I was wondering, does anyone have their own Gym Leader wishlist for Gen VI?

Here are mine:
Female Ground, Water, Electric, Bug, and Fire Gym Leaders
Ground - Brenna
Water - Cobaltette
Electric - Leminina
Bug - Mintina
Fire - Scarletta

Male Grass and Dragon Gym Leaders
Grass - Avogadro
Dragon - Tangrino

A male or female Dark-type Gym Leader depending on version:
Blake (Primary Version, a la Red, Gold, Ruby, FireRed, Diamond, HeartGold, and Black)
or
Ebonette (Secondary Version, a la Blue, Silver, Sapphire, LeafGreen, Pearl, SoulSilver, and White)

EDIT: Added Elite Four
Fighting - Female - Marona
Ghost - Male - Mauven
Psychic - Male - Amethyo
Poision - Female - Rosie
What does anyone think?

I for one want to see the 8th gym be a bug gym. People underestimate them critters. I would also like to see a late game rock gym. I guess my dream line-up would be, Ground, Flying, Normal, Steel, Poison, Fighting, Rock, Bug, with the Elite Four using Grass, Fire, Water, Electric. I think it would be neat to have a very physically oriented game which turns around and smacks you down with a specially oriented Pokemon League.

Do you have any gender preferences for specific Gym Leaders?

I kinda think that Gen VI's region will be connected to Unova, and so that Unova's gym types won't be repeated. (That wouldn't allow Normal, Bug, Electric, Ground, Flying, Ice, or Dragon.) So, leaving Grass, Fire, Water, Fighting, Psychic, Steel, Ghost, Dark, Poison, and Rock, well, I'll speculate on names at the least:

Grass M--Grissom?
Grass F--
Fire M--Fior?
Fire F--
Water M--
Water F--Aqua? (It's cheap, but could be a name.)
Fighting M--Tike (See Psychic M--they're related).
Fighting F--
Psychic M--Ike! or else, Sikes.
Psychic F--
Steel M--
Steel F--Stella/ (it doesn't matter that "Stella" has to do with stars--not that stars don't have anything to do with metals)
Ghost M--Gast.
Ghost F--
Dark M--Derek?
Dark F--
Poison M--Poisson!
Poison F--
Rock M--Rocky? (Another cheap one.) Ignus?
Rock F--

I'd really like to see a Poison type gym leader, and, in my fake region, the last leader uses the Fighting type (then again, this region is loaded with strong Fighting types). Someone below had the good idea of the first gym being Dragon type (even though I'd avoid a Dragon gym, with Region 6 being linked to Unova).

the first three gyms could be interchangable considering your starter.

If you pick the grass type, the first gym will be a Bug Gym. In case you choose the fire type, a Rock specialist will be your first enemy. If you choose the water type, the first gym will be of the Grass gym.

1/2/3: Grass/Rock/Bug

the rest is really up in the air... I would like a few mixed gym leaders, different battle modes or styles, like a Rotation gym. Dark should stay as a mysterious non-gym type.

M = Male
F = Female

Rock - Archeologist (F)
Poison - Business Secretary (F)
Grass - A hippy (M)
Dark - Sneaky rich kid (M)
Ghost - An old man based off of Scrooge from "A Christmas Carol" (M)
Electric - DJ Player (F)
Fire - Chief of an island tribe (M)
Psychic - Bald esper (F)

Bonus: Elite 4

Ice - Eskimo (M)
Flying - Retired Military Pilot (M)
Water - An attractive Swimmer (F)
Steel - Business Secretary's Boss (M)

Maybe first gym could be Normal, then Rock, Fire, Ghost, Psychic, Water, Poison, and Dark. Elite Four can be Grass, Flying, Electric, and Steel, I guess.

I kind of just put random types down to be honest, haha. I really think Dark needs to be a gym next gen, though.

I'll just say how I have them in [DATA EXPUNGED]. They aren't much in stone except for Dragon as first and Bug and Dark as last, with Grass as Elite 4.

1st: Dragon. If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense given they resist all the strong moves the starters can pull off by then. A simpler an unusual take on what BW needed three leaders for. (Of course, a brutal rematch later on would be needed, given dragon gym leaders are supposed to be all awesome and stuff)

2nd: Electric? I think it's a good idea that the Water starter gets it tough this time, and you have to look for Grass pokemon. You don't generally have ground at this point to exploit against it either, while it's likely you got the early route bird, which will get it tough too.

3rd: Ground. Favoritism to Grass you say? Nah. Also given you probably got through a cave by now, you are in an equal level and the previously useless bird now can work.

4th: Fire or Flying. Just to complete the super-effective hijinx. Flying because it would turn the tables of the previous gym. Fire because, well, Fire pokemon are generally hard to fight with the wrong typing and kinda fits the theme better.

5th: Poison. Not much to say on this.

6th: Normal? It'd be pretty unusual for a Normal gym to show up this late.

7th (8th works): Bug. An elite 4 battle doesn't cut it and like Celer said, people understimate them. Ideally, there would be unusual and powerful Bug types and designed to counter the weaknesses.

8th (7th works): Dark, just because it is in desesperate need of a gym. I mean, seriously Game Freak?

As for Elite 4... Grass should be fourth, again working similarly to Bug. Rock would be first, Ice second, and... I don't know what third. Ghost? Psychic? ... Water?

Edit: The actual leaders?
- Dragon: F; Samurai, or at least with samurai traits-- Quiet, Badass, and somewhat sophisticated. Kind of a variation of Elegant Gothic Lolita. Talks about trusting your pokemon and such.
- Electric: M; Pretty much the Super Nerd class. Possibly to mix things up a bit, he could double as the Proffessor himself. Talks about your quest and how you have potential and all that.
- Ground: M; Adventurer Archeologist! Nothing else on that. Usual type specialist talk.
- Fire: M & F; An exaggeration of the Young Couple class. A somewhat annoying pair of lovers. They would have irritatingly long and mostly irrelevant dialogue about how much they love each other.
- Poison: F; At first I though of a factory person or something... but a Mad Scientist would be incredibly awesome. More insane than outright evil, but still a person you don't want to be near of.
- Normal: M; Badass Normal, with an streak of Fake Ultimate Hero and Leeroy Jenkins. A dude that does actual badass stuff, but has a massive ego and makes it much more than what it really is. He'd talk about being honest with everyone and yourself after he is defeated.
- Bug: F; A biologist of sorts, fascinated with insects. Possibly enemies with the Poison Gym Leader.
- Dark: M; A gangster boss. Not quite Giovanni though as they wouldn't be the evil team of the game.

I don't have any particular type wishes. I had talked about in the past having a "field bonus" mechanic, so that the fields we play in aren't just aesthetic except for the one or two moves that actually use it, and each gym having a "field advantage" for their particular type.

Also, have all the battle styles represented: Singe, Double, Triple, and Rotation (and any new styles they come up with)

One thing I was really disappointed with is that when B/W were announced talking how you'd start the journey with Bel and Cheren, I thought it'd be a triple battle against the first gym leaders. That was a Missed Moment of Awesome (or naiveté).
And then they rub salt on it with how they beat them at almost the same time!

A Rotation one would be rather hard to figure an excuse for, though... But yeah, non-standard battle Gym Leaders are definitively needed.

If its a battle mode, then its the league's job to test your skill. That's all the justification a Rotation Battle mode needs.

The only three things I really really want in terms of future gym leaders are a female bug type leader (or even elite four member really, a female bug specialist in general would really make me happy), a male grass type leader, and any dark gym leader.

As a girl whose second favorite type is bug, it's gotten to the point where I am kind of insulted. It's not like bug has gotten a lot of attention in general but there have been three specialists and all have been male. We finally got a female electric type specialist, another type that was inexplicably male dominated, so why not bugs? But then, I am doing a bug monotype run right now so I think it's been bothering me even more.

I love the first part of this but not so much the second. I love that triple and rotation battles were not forced. I'm pretty sure you are always asked before entering one. I loathed double battles but somehow I have adapted pretty well to triples and I think part of that is that no part of the game shoves them down your throat (unlike the double battles, which still are - a girl outside the day care won't even let you walk past her and her sister if you only have one pokemon with you - pain in the butt if someone wants to do a solo run).

I was disappointed they weren't worked into the subway but I'm glad none of the gym leaders used them.

One thing I forgot to ask Junichi Masuda when I met him (probably due to him being swarmed with other fans, so I didn't have a chance): Why no Dark Gym? Also, I hope that the 7th gym ISN'T an Ice-gym - all the Nintendo DS main series games have had an Ice-type Gym Leader as the 7th (Candice, Pryce and Brycen). In fact, if I could be picky with the types, I'd have:
Gym 1: Fighting (M)
Gym 2: Steel (M)
Gym 3: Rock (F)
Gym 4: Poison (M)
Gym 5: Psychic (F)
Gym 6: Ghost (F)
Gym 7: Dark (M)
Gym 8: Mixed (M)

Elite 1: Grass (M)
Elite 2: Fire (F)
Elite 3: Water (F)
Elite 4: Electric (M)
Champion: Flying (F) - Just to show how badass the champion is, she'll be the only one to have a type weak against the previous one.

One thing that disappointed me with Black and White was, despite having all these new battle modes, all the Gyms were single battles. Maybe we could have something like:
Gym 1: Single Battle
Gym 2: Single Battle
Gym 3: Rotation Battle
Gym 4: Rotation Battle
Gym 5: Double Battle
Gym 6: Double Battle
Gym 7: Triple Battle
Gym 8: Triple Battle

Then with the Elite 4:
Member 1: Single Battle
Member 2: Rotation Battle
Member 3: Double Battle
Member 4: Triple Battle
Champion: Single Battle

I love the idea of a male Grass gym leader, a hippy. I would also love to see him take an active role in the plot. Ghestis-Dennis, you just created my dream gym leader. He'd make a fun foil for Blaine.
@thetifftiff, I feel like there should be a late-game male Bug gym leader, simply because I feel like an extraordinarily tough, physically imposing, muscular leader is precisely what Bugs need. I would love to see some female Bug-Catchers though.
Somewhere in the the game we should see Lance with a full team of Pseudo-Legendary pseudo-Dragons (Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamance, Garchomp, Hydreigon, Genvipseudolegendary), whether it be in the Pokemon League or not.

Cilan is crying people way to go! we have a male grass leader but yeah A Dark (Why haven't we had one yet?) and a Poidon type gym we haven't had once since Gen II and it was thesame gym)

Oh come on now, a female can be tough and physically imposing. She doesn't have to be all feminine (like Bugsy, I have seen so many people think he is a girl). I kind of saw Clair in a way that almost fits your description (minus male, obviously) so I don't think it's impossible.

I don't deny that women can be physically imposing; there could be a tough female gym leader. Don't think I'm sexist. What I doubt is that Pokemon would produce such a woman. All the women in the games are, frankly, sexistly portrayed. Even Clair has her feminine physique paraded in the games. I really want Game Freak to produce a young female character who is not a sex symbol. If they could do that, I would love to have a female bug gym leader.

I think they tried that with Maylene. She's young, described as tough and strong and at least wears pants.
