Just got back from seeing it, so I'm doing this while I'm fresh.

Overall - 8.5 out of 10.

Story - 4 out of 10. There WAS a story. There WAS a plot. But it felt more like three or four movies crammed together. SO MANY characters got introduced, but not fleshed out. In fact, Angel isn't even CALLED Angel (and only has two scenes where he speaks). Colossus has one line (no accent). And too many characters' fates are left up in the air. Juggernaut gets knocked out in the end, and is never seen again. In fact, after the big fight scene, only 7 characters are seen again.

Characters - 10 out of 10. The characters chosen worked for the story, the people playing them were perfect, and aside from some mistakes with characters and their powers, it was perfect. And, if you look carefully, you can pick out such gems as Phat from X-Statix, Glob Herman, Spike (from X-Men: Evolutions...although VASTLY different), and a few others that I'm not 100% certain on, and weren't listed in the credits.

Again, I'd give it an 8.5 overall. It FELT conclusive, but the ending was vague enough to give the hope of future sequals. You don't walk away feeling cheated (because of the many ongoing stories), but you do wonder what the future could hold. And, if you go to see it, stay through the credits. Short scene follows that explains the fate of one character.

*will see it tomorrow and will review then*

Spike (from X-Men: Evolutions...although VASTLY different),
Wait, do you mean who was in the trailer who I heard was Quill? Please tell me Quill was in it. :O

"I'm the Juggernaut, b****!" XD Oh my God, I laughed for a long time when I heard that. It's truly amazing how well-connected they are with the banbase. I also laughed when Quill killed Rao. That was hilarious.

Why did Scott die? o.o I know the writers like to shft him, but this is even worse than X2!

Phoenix's backstory was so lame. I want alien forces that posseses bodies, not Jean's evil side that Xavier put aside or something. o.o And how she survied was lame too! A force field caused by her telekinesis? Everyone in the theatre just rolled their eyes.

Mystique is such a little traitor. Not that I blame her, Erik just left her there. Tool.

Where in the world was Psycloke for the majority of the movie? She was there, dissappeared, came back for the climax, and killed. Yeah.

Angel was sandwiched in there. His father trying to cure him like that was interesting, but we already saw the whole "parents hate their kids being mutants" last time. He served no purpose but to have all five of the original X-Men in the movie that could be the last.

Rogue/Bobby/Kitty was so random. I like the idea, but it was barely there. Save for it for X4, guys. Speaking of which, where was Colossus/Kitty? And Pete's voicebox for the record? And GAMBIT? Seriously, that was just an insult.

No Gambit, but Spyke? May as well say it, the was changed from black to white. Um... why? Alicia and Kingpin I can understand, but it's not like Spyke actually did anything. Yes, I plan on complaining every time they change someone's race or whatever.

ICEMAN ICED UP.

Um, what happened to John and Elaine Grey? o.o

Bottom line, they should have had Phoenix and Brotherhood/The Cure as seperate movies. There was too much going on. x.x

Ororo's eyes went white at least three times while she used her powers. Beast hung from his feet and was flipping and stuff while battling. My two favorite X-Men things. <3

So many mutants. People mentioned Spyke but I thought they were talking about the Quill dude but they actually had Spyke which was great though he was different. I heard about the Danger Room at the beginning and it was cool but I didn't expect a Sentinel in it so that was an awesome surprise. And Stan Lee at the very beginning surprised me as well.

It did have annoying parts as well though. The changing of some mutants, the deaths and no more powers of others, no cameo of Jubilee again, no Gambit in any movies, and the worst part: no more X-Men movies. ;-;

So much more of it was awesome as well but there was so much of it that I can't remember it right now. @.@ But overall, it pwned. It just might surpass Shawshank as my favorite. <3

And not really part of the movie but the Ghost Rider preview was great as well. ^_^

There MIGHT be more X-Men movies. This is just the end of the trilogy. And, with the numbers that they've earned so far, the Wolverine movie is pretty much guaranteed.

And we didn't get the Ghost Rider preview. We got Superman Returns, Omen, Snakes on a Plane, and My Super Ex-Girlfriend. I was really hoping to for the Ghost Rider trailer...but nope.

I wasn't counting the Wolverine (and Magneto which you mentioned in the preview thread) movie. I meant ones with all of them. If there are more than I'll be thrilled.

Replace Superman Returns with Ghost Rider and you have the previews I saw.

I got the Ghost Rider trailer when I saw it.

There was something at the end? Argh, that means I have to go see it again.

As for the movie.
AH!
They kill Prof. X! How can you have the X-Men without him? Though, I guess that would be the plot to X4.
The ending before the credits was one smack in the face. Here we thought it was all over and then
Erik showed his powers returning.
Though that's the smack fans welcome.
The specialeffects were incredible but that's something we have come to expect from Marvel movies. Still, the scene of moving the Golden Gate Bridge was impressive to say the least.

The line "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut bitch!" had the entire theater laughing. I've been thinking of putting that in my sig for laughs.

Go see it again, MAKE SURE you stay past the credits. That very issue is dealt with in the scene.
