Note: I'm not looking for an entire songs lyrics, just a line or two.

One of my absolute favourites is the effortlessly beautiful I never sleep, because sleep is the cousin of death from Nas' NY State of Mind.

So what are some of your faves?

Think of this as solving problems that should never have occurred
Please don't call it strangulation, that is such an ugly word

-They Might Be Giants, "Erase"

"We have all been frightened by
The sound of footsteps on the pavement of our lives"
- Disturbed, "Pain Redefined"

Hey you, looking at me, I’m talking to you
I’m Silvia Night shining in the light, I know you want me too
Born in Reykjavik in a different league, no damn eurotrash freak
The vote is in, I’ll fucking win, too bad for all the others

"Smile" by Eyedea & Abilities is lyrically my favorite song of all time, but this one especially stands out:

Kids barely eighteen are dying
So billionaires can make more
Elsewhere hungry mothers watch their babies
Starve to death in a beat-up shack on a dirt floor...

You can throw me to the wolves,
Tomorrow I will come back, leader of the whole pack.

From Bring Me The Horizon's "Throne". The entire song's lyrics are sick as hell in all honesty, but these two lines got me, yo.

The idea of community will be something displayed at a museum.
Enter Shikari's "Juggernauts". Shit's deep and pretty true, and I just got a penchant for almost every song by these guys.

Yeah, yeah we're nice guys.
UNTIL WE'RE NOT.

Another Shikari song, "Sssnakepit". It's so ridiculous it's great.

Don't bow down when you could be rising up.
Young Guns' "Rising Up".

I could honestly be here all day so eh.

"I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay,
I sleep all night and I work all day!"
-Monty Python, "Lumberjack Song"

From Home by LCD Soundsystem:
If you're afraid of what you need
If you're afraid of what you need
Look around you
You're surrounded
It won't get any better
I don't even know why that's comforting. It sounds kinda pessimistic when written out, actually, but the way James Murphy sings it is pure gold.

That whole song is pretty fantastic, to be honest.

Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan

You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse
When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you've got no secrets to conceal

The bolded bit really strikes a chord with me.
