Mine would be when i caught Giratina in masterball in platinum when i was young... I wasted it. After Weaking it.:XD2:

One was how i caught Mewtwo in a Quick ball on the start of the third reset-battle. Catching Cobalion in second or third try in Ultra Ball..., Same with Thundurus and i guess the Rock type One from the Cobalion/Virizon Trio.

Well... My Luck is only catching Legends.:XD2: All normal Pkmn i Try catching (Since i got White) get KOed without any possible reason. Shinies have stopped appearing Since Platinum (Exept the Red Gyara):bawl:

So, What are Your Best Captures?:lick:
 
Level 70 Ho-oh with about 80-90% of its health left in a pokéball on Silver.

Level 40 Latias with full health in a luxury ball on Sapphire.
 
Zekrom with a single Ultra Ball at full health, Victini with a Pokéball at full health.
 
this really has nothing to do with legendaries, but i found a female eevee in the trophy garden, and because of how rare female eevees are, i really wanted to catch it. i got it down to red health, used an ultra ball, it broke free. used another ultra ball, it broke free. this went on for a while, until my only pokeball left was a regular one. i threw it, and it shook three times and caught eevee!
 
My best was probably when I caught Articuno, Mesprit, Moltres, and Cresselia in one night! I only had 5 dusk balls, a quick ball, and a master ball in my bag (sure as hell wasn't using the master ball). I went legendary-searching, and when I found Articuno I weakened it down and finally got it with a dusk ball. Then on my way back to the pokecenter/mart I found Mesprit, and weakened it and caught it with a dusk ball also. Then after the pokecenter I forgot about the mart :/ and went back to do other things, when I found Moltres and caught it in another dusk ball. Then I found Cresselia the next route over and caught it at full health in a quick ball! I guess that's 4 captures and not 1, but it was all in a span of about 5 minutes, it was crazy. Especially since I spent about an hour earlier in the day trying to get Mesprit in an ultra ball.
 
Unaware of Volcarona's location, I was exploring post league White version and stumbled upon it. I was totally unprepared, I didn't have my whole team with me and I had very few Pokeballs, but I did have one Quick Ball. I thought I'd save and give it one try, and I caught it first time. :3
 
Against Giratina in Pearl, I threw a regular pokeball first turn for the hell of it.

Caught it :O
 
I didn't know where Suicune was on SoulSilver. So I went up to Cerulean Cape and Suicune was there. I used Tobi the Ivysaur to get down its HP. It was asleep and I used cut. It almost KO'd it and I caught it with one Ultra Ball.
 
Zekrom with a Quick Ball on the first turn, Mewtwo on the second Dusk Ball, Cobalion on the first Dusk Ball at full health, shiny Tangela at full health with a Great Ball, and Giratina on the second Ultra Ball. I could list more, but I'm too lazy to. :/
 
When I got to catch a illumise shiny and Latios in one day! I couldn't have been happier!
 
I caught most of my legendaries with only a pokeball like Suicune and Virizion for example. I also caught Reshiram and Zekrom with pokeballs as well, but I believe that the catch rate is increased for the progression of the storyline lol either that or they were booster catches :p

Reshiram and Zekrom's catch rate is much lower than the average legendary, so yes, it is progressed for purposes of the storyline.
 
When I caught my Shiny Sneazel in Platinum with a Premier Ball after it broke out of about everything else.
