So this thread i have made has come about as for the first time ever pokemon is having a simutaneous worldwide release

Because of this i was thinking, are all (or at least most) countries going to get the same (or similar) events and amounts of events. In past games the japenese editions have always gotten a lot more events then any other and i was just thinking whether the worldwide relaease may stop this.

First thread so sorry if it infringes any rules or is the wrong place, but i will accept if i have done something wrong

Soo anyway post ideas and what you think

I think there are like in Pokémon Black that some pokémon may be a futuristic event. (or something like that) Like Genesect and Meloetta.

I would love that, but I'm sure Japan will always get more events than the rest of the world, unfortunately. I'm still pissed we never got the shiny Hydreigon/Golurk event.

Id say it's possible wi-fi events will be worldwide at the same time which is very nice, no waiting. I think Japan may continue to get more events though as they always seem to give out events for more things, but things like the Hidden legendaries I'd like to see distributed world wide at the same time.

Aguanova i agree event only mon's should definatly be released at the same time for all languages

and yeah i really wanted that Hydregion :-( i was gonna name it fluffy as well

Yeah, we'll probably still see Japan getting more promotions, especially those based on the anime and other outside promotions. As the moves are released at different times, those probably won't be distributed simultaneously either, but I do hope we'll get more of them though as we tend to miss out on a lot.

I really wanted the 10th Anniversary Groudon and Kyogre myself, they would've fitted very well along with my other legendaries in White 2. The promotion ended on January 10, 2013 in Japan so there might be a chance..

In the same vein as the whole "bringing players worldwide together" thing they seem to be going for especially in Gen 6, they might try to get a few more international events in, but it's doubtful that we'll get as many events as Japan does. After all, Pokémon is obviously bigger there than any other part of the world.

i hope so, mostly i hope to transfer my mew and mewtwo over or atleast an event mew if i cant

there was a shiny golurk event? *sadpanda*

Hopefully general wifi releases are global, like the Torchic looks to be. I would assume that other regions would also get their own exclusive event distros in-store, possibly not as many as in Japan like others have said.

Anime-related events will probably be some months behind still, since the anime's still going to be a few months behind.

The world-wide approach will definitely help. I wonder how language/region will factor into things though. For example, my 3DS and Pokemon X game cartridge might be Japanese, but I choose to play the game in English. Would that allow me to download Japanese event Pokemon? It'll be interesting to see how it works out.

I doubt it will be the same wifi type events. 3ds games tend to be spotpass events or dlc content events.

That's the thing though, apparently it is going to be one universal cartridge.

Do you have a source for this? Because I live in Korea, but my 3DS is North American, and can only play NTSC games. If I could run to the store and buy a Korean Pokemon cartridge and play it on my 3DS that'd be great! And since I could change the language in-game (as they announced), I wouldn't have to worry about learning all the Pokemon names in Korean, and all the other slight differences (sometimes attack names, item names, etc. are slightly different).

Whilst this isn't directly related to XY, I thought this would be good place to post this. With XY only 21 or so days away and the shiny creation trio event still running, is there any chance us people outside of Japan will get a Jirachi wi-fi event for BW/BW2? Sadly I don't think it's likely to happen but I really wanted it ;.;

In spite of this game being world wide in release I'm still pretty sure it will mean business as usual, japan will get a lot of good stuff and US will be behind. Also anyone hear about the B-day pokemon gift? I read about it on Serebii.net. It said that on your b-day you get to choose between pikachu, eevee or one of her evolutions, including Sylveon! But I think its only in japan. If so...figures.

Best Wishes Jirachi
Film Red Genesect and Mewtwo

Doubt we will see either of these.

Damn it, I forgot completely about those. *sigh* Hope for XY wifi event for the Genesect at least? ...No? :(
