Tough choice, ill go with gen 1/3 coz its the first one. But, the hg/ss one sounds kickass !
 
HGSS had a more upbeat feel compared to GSC which I also preferred to RBY/FRLG.
 
I love the latest Kanto gym themes in Black and White 2 to be honest. It's the same amazing theme, but remastered. It still gives that nostalgic feeling.
 
The GSC - HGSS versions will always be my favorite gym leader battle themes.
 
Do album remixes count? Cuz my favorite version is the one from the FRLG soundtrack called The Gym Leaders' Power.
