I just got through battling the Elite Four in Diamond/Pearl (I restarted my game out of boredom). So I wanted to ask, what is your favorite Regional Elite Four and Champion and why?

GEN I
Lorelei - Ice
Bruno - Fighting
Agatha - Ghost
Lance - Dragon
Blue - Various

GEN II
Will - Psychic
Koga - Poison
Bruno - Fighting
Karen - Dark
Lance - Dragon

GEN III
Sydney - Dark
Phoebe - Ghost
Glacia - Ice
Drake - Dragon
Steven - Steel

GEN IV
Aaron - Bug
Bertha - Ground
Flint - Fire
Lucian - Psychic
Cynthia - Various

I like the Hoenn Elite four and Champ, because It's the only one where I felt like I had to use 6 different types in my party to win. The other three you can steam roll with 2-3 types.

Hoenn. Just... good, and fun in general. Not a blow-over, like Kanto. Not easy, then insane when you get to the Champ (Johto). Not having horrible teams (Sinnoh). It avoids the pitfalls of the rest, and therefore is the best.

Also, note that Hoenn has two champions: Steven (RS), and Wallace (E).

I quite like the Gen II league, especially in HGSS.

They've all got members that I like and ones that I don't particularly care about... but it would have to be between the two versions of the Kanto league for me. I'm horribly indecisive...

Playing SS has reminded me of how easy Gen II is -- almost every Pokemon each one has is a dual-type, which almost defeats the purpose of being an expert trainer in ___ Pokemon.

I do love Gen III's, though. If there was a real E4, they would be it.

Either the Johto league, because it was the first I ever beat and because their HG/SS rematch teams are really cool and though, or the Kanto league because of how awesome they were in Pokémon Adventures.

Sinnoh.
It's the easiest to train on, great for your pokedex and Cynthia took me an hour and a half to beat the first time.
If Orre counts I would like to put that in second

I'll have to go with Hoenn's Elite 4. Considering the E4 used so many Pokémon that were hardly used during that time and after by other trainers (save for the evil teams) such as Sharpedo, Mightyena, Shiftry, Banette, Sableye, Wailord, Walrein, Glalie, Cradily, etc.)

Also, Steven's team was probably the hardest team I ever had to beat, on par with Cynthia's.

I think that Hoenn was the biggest challenge for me, even with a level 70 Razquaza in tow. (yes, I was pathetic in my emerald days)!

I enjoy the Sinnoh E4 because those are the games I have played the most.
