No matter the version we watch, I think it's generally agreed that Team Rocket are a highlight of the show. Their antics, their determination, their lines, it's all good. And I think we all have particular favorite quotes from them. A few of my favorite quotes of theirs are:

James: "I haven't seen this many strange letters since the last time I placed a personal ad..."

Jessie: "To protect us from all that chafing and itching!"
James: "It might finally stop all of Jessie's complaining!"

Meowth: "See that?"
Jessie: "Do you think I'm blind?"
James: "That would explain the hair."

Jessie: "Come on! [Cool James] sounds like a hippie's name!"

Just to quote a few.

So, what are some of yours from any language version?

I know the point of this thread is not to discuss JP TR vs US TR, but I can't resist to point out that Japanese Team Rocket are no "generic kid-show villain"... They are way more than that, and even if one doesn't understand Japanese, the animation itself reveals that they are far from being "generic".

Either way, I think we can enjoy both Japanese and American Team Rocket. I also enjoy "my" European Portuguese Team Rocket.
I think my favourite TR lines, generically, have to be the ones used during each motto. The original motto is a classic, and the fact that seemingly everyone in the world knows it by heart is something special. And this happens in every language, even here in Portugal if someone says "Para proteger o mundo da devastação!" it is guaranteed that someone will answer "Para unir os povos da nossa nação!". I think this is special.

I don't know either form of Portuguese, but that dub's motto looks like a translation of the English motto (which would be because basically all non-Asian dubs of the show build from the English dub). I just wonder if other dubs also characterize the TRio differently. I heard Maddie Blaustein say in the Pokemon 4ever commentary that the German Meowth was bossy.

Funny that's EXACTLY what they say in the Brazilian Portuguese dub xD I'm not sure if your motto version rymes, but ours don't.
 
Team Rocket consistently have the best one-liners in the series. They have way too many for me to be able to pick my favorites.
 
That Battle Frontier episode where Jessie and James swap with Cassidy and Buzz.

There are many good ones but one of my favourite Team Rocket lines:
Jessie: Don't you feel all warm and fuzzy James
James: Warm and very fuzzy
Meowth: I feel warm too
James: That's nice Meowth...huh?
Meowth: Especially when I think of you
James: Whats wrong with you eyes Meowth there...
Meowth: There filled with love for you Jimmy
James: eeeee!
Meowth: I just want to be near you
James: Please don't come any closer...Ahhhhhh!
 
James: It's times like this that make me want to go straight! (Said in Season 1. Almost twenty years later, he's still not straight. In any sense of the word.)

James: I am a flaming Moltres! (Yes, seriously. This was when James thought he was a Moltres and put on a Moltres costume to go with his delusion. And Jessie's response?)
Jessie: I think that costume came right out of his closet. (I can't even add anything to this.)

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's Biff.

Anyway, the lines that Team Rocket said in the dub of M02 near the end of the film are probably some of their funnies lines. I'm not sure if it was the same in the original, but I at the very least liked the dubbed version.
 
I can't name any specific lines per se, but the one thing that TRio does the best that I get a real kick out of is breaking the fourth wall. They are the most notorious for that gag, and as my favorite gag, it's always worth a laugh. While the frequency of it has diminished over the years, sadly, it still knows how to tickle my funny bone.

I do believe that was nothing more than a coincidence. Inaudible mumbling, played backwards, can be interpreted in a variety of ways.
 
One of my favorites is in XY097 where James asks Jessie if that was her stomach when he hears the giant explosion from Clemont's machine. Lol'd so hard. 4Kids Rocket was still stronger though.
 
Oh my god, every line from Team Rocket's mouth is so hilarious. I can't name many from the top of my head but everything they say in DP is SOOOOOOO funny.

And in "A Staravia is Born" how funny is Meowth?! Probably one of my fave episodes!
