What battle have you had, in-game or vs. a friend, that got your heart pumping or has a scene where you just lucked out?

I was once battleing a friend of mine in a double battle, I had my level 50 Tentacruel and Mamoswine out, she had a Lv. 100 Empoleon and Giratina out. I used hail the previous turn, and she thought I was just wasting my time. But thanks to Snow Cloak and Lax Incense, I managed to dodge her Surf Attack! I still lost, though.

So what about you? What have you experienced?

My battle against Clair in HG i had my gible against her Kingdra I used Draco meteor but her poke still survived and used dragon pulse i think and left me with 1/4 of Hp so i had to use hyper potion until Dragon pulse ran out of powerpoints and Gible and I won! :)

My battle against Red in HG:

Pikachu: Took damage from Volt Tackle; Tyranitar finished with Crunch. The latter got paralyzed due to the former's Static ability.

Blastoise: Kingdra wore it down with Dragon Pulse before Feraligatr finished it with Crunch

Venusaur: Scizor spammed Bullet Punch, was put to sleep by Sleep Powder once, before I used an Awakening on it. It also survived a Frenzy Plant thrown at it.

Charizard: Was meant to cause heavy damage with Dragonite's Aqua Tail, but misclicked on Dragon Rush (it hit, but it left Charizard with more than half its HP). Dragonite was later severely damaged by Dragon Pulse, and finished off by Flare Blitz. Ho-oh came in, and Sacred Fired it after Red used a Full Restore. I spammed Fly for the rest of that battle.

Lapras: Scizor spammed Brick Break; Lapras spammed Brine. Scizor fainted to Brine, and Lapras was taken out by Sandstorm damage.

Snorlax: Used a Full Restore to bring Tyranitar back to full health and status. Tried to lower Snorlax's Defense with Rock Smash a couple times, but didn't work. T-tar also sponged Snorlax's attacks quite well, and finished it off with Stone Edge.

A Free Battle in Pokémon Stadium 2.

It was a 3 Pokémon each battle, we were both down to our last Pokémon.

I send out my Lv. 79 Steelix. The CP sends out a Lv. 82 Caterpie

May not really seem that epic, but when you see a little Caterpie fighting a giant Steelix in 3D, you gotta love it.

Caterpie won.

In Red, I sent out my Gloom to fight a Graveler in Rock tunnel. The Grveler's first move was self destruct. Gloom survived, with 1 hp.

@ Akio-kun: Your signature is mesmerizing... I stared at it for like 5 minutes.

My most epic battle was definitely in Colosseum. I had six a bit overleveled Pokémon in my team and one was actually Entei, but even then one Sunflora managed to defeat us. What a shame! The trainer's Sunflora seemed to be so harmless, so I particulary just let it gain some stats with Double Team and Growth, while I was dealing with trainers other Pokémon and catching shadow one.

Sunflora recovered a little bit health in every turn with Ingrain, my Pokémon's moves missed constantly and it kept spamming Mega Drain with its +6 Sp. Attack boost.

I was battling a friend in RSE once. I can't remember the entire thing, just how it ended. I know I had Kyogre out, but I don't remember which Pokemon he was using. Maybe Groudon.

Anyway, I knew if I could hit him with some water attack just once, I could win. Unfortunately, Groudon was faster, and it looked like I was finished. Kyogre survived with just 1 HP. Then I killed Groudon.

I was so excited because I'd never beaten this guy at anything before.

Also, my current Platinum battle video is from when I just murdered another guy back in high school. It feels great to be an undefeatable badass.

Did a round of battle factory double battles with Youngster_Joey. my salamence and kingdra were done (I had made some bad moves there) and the only pokemon left was his gengar. I can't exactly remember what we were facing (maybe a mismagius) But it was something as fast, if not faster than gengar. Gengar took a hit and had literally one HP left. The other pokemon missed his next turn and we ended up winning.

Had a level 5 cleffa with metranome use lock on & sheer cold :ksmile:
He was taking on a stealth rocker

I will never forget him. Ever. All three legendary dogs in party, Umbreon and Espeon, and a random Quagsire I was using. Could not win. Nascour and that other guy (forgot his name) were easier than him.

Then, many years later in platinum, I was fighting Cynthia with 4 under-leveled pokemon. Literally took an hour and a half. Me now hates Togekiss.

Oh, I just remembered battle against my friend, which actually was really epic one for me. We both got Tyrogue at the same time in G/S, mine evolved into Hitmontop and his into Hitmonlee and we decided to have a battle next day. He managed to train his Hitmonlee to level 50, while my Hitmontop was just at level 38. But I still won using one move, which was Rapid Spin :D. I felt truly a winner then.

Yay, I'm not alone XD! Nowadays I'll always deal with Sunflora first.

I was in the battle tower, and all I had was a Jolteon against Thorton's three Pokémon. After defeating a Gyarados and Staraptor with Thunderbolt, he send out a Swampert. It used Earthquake, and Jolteon survived with 1 HP (Focus Sash). Jolteon then used Hidden Power Grass and defeated the Swampert.

Battle against Lance at the Elite Four in HeartGold.
It was so close- and I almost lost.

My battle against Red. My team was in their mid-to-upper 50s, except I think my Feraligatr was at least 60. Anyway, it went something like this:

I started with Ironside, my Level 54 Steelix. I used Sandstorm to get rid of the hailstorm, and wore Pikachu down. I finished him off with my 5th Stone Edge (thankfully none of them missed). Steelix fell to Blastoise, who got a T-bolt to the face from my Scarfed Ampharos, affectionately named "Tesla." I switched to Wizzerd, my Alakazam, to deal with Venusaur. He survived, unfortunately, and put Wizzerd to sleep. Then he used Frenzy Plant. I don't remember much from that point to the near-end, except that half my team was wiped out when I was up against Lapras (which, for me, was the last one). After whoever I had been using against him went down, I swapped to Tesla and paralyzed him with T-wave (maybe I should've just gone with T-bolt spam instead). As Tesla deftly avoided his Blizzard attacks, I revived my entire team AND healed them back to full health with several turns to spare! Eventually, Tesla fell to Psychic. I sent out Feraligatr, weakened it with Crunch a few times, and then went in for the kill. After a loud, hot-blooded roar, Gatorade's fang sparkled briefly. He leaped into the air and, with the moon at his back, came screaming down and nailed Lapras in the face with Superpower. Game, set, and match.

...Okay, so maybe the ending wasn't quite like that, but you get the point. My Red Gyarados contributed against Snorlax, if only because of Intimidate (I haven't raised him. At all.)

I had my level 58 gyarados out against my friends level 83 Blaziken. I knew I could live whatever attack this thing threw at me, so I use DD. His brick break does slightly less than a third. I then knew that I had the match won. I DD twice more, then waterfall. OHKO. He then sends out his level 100 Blaziken, yes another one, I then proceed to waterfall that one. It barely doen't KO it, but I get the flinch hax. He then shuts of his game and says "You know Bernard, you can be a real asshole sometimes."

I was up a random Koffing trainer. Then all of a sudden he got me at 1 HP and I was poisoned. If I didn't get a critical hit with my extremly weak Quilava, I would have lost easy.

The first time I ever fought Lance in Crystal. The music is just perfect for getting your blood pumping too.
