Can’t get enough X-Men, Mighty Marvelites? Of course not! So without further ado, it’s now official: Bryan Singer will direct “X-Men: First Class” for 20th Century Fox!

Singer returns to the X-Men franchise after directing the first two films in the series; “X-Men” in 2000 and “X2” in 2003.

According to reports, Professor Xavier and Magneto will be in their 20s. Separately, Fox is developing origin films about Magneto, Deadpool and also a sequel to this year’s smash, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”

I'm just wondering who is in this "first class." I mean...if Magneto's in his 20s...and he survived the Holocaust...that's...50s/60s. Should be interesting to see how they pull that off.

I'm surprised they're calling this "First Class," since that usually refers to the original five, which really wouldn't be doable here, admittedly.

I'm hoping to see more mutants not yet seen in the mvies, like Banshee and Dazzler. Hey, a guy can hope.

An x-men tv show that won't feature many of the most recognizable characters in the franchise, save possibly Wolverine?

Gonna be interesting to see how this works out.

Sorry, I don't know why I was thinking this was a show.

Anyways, the point still stands

It IS a good point, but there are several options:

1. Don't tie it into the other movies. Sort of a pointless thing, but it gives them more freedom.

2. Use lesser-known characters and try to build them up. Plus...Mystique's quite old in the comics, and it could be used to explain why she's with Magneto in the main trilogy.
