As the title says, what are some memorable music videos that you liked. Whether they had a story being told through them, or they were quirky fun and weird, or they just cool.

Personally, what pops into my mind is a lot of the music videos to go along with The Slim Shady LP.
Specifically, My Name Is really stuck out just for be amusing and quirky. Though it does follow the song so you could argue it's the song that's nice.

But what I think is the most unique and very stylish is the video for ah-ha's Take On Me. Just the idea in general with the girl being pulled into the comic, and I really like the style.

The video to "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel is still THE greatest of all time. Just shy of 30 years, and absolutely nothing has surpassed it.

But, er, since we're limited to only one embedded video per post, I feel like going for more of dark horse where Peter's concerned, which I personally rate as being just as charming (if not quite as ambitious). Here's the video to "Modern Love".

Myrone - Virtual Island Paradise

This might be the coolest music video I've ever seen.

Has some brief NSFW lyrics midway through.

It would have to be this one (so far):

I love their 1990s singles, but the videos from around that time... egads.
Going by this video (from '06), the band seems to concur.

Best song/music video if fun and quirky are what you're looking for. If it's something a bit more mellow, 'The Eels, Last Stop This Town' springs to mind. In terms of some artists/bands that tend to have cool music videos I'd say The Spinto Band and They Might Be Giants.

For fun videos, it's hard to go wrong with:

I just love the choreography in this one, it's amazing in my opinion!

Honestly just the best music video I have ever seen, no wonder why it plays in the Museum of Modern Art.

Welcome To The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance, is special to me.

But there are several other favorite videos too: To the Lighthouse (Patrick Wolf), Triumph of Heart (Björk), Paparazzi (Lady GaGa) and many others...

It took me awhile to think of what video, 'cause I honestly watch a lot of music videos. But Marina & The Diamond's Oh No! is one video I was fixated on for weeks. It's vibrant, and it sticks out to me with the imagery used. Especially the retro comic effects, which overall makes the song a bit more fun and memorable to me in that sense. So it's quirky, vibrant, and fun overall so that's why it's my favorite.

Some honorable mentions are Jem's It's Amazing because I love how the song shows you various careers one could do with their life. And overall it's just a really encouraging video that compliments the song pretty well.

Nelly Furtado's Say It Right because it's just beautiful. I love the view of the city, the road at night, and the rain in this video. Plus they really focused in on Nelly's eyes which are absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. So the overall appeal for me aside from loving the song is the serene settings used.

Demi Lovato's Really Don't Care I love the message honestly, and for me this is another video that compliments the song well.

Cheryl Cole's Call My Name The choreography is what makes this video memorable for me really. It's fun, and suits the fact the song itself is definitely club kind of track.

And I think this post is long enough so that's all from me.

@Dolce just reminded me that my second favorite video is Nelly Furtado's "Say it Right". (The fact that I forgot it was my second favorite video shows how bad my memory is, but I digress.) I agree that it's a really beautiful video, and the rapid scene changes really works with the song in my opinion, especially the facial close-up scenes since this is such a personal song so those close-ups make me feel like I'm in Nelly's personal/private thoughts.

also those dancers are hot omg

This video is special to me. It was my first Weird Al song, and the first music video I watched. It got better for me when I noticed how much it parodied Michael Jackson's Bad video.

Fun fact: they were even shot on the same set. Weird Al had Jackson's blessing to do so.

This one from Blur is a classic:

This quickly shot up to one of my favorite music videos as of late just because of how beautiful the buildings are omg. I'm in awe.

"She is in my heart" is my favorite music video, it is very lovely and warm.
