Meaning, the first Pokemon that you went out, battled with your starter, chucked a ball at, and captured.

Mine were:

GenI: A Rattata. Thin was in my party for all of five minutes before I just stashed it in my PC box and never touched it again.

GenII: A Hoothoot.

GenIII: A Pidgey.

GenIV: A Shinx. I marked the occasion by using a Premier Ball instead of a normal PokeBall. :3
 
Oh gosh I dont really remember.
But I remember my first pokemon blue capture..
PIDGEY.
Strange how I remember that and not any recent ones because I got pokemon blue a long time ago :p
 
I can't really remember.... no wait!!

It was a Zigzagoon in Ruby! I named him Zigger! :3
I still love him... He knows all HM moves except Dig now! His Dig came in handy when capturing the Regis.

In Gen IV it was Starly.

Emerald was Poocheyena
 
My first Pokemon was a Bidoof. I released him soon after, though..

I can't recall my others.

I think it was:

Gen 1: ...?
Gen 2: Hoot-Hoot.
Gen 3: Zigzagoon.
Gen 4: Bidoof.
 
R/B/Y - Caterpie. It took me so long to figure out HOW to catch a Pokémon in the first damn place I was elated xD
G/S/C - Hoothoot. Within a matter of moments I learned to hate it; however, in HG I actually rather like seeing it. So long as I don't have to see it often.
S/R/E - Zigzagoon. Waste of a ball : P
D/P/Pt - Bidoof. Why is it I always hate the Pokémon I catch first (bar Caterpie, of course)?
HG/SS - Err... You know, it might actually have been Ho-Oh? I'm not sure... I do remember, though, that I didn't bother even catching anything until I had most of the badges, so it's probable...
 
I did a rush through Silver recently and I caught nothing until I needed to surf, in which case I used a Krabby.
 
Gen III:poochyena
Gen IV:Kricketot (I actually remember training this thing thinking it would learn something useful later >.>)

Oh, and, they're technically not main series games, but:

Shadows of Almia (Non-compulsory captures):pichu
