Your oldest Pokémon

I still have some mons from my original playthrough of Pokemon Sapphire, back when it was new. That Kyogre and Rayquaza haven't seen the world outside of Home for many years though.

The oldest Pokemon that was actually caught by me is Biscotti, my Typhlosion from HeartGold version from when I started getting back into the games. (Sadly I had given away my cartridges from Gens 1-3; it's complicated).

Some other old Pokemon I have been able to acquire, though, are from the original Hoenn games which is pretty neat. I somehow acquired an event Charizard from the 10th anniversary promotion (hope it's legit), along with a Slaking and Ludicolo with old Hoenn credentials as well.

The oldest Pokémon I have.

That would be DogRock124 the Dusk Lycanroc from my first run of Ultra Moon. I remember redeeming the Own Tempo Rockruff event that was out during the first few months USUM released and I used that doggo on my team. When I got a brief Pokémon Home membership, I transferred it to my Scarlet save file, where it no resides to this day, Cherish Ball and Alola Champion ribbon and all.

I think it'd be my first Y party? I no longer have access to my very first Pokémon. King Pip and the rest of my Platinum party (as well as my Black 2 party!) disappeared into the ether at some point during 2020-ish. My cart corrupted before I could back anything up. So obviously the only reasonable thing to do is give my sona an Empoleon who was dead to rights but lived anyways right?

If I had to guess, its probably this Dodrio that I caught in Emerald 21 years ago. There might be some older ones, but I definitely reminder this guy lol.

I don't know why December 8th, 2000 is the default date there, uhhh maybe if I had to guess: it's probably when they started development for Ruby and Sapphire. I caught this guy in the Summer of 2005 lol.

My Lv. 100 Blaziken from Sapphire version, which was the first Pokemon I received in Gen 3 and therefore my oldest Pokemon still in my possession. I transferred it to Scarlet all the way from Gen 3 after cloning it in Emerald, so it's got a lot of sentimental value.

Mine is the Samurott I got as a starter Oshawott in Black 2 in 2014.

My oldest Pokémon that I still have with me... Geez... I believe that's gotta be Infernape! Unfortunately the clock battery died inside my Crystal cartridge and I gave my Game Boy Colour to my cousin. Too bad she wasn't a keen pokémon fan either. No matter... Cyndaquil still lies deep inside within my heart!

Infernape was last seen in the Fire-Type Tournament in Pokémon Black 2 in the Driftveil City, aiming for the title of World's Best Fire-Type specialist, dealing with the likes of Blaine's Arcanine, Flannery's Torkoal and Chili's Simisear! Was it... 3 years ago?

Perhaps I can recall his moveset... Swords Dance, Stone Edge, Close Combat and Heat Wave. Oh! And it has a Focus Sash held!

My very first real impression with Pokémon was with Stadium with my brother's Nintendo 64, but since those are rental Pokémon, I believe they do not count...

mine would be my starter swampert from pokemon sapphire. it was quite emotional to mega evolve her in alpha sapphire after transferring her up every game :bulbaCute:

ive still got a few of the other party members from that same sapphire playthrough in my pokemon home (skarmory, kyogre, rayquaza) and a couple of other random pokemon I caught during that playthrough too

My oldest Pokemon? That's hard to say... I transferred a lot of Pokemon from Fire Red, Leaf Green, Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby up into the later generations and they're still living in Pokemon Home to this day. If my Silver and Crystal physical cartridges hadn't died, I'd still have 'mons from Gen II as well... but Milady the starter Charmander who evolved into Charizard from Fire Red is definitely one of them.

My Pokemon Y team in Pokemon Home. The oldest Pokemon that aren't there is the Pokemon from my Pokemon Black save.

Anything from the earlier games are more recent.

Possibly Blastoise and otherwise Infernape. I was too stupid to figure out how to solve the Pokémon Mansion puzzle in LeafGreen so I just reset every time I reached that point. I'm pretty sure Blastoise was the first Starter I used to beat the game with and thus survived, but I might've gotten Infernape by that time in 2007. Although I didn't beat Diamond until much later either lol. Before any of that I owned a bootleg copy of Ruby that wouldn't save my progress meaning there's a giant graveyard of all my oldest Starters that helped me through the early game until I had to turn off my GBA and let them go forever...

I would normally default to one of my mon from my first playthrough of Black, but I did get a couple mon like a Starly and I think Buizel transfered from an aquaintence's copy of Platinum to my Black (he offfered it on a whim ahaha). I need to check the dates on them the next time I subscribe back to Home, but I would not be surprised if they're the earliest just given the age of Platinum itself lol.

unfortunately the date obtained is not retained when you transfer to gen 5; rather it will show the date it was transferred as the date obtained. there's probably no way to know when those platinum mons were truly obtained.
