You wake up as a Pokemon...which one are you?

This is based off a story idea I had where the whole world gets turned into Pokemon. The prompt is pretty simple, but it can be interpreted in a multitude of ways:

1. Which Pokemon would you WANT to become? It could be because it's your favorite, or because its powers intrigue you.
2. Which Pokemon would you EXPECT to become, based off your personality, traits, etc.?

As cliche as it sounds, I think I'd probably be a Pikachu, specifically a chunky Pikachu like the early days. I'm short and on the rounder side, with a quick wit I think could translate to an electric type pretty well.

1. I would love to be a Slowking. Kind of taking it easy but still able to do the things I love.
2. Realistically? I expect to be turned into a Toedscool because I'm antsy and walk really fast. Physically I'm mostly just Legs too lol.

Mew. It has telekinesis and teleportation. It is hard to find, it flies and it can transform into anything it wants.

want to become? well going to be honest i think if i actually had the opportunity to be a magical creature with superpowers and high intelligence i wouldn’t be very picky, though if i had to pick something in particular it would be a pokemon that can fly. i doubt in this hypothetical scenario that the powers that be would actually let me do this but i’d love to be a latias. it’s one of my favorites and being able to fly around at high speeds like latias sounds great. its invisibility powers from the anime intrigue me too and i like the idea of living a more solitary life where i get to choose who i show myself to.

as for what i think i’d actually become? espeon, pretty much no contest. it’s not even my favorite eeveelution (that award goes to jolteon) but i’ve just felt connected with it since i was young, maybe because i was eevee -> espeon in my first mystery dungeon game, or maybe not. regardless, a psychic quadruped cat feels very fitting for me for a variety of reasons (my brand of autism gets me associated with cats a lot, i am a very in-my-head kind of person, etc) and it also is one half of a duality with umbreon… if you know anything about me, i’m really big on duality and consider myself to be a dual existence in a way because of how my DID presents. being incarnated as an espeon and umbreon with one of my alters would not surprise me.

if not espeon, definitely a cat pokemon of some kind. i am too cat not to be lol

1. For the reasons skynerel said, I can't see any better option than mew. If I can’t choose mew, then ditto.
2. Floette, for many years has been a pokémon I think of myself as. The main reason is honestly because it looks like me as a kid, because I used to wear pigtails all the time and I love flowers. I’m not a very strong person, and I’ve been compared to a plant due to my pickiness about sunlight and love of rain (gamefreak was wrong not giving it grass type btw). I’ve never really related to florges, I don’t think I’d evolve even if given the choice of interacting with a shiny stone. If not floette I’d probably be some other grass type.

looks at my title and sweats nervously turn into a pokemon haha yeah totally! i'm definitely not one of those already....

but in all seriousness i very clearly would want to turn into a Zoroark it's been one of my favorite pokemon ever since i was a child and its become a huge part of my personal identity. its to the point that its hard to know what pokemon id realistically turn into because i kinda just already see zoroark and go "that's literally me" maybe a smeargle? it's hard to decide.

 

[Viridian Beedrill]

1. Want: Noivern, Flygon, or literal shiny Beedrill (my favorites that can fly, basically)
2. Realistic: I'd probably be some kind of Ghost-Type, because I apparently have no presence and have scared the daylights out of multiple co-workers by accident. ("Make noise," they say. I don't think suddenly hearing someone next to you would be any better than looking up to see someone standing there, but maybe that's just me.) I love stuffed animals, so maybe I'd become one myself and turn into a Banette.
