Yellow Forest to be available from April 1-30: HeartGold, SoulSilver site updated as well

The official site for the games Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver has just been updated after the release of the North American versions of the games. Among the information included is the distribution date for the Yellow Forest Pokéwalker Route. Players of the North American versions of the games will be able to obtain it via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection from April 1-30.

Awsome! I'm glad to see that they are supporting this, even as early as it is in HG/SS's release. Hard to believe how close April is though!

Considering the PAL and Australian English versions are the same as the US games... of course, it's likely.

When you send a mon to the walker you unlock the course.

I own an European version (UK) of the game and I tested if I can download.

And it works!
European guys with UK version, you can download!

EDIT: How to get it,

-Have the Pokédex, which will unlock the Mystery Gift on the start screen
-Go to the Mystery Gift and select the option "Receive Gift", followed by "Get Via Nintendo WFC"
-Wait for the game to download the gift
-Enter the game world and go to your nearest PokéMart
-Talk with the Deliverman in a green suit
-Save the game and restart so you can go to the Pokéwalker management screen
-Go on a Stroll normally and one of the options for route should be the Yellow Forest!

Am I correct that you have to walk 10000+ steps for the special HM Pikachus to begin appearing?

If Bulbapedia is correct, yes for the Flying Pikachu. The Surf Pikachu takes 9500 steps. Needless to say, if the Poké in the walker is Ground, Electric or Grass it'll only take 7500 and 7125 steps respectively.
