Background:

Twelve year old Rico Palms was raised in the city of Fortree City since birth. He lived at home in Fortree City with his Mother Lily Palms, one of Professor Birch’s top field researchers and one of the best herbal Medicine makers in Hoenn, and his younger sister Jess Palms, 1-year his junior. As a young lad Rico always had a deeper connection to the earth, nature, and all living creatures. Having grown up in Fortree City from birth really taught Rico how to truly understand the feelings and relationships of all living things on the planet. As a result Rico learned how to communicate with Pokemon and Nature in a what seemed to be a spiritual manner. Rico developed the ability to not only sense and read a Pokemon’s feelings and thoughts, but also the compassion required to be able to harness the true natures of Human and Pokemon and bring about a harmonious Symphony of possibility. During his tales in Fortree as a lad Rico befriended many of the local and forest Pokemon with the help of his Mother’s friends, a Lotad and a Seedot. His stories of his adventures were a real novelty amongst the People of Fortree, including his best friend Nancy Redwoods whom Rico had grown up with.

On the eve of his 13th birthday Rico was given a ticket by his Mother and Sister aboard the S.S. Cathedral, a Luxury Ferry headed for the Kanto region, where he would join the local 13 year olds headed to the start of their own Journey. Among those soon-to-be trainers were Nancy, Greg Evergreen, and Jojo Cypress. Greg Evergreen was Rico's longtime neighbor while Jojo Cypress was the granddaughter of one of the Fortress City Elders. Rico was more ecstatic than ever about finally getting to become a Pokemon Trainer as it was finally his time to show the world what he can do.

Appearance/Personality:
Rico is 6 Feet Tall and has black hair with a green and white headband that runs thru it. He wears a Black Jacket that he obtained as a gift from Winona, the local gym leader, and wears a white shirt and dark jeans underneath with green and white sneakers to match. He also carries with him a bag that he puts over his side that he uses to carry his provisions.
On hand he usually carries around his element-proof Voice recorder, to take oral memos of stuff he needs to not forget and his Black Poke-Nav he received as a second gift on his birthday.
In his bag are the usual provisions a trainer carries like antidotes, escape ropes, and repels. As well as berries and herbs of all sort, as Rico is skilled at the art of Berry Picking in trees and conjuring herbal remedies learned thru his youth.
Rico's personality is simple. He is a relaxed, laid back, and chill person at heart with a compassion for Nature, Pokemon, and Humans. Although he does recognize that humans carry with many flaws, he personally thinks one good moment worth living is worth all of the bad moments experienced. He sees the good and potential in everyone he meets and does not judge on looks or first impressions. Rico's second passion in life is food and he hates when Humans AND/OR Pokemon are, or are being humiliated and/or put down in a manner that exceeds natural order, and will do anything at his power to put things right.

Background/ Appearance/ Personality:

Greg Evergreen was born and raised in Fortree City in the Hoenn Region. His journey came about on his 13th birthday when he was given a ticket aboard the S.S. Cathedral heading toward Kanto. Through out his childhood, Greg was neighbors with Rico. He grew up to two normal parents and his older sister Leila, 2 years his elder. The experiences lived during his childhood molded Greg to be a good kind hearted person. He had respect and courtesy towards anybody and everybody Humans and Pokemon being a truly Gentle being at heart. Greg was inspired to become a trainer after seeing the changes in his older sister after she went about her own journey. Greg's goals are to become a legendary Trainer and surpass everyone in his family, including his sister.

In terms of appearance Greg is 5 feet 8 inches. His body type is husky as opposed to the lean Rico. Greg has dark brown hair and is always seen wearing an opened short sleeved Blue Flannel shirt with a black undershirt, dark jeans, black and blue shoes, and a black bandana that he always folds and ties below the cuts of his right shoulder muscles. He also wears a a Black Backpack where he keeps all his provisions and well as his trusty Trumpet.

On hand Greg carries only a Red Poke-Nav that he got for his birthday and his handheld music player as he believes the sound of Jazz and Classical Music soothes the savage beast, Jazz being his favorite genre as Greg is an avid Trumpet player.

Name: Nancy Redwoods
Age: 13
Hometown: Fortree City, Hoenn

Background:
Nancy Redwoods is the childhood best friend of Rico Palms. Nancy Redwoods was born and raised in the Fortree City. She was raised by her Father and has an older brother Mario, 3 years her elder, and a younger sister Cindy, 2 years her junior. Through her childhood Nancy would always be in the company of Rico. The two were always inseparable. She was the one that accompanied Rico through all his childhood adventures, always being there to enjoy the moments that made life were living. Because of this, her and Rico share a bond that holds true no matter the obstacles.

On her 13th birthday Nancy received a Ticket aboard the S.S. Cathedral to start her journey in Kanto, being the first in her family to have to chance to do so.

Appearance/Personality:
Nancy is 5 feet 5 inches tall has a slender build. Nancy has brown hair and is usually seen wearing a white and red hat with an insignia of a Pokeball on it, a Red dress with black leggings and a white undershirt, white boots with red laces, and her gray bag that she wears around her waist.

On hand Nancy carries around her green Poke-Nav, and a small handheld sketchbook to draw anything that may be in the moment.

In terms of her personality, the only thing one can say about Nancy is that she brings out all good and bad traits about being a human. Her overall personality is a bit on the edge at times as she is prone to stress easily, something Rico has been working hard to try to rid her of. Nancy and Rico make the best combinations as they check one another's faults and strengths, a fact that they both cherish.

Hometown: Lavaridge Town, Hoenn

Background:

Not much is known about Jojo other than the fact that she is the Granddaughter of one of the village elders of Fortree City. She, just like the others, was given a ticket aboard the S.S Cathedral in pursuit of the start of a journey.

Appearance/Personality:

Jojo is 5 feet 2 inches tall. She has naturally curly black hair and is usually seen wearing a Pink Ladies Flannel with a white undershirt, blue skin tight blue jeans, white and pink shoes, and a white backpack where she keeps her provisions.

On hand Jojo usually carries around her gold colored Poke-Nav, as well as a compact mirror to check her looks or the surroundings.

In terms of Personality, Jojo can be somewhat vain and obnoxious though she posses many survival skills as well as having one of the most aware minds around. Her ability to talk to People though can be improved as she usually causes disturbances with people through the use of her vivid vocabulary. Nonetheless, she regards herself as the next Champion and will smite whoever comes in her way.
