Yes people, they're not just appearing at E3 - they're having their own showcase and Q&A on 11th June at 6pm (PST).

The Pokemon panel will include Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, President & CEO of The Pokémon Company and Mr. Junichi Masuda, Director of GAME FREAK.

Well, this is exciting.

Apparently it's 90 minutes long too. :0

Ishihara and Masuda will be there.

I didn't know where to post this info, so I figured I should start a new thread.

Wow, I wasn't expecting Pokemon to get this kind of treatment! This is fantastic news! Hopefully we'll get a lot of new information!

This does not appear to be a Nintendo Direct or a public event at all, unfortunately.

Well, that probably means tons of new info at (or during) E3 and absolutely no info before that

I think Gold and Silver was the last time a main game was at E3. But this sounds awesome. We'll be getting this and Corocoro a few days later.

This is just awesome news. I was hoping that they would include some information at E3, but I wasn't expecting a panel that long. This should reveal quite a bit of information and footage from the games.

^ Maybe even some solid game play while were at it. Either way, THIS is interesting news.

From what I've gathered, it's behind close-doors, a round-table, and the people there can't take pictures...however, I imagine that they'll probably release pictures officially (like they did with the Zelda SS Poster that was revealed at one of these) if there's like New Pokemon revealed sometime after the conference. Pretty sure people there can, however, blog about what they see freely so we'll be getting text info simultaneously as it occurs.

Also, even though it's 90-minutes, since it's kind of a discussion (think a large Iwata Asks I guess), they'll probably be a lot of it consisting of them talking about the history of the series, goals, etc. and not 90-minutes of new information and such.

That's what I think, too, just a long time chatting about irrelevant or repetitive things. I also doubt they will show us more than what will be in next month's Coro Coro, as all info across the world has to be the same.

Someone could also smuggle in a small tape recorder--if they can pull it off--and get the audio if they so desire. Prime and I used to do this at conventions so that we could correct some of the fans who went off half-cocked. You'd be surprised how much stuff is misinterpreted within five minutes of leaving a panel room.

With that said, I am really excited about this. Seems as though the news drought might finally be over! XD

Hopefully this Q&A session leads to the reveal of the potential new type. It's the perfect opportunity to explain all facets of the addition to the type chart, so I don't see why it won't happen.

I kinda hope we won't have to pull the teeth of journalists to figure out all of the details...

Awesome. Though I can't say I'm surprised. Given the international treatment Pokémon XY has been recieving, this was to be expected.

Let's hope it's good.

*fangirlish screeeeeeeam*

The info in bulbanews is misleading then, I thought it was only a possibility after readiing the news.

Another Pokémon Direct would be the perfect opportunity for that. This presentation is for the media first and foremost, and there is a possiblity that the journalists won't even be allowed to relay the information. I am not impressed yet.

Wow!! I was expecting maybe a very small event, but 90 minutes!!! And when was the last time a main series Pokemon game was actually showcased at E3? Seems Nintendo is really promoting X and Y as their flagship, and I can definitely see a boost of 3DS sales.... A smart move...

SO, what can we expect? Many of you say that they won't be telling us that much new stuff.. And, we'll be getting CoroCoro released at about the same time..... Does that mean CC and the E3 conference will just give us the same info? I hope not.... I hope, for once (I think it would be the first time), the info we get from said conference is NOT the same as what we get from CoroCoro....

But regardless of whether they give us the same stuff from CC or not, I'm really happy that Nintendo is FINALLY showcasing the main series Pokemon games at larger events... And I hope they continue to do this in the future too....
