Your favourite "Pokemon" fics

This is a quick survey to find out what people's favourite "Pokemon" fics are. Please state what YOU think were the best fic or fics in the following categories:

1, Novel (original characters)

2, Novel (Ash and co/Jessie, James and Meowth)

3, Novel (other canon characters)

4, Short story (original characters)

5, Short story (Ash and co/Jessie, James and Meowth)

6, Short story (other canon characters)

You can name more than one fic in each category, provided it's not your own (this also applies to any fics you may have co-written with one or more other authors). And, if you don't like fics about Ash and co and/or Jessie, James and Meowth, just say "none" in those categories. And I'd better warn you that there's to be ABSOLUTELY no voting for lemons in this.
 
1, Novel (original characters) - Night of the Horriffic Monster-Like Thingy Guy, of course!

2, Novel (Ash and co/Jessie, James and Meowth) - One Heart

3, Novel (other canon characters) - Before I Turn This Tassel

4, Short story (original characters) - none

5, Short story (Ash and co/Jessie, James and Meowth) - The Strongest of All (Charizard counts, right?)

6, Short story (other canon characters) - Can't remember the title, but it was about Mikey's Eevee evolving into an Umbreon.
 
I haven't read a Pokémon novel featuring original characters. My favorite novel is BenRG's 'Avenger' trilogy, followed closely by Erina-chan's 'Disbound' and Spruceton Spook's 'Stars Fell on Pallet Town'. Jaelle & Orla's "Reunions & Resolutions" is one of the funniest on FFN.

My favorite short stories include:

Lost (POV stories) by Ilex the Elder
Slumber Party by Llyxius
Jericho by Latonya Wright
