Simple enough thread. :P

Is your site dynamic or are you still updating every page for your new link?

Went 'Dynamic' in 2002 with SSI and since then have moved on to PHP. It's impossible to run any medium/large-scale website like Pokecharms without dynamcy.... (Making up words now)

It -is- possible, but no one wants to go to the trouble these days...

All my sites are dynamic, I couldn't live anymore without the PHP include code. <3

Me either. Of course my site's dynamic. How do you expect someone to edit hundreds of pages of content every time you need to change a navbar? :P
OK, so maybe the hundreds of pages thing is an exaggeration... XD

100s of pages? Nice try Robo. :P We all know that it wouldn't be hard for you to update the 3 pages... XD J/K~!

Though you close/open the forums enough that it's only sensible for you to make your pages dynamic... XD

*smacks Greg with trout*
I can't help it if the vB license expired and I had to get another software. -_-

But you've closed them and restarted them so much. :p

I haven't actually had to code many sites recently - my last personal project used static XML documents together with some fairly complex on-the-fly XSLT stylesheets; the Bulbagarden site code, on the other hand, is mainly a PHP page wrapper.

^-^

The last time I had a non-dynamic site was with Hosting Anime >>; That was a PAIN! That's why I devoted time to actually learning how to do it =S

Last time I had one was when WCC was just starting out on Tripod. x.x
Needless to say, there was only one page with navigation. The back button was your friend. XD

XD

I really didn't get any hits on HA, but dynamic pages has increased my site views by TENFOLD!

>>Anyone think I could do an infomercial?

I still haven't gotten around to learning PHP or anything really beyond basic CSS. My site's so freaking basic that even I'M saddened by it. But with over 700 pages, it's hard to get around to doing any sort of redesign now. I still haven't gotten around to adding a back link to the end pages. But my problem is that I'm too busy trying to update the content to get around to even learning HOW to make it look better.

My site's as dynamic as a catbox. But it's a damned masterpiece in terms of the number of sites I've attempted to build over the years.

Yep. Using PHP in most places, though picking up SSI on one of my sites.

lots of mod_perl goodness. could probably stand to be cleaned up a bit, but eh it works.
