Anyone else here a fan of this awesome show?

Just watched the latest episode this morning, still a fan of it, albeit not a MAJOR fan.

Young Justice is ok, but it's not as good as Teen Titans. I miss hearing "Titans! GO!" when I see robin.

Agendas was good. Some revelations and development for Superboy.
Turns out he has both Superman's and Luthor's DNA in this universe as well.

I didn't see anything in the rules section about bumping. So I guess I'll just post here instead of making a new thread like I originally intended to.

Anyways, did anyone here watch the premiere of Young Justice: Invasion? I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I'm kind of irate that the writers just suddenly skipped ahead five years without warning. There's a lot of loose ends that need to be tied up. It just kind of irks me to have so much thrown on me at one time without warning or explanation. I know there will be one at some point.

My thoughts on the team roster changes:

- Dick becoming Nightwing was unexpected to say the least. I always figured it would happen later rather than sooner.

- Seeing Tim as the new Robin was a welcome surprise. Took me awhile to figure out who he was. At first I thought it was Dick as Red Robin, but I realized that was impossible because Dick never becomes RR. Then I thought it might have been Damian Wayne just because of his design. Glad to hear it was Tim though, he always was my favorite Robin. Kinda disappointed that Jason Todd got ignored though.

- I'm surprised to see that Mal and Bumblebee had joined the team. I curious as to how/when that happened exactly. Last we saw Mal and Karen, they were both ordinary students. I'm not sure if Mal has actually become Herald yet. Aside from the fact that he's on the team, I've seen no indication that he has any powers which is a bit disappointing.

-I kinda like Beast Boy's new look. It's different from all the comic adaptations I've seen of him. He usually looks relatively human (aside from his skin) his new look is distinctly more primate. I think it's kinda cool. Also I like the fact that he's wearing the red and white outfit from his original appearance.

- Blue Beetle is interesting. I haven't read too much on him. Everything that I do know of BB comes from the Ted Kord/Booster Gold stuff. So Jamie is a bit of a mystery to me. He seems alright so far. He provided some great comic relief in the episode.

- I like M'Gann's new look. She morphed her hair shorter. I'm assuming this is a way of distancing herself from her old "Megan" persona. I think this is a huge step forward for her as a character. It's nice having a visible sign of her development. Although she still masquerades as a green martian.

- I'm also curious as to why M'Gann and Connor broke up, and how her relationship with Lagoon Boy began. Connor seems to be taking it relatively well aside from some minor groaning. I'm interested to see how Connor and Lagoon Boy interact with each other.

- Seeing Bat Girl on the team was a nice surprise. I was just thinking to myself the other day, about how different the show would be if she became a regular character. Also, I mistook Wonder Girl for Super Girl until her name was spoken. Kind of embarrassing.

- Rocket and Zatanna are now full fledged league members. That's kind of a shame. I guess we won't be seeing them as often as I'd hoped. I'm disappointed, I was just starting to like Rocket too.

- By far my biggest question is, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REST OF THE TEAM!? Aqualad, Kid Flash, Artemis, and Red Arrow are all conspicuously absent. We already know Red Arrow went looking for the real Speedy. My guess is that the other joined him for assistance. The only other possibilities I could see are some kind of falling out, or death. I think the latter is way too dark for a kid's show though.

My thoughts on the plot so far *Major spoilers included*

So we know that the missing hours thing from last season is going to be a key plot point. I have a vague idea of what may have happened based on what we've seen in this episode.

- At the beginning of the episode we see Gordon Godfrey doing what he does best, persuading people with mob psychology. For those who don't know, Gordon Godfrey or Glorious Gordon, has the ability to persuade people into doing some pretty nasty stuff. Here we already see him turning the Earth against Aliens and by proxy the Justice League for associating with them.

- I'm pretty sure that the Krolotean are a big red herring. They seem way too obvious to truly be evil. I think the reason that they're stealing technology is to defend themselves (or maybe even the Earth) from the real threat this season. From what I know of them, they're pretty evil in the comics, but like I said, it's just too simple. There's gotta be more to it than that. My mind literally won't let me believe it.

- Another interesting thing about GG is that he happens to be one of Darkseid's higher up's. I'm assuming that's what the real invasion, and the missing hours, is all about. A Darkseid confrontation seems to be what this is all leading up to.

All in all though, I love where this new season is headed. I can't wait to see how this all plays out.

Blue Beetle's name is Jaime (pronounced "hi may"), not Jamie. The scarab actually bonded to him physically, unlike when it was in Ted or Dan's possession. He seems pretty similar to his Batman: The Brave and the Bold appearances.

There are supposed to be multiple alien races involved in this season. I suspect one of them to be the Reach. The aforementioned Blue Beetle scarab is a member of the Reach, who also often conflict with the Green Lantern Corps. I wonder if this version of Jaime has had to convince his "bugsuit" (as he calls it in the comics) not to attack one of Earth's GLs, that would be fun to see.

Oh gosh , I love this show so much. Every week it manages to impress me with how well written it is.

I wasn't sure about Season 2 at first seeing as so much had changed between the 5 year leap, but eh, I love it anyways. After the most recent episode though, I was a little disappointed my favourite member of the original team is now apparently a villain. I really hope he turns out to be a double agent or something ;_;

You were correct. I called it as well. The latest episode was awesome, with that revelation as well as the return of Artemis, only to have her join Kaldur deep undercover after faking her death. Man, what an episode.

You're telling me! Every time I think this show has reached its peak, it always does something else even more amazing. I'll admit that I was actually fooled when Kaldur "stabbed" Artemis, but boy was I relieved when Nightwing revealed it was all an elaborate plan. I really wonder what the rest of the team's reaction will be once they find out when everything is over, and I wonder why Superboy or Miss Martian weren't let in on the whole secret.

Well, remember what happened
the last time Miss Martian went into a situation knowing it was fake but then saw Artemis die?
That might have something to do with it. Plus with things like this it's necessary to keep the circle small. It might hurt relationships with friends when it all comes out, but the plan is more likely to work if the reactions are genuine.
