Tell me your original teams from years ago :D

I did play sapphire once but I mostly played emerald, the first time around I did pick torchich but reset the game after I got to slateport, then I beat it with swampert and picked treecko a hundred times after, I don't remeber my first team but my usual team I'd always pick was

sceptile
swellow
peppliper
raichu
and most of the team two filler pokemon (or one) I would use as sacrifices in the elite four

I remember wanting to use trapinch but never caught it ( until black 2)

Its been so long since I played sapphire I dont remember my entire team but I do know I had

Blaziken
Swellow
Hariyama
Gardevoir

No Idea what the last two pokemon were but at some point I did switch in a Flygon and ?maybe? a Crawdaunt.

In Ruby, my team was..

Sceptile
Breloom
Mightyena (first shiny I ever caught /cries)
Salamence
Walrein
Ninetales

I migrated my team through Diamond, into BW2, and finally into my Y version. It was a very nostalgic feeling. cx

To be honest, when I was a kid, I restarted Sapphire so many times that I don't know what my actual first team was - all I remember was that it had an overleveled Swampert.

I also had a habit of creating a team using the first 5 mons I caught, so it might've been something like this:

Swampert
Linoone
Mightyena
Beautifly/Dustox
Swellow/Pelipper
Breloom/Slaking

...Yeah. No wonder I kept restarting.

I had actually abandoned my first run of Emerald for newer games, but I just picked it back up and took on the Elite Four last week. Yay for nostalgia!

Sceptile
Gardevoir
Aggron
Azumarill
Hariyama
Manectric

It occurs to me that the only pokemon on this list who wasn't seriously buffed in Gen 6 (either through a mega or a new typing) was Hariyama, and even then, he got Knock Off. I just thought that was weird.

I can hardly remember. The only three Pokemon I really remember are my Swampert (I named it Hefish, pronounced "heff-ish" don't ask why), my Swellow (cool contest champ!) and my Kyogre (swept the E4 solo, won all beauty contests, transferred to Pearl and was traded to a guy I met for a Manaphy).

In Emerald, my team had a particularly memorable member: my purple Sharpedo. I'd fished him up by chance in the ocean east of Pacifilog Town and was my very first shiny encounter and capture.

Eh... Not to sure. I think my very first run of Ruby I just soloed the entire thing with my Swampert. I do remember having a very cherished Alakazam, though. I think a Swellow was involved also, but my memory is too fuzzy. ^^

For Emerald, I think the save file I have now is what I first used. The party members are Blaziken, Gardevoir, Aggron, and a Vibrava and Azumarill who didn't make the cut but were with us for the ride.

My first playthrough of Ruby had Blaziken, Nuzleaf, and Linoone. I can't remember the other three. I wanted to evolve Nuzleaf into Shiftry, but I wanted it to learn a Grass attack by leveling up first. Then I found out it couldn't, so I taught it Bullet Seed. I never evolved it.

My second playthrough had what I consider my main team, as it's the one I had the longest for Gen 3. I had Blaziken, Breloom, Pelipper, Minun, Flygon, and Gardevoir.

Let's see...
My first Sapphire playthrough took place when I was 10, so I gotta dig into my memory quite far

Swampert
Delcatty
Exploud
Pelipper
Swellow
Cradily

Yeah that's it :D

My latest Emerald playthrough finished a few days ago, the team I used was:

Swampert (yesh i liek mudkipz)
Swellow
Breloom
Seviper
Volbeat
Bellossom

Oh boy don't even get me started... My Emerald team is killer, I still have it today and it's literally been through everything with me. I rotate Pokemon much like they do in the anime so I have more than 6, but here they are.

-Swampert
-Swellow
-Shedinja
-Metagross
-Salamence
-Raichu
-Typhlosion
-Glalie
-Crobat
-Wobbuffet

This team has literally been everywhere. I made this team in Emerald, conquered the Hoenn League and the Battle Frontier, receiving all seven gold symbols, we then traveled to Sinnoh with Diamond where we added others onto our team but defeated the Sinnoh League and Palmer, the Battle Tower Tycoon, then moved on to Johto and Kanto with SoulSilver, conquering the Indigo League and defeating Red on Mt. Silver, but also getting all five gold prints in the Sinjoh Battle Frontier, rematching Palmer as well. Then with White 2 and Y we also did everything we could do in Unova and Kalos. To think the team still lives on currently conquering the Battle Maison...

I own every game since Gen III, but can't clearly remember my first teams for Ruby and Sapphire, but I can take a wild guess at my team in Ruby, because I had "Ash Syndrome" that many young kids had where we named our character "ASH" and caught the Pokemon he had. I was about 6 when Ruby and Sapphire came out and when I got Ruby.

-Sceptile
-Swellow
-Pikachu
-Torkoal
-Corphish
-Donphan

kinda wish I had done that, but my original team was never enough for the frontier and I never transfer them forward I just kept resetting, I do have some pokemon from emerald waiting on my x version to return home to hoenn but none of them are my original pokemon, nor have they fought every regions elite four and champion

Of the Gen III games, I actually played Emerald first, where my team was:

Blaziken
Swellow
Azumarill
Magneton
Beautifly
Mightyena

When I did finally play Ruby and Sapphire, the teams were:

(Sapphire)
Blaziken
Mightyena
Ludicolo
Swellow
Breloom
Aggron

(Ruby)
Swampert
Mawile
Swellow
Kadabra
Manetric
Flygon

My first team had a very simple structure by the end of the elite 4:

THE LEADER: Swampert level ~63. He was way overleveled and cleared a good portion of the game. Everyone gets attached to their first starter pokemon, of course!

THE BACKUP: Kyogre level ~55. It was so convenient to have an already high leveled and powerful pokemon provided by the end of the game.

THE GROUPIES (level ~35-40): Linoone, Ludicolo, Dodrio, Pelipper. I picked them up at various points along the way. Some of my favorites, but they never really had to do any of the heavy lifting! After I beat Steven the first time, I embarked on a journey to get these guys up to par, and I believe my team all met up at level 64 (meaning I had to ignore Swampert for a while).

If it isn't obvious, I loved water pokemon. I may or may not recreate this team in AS and level them in a more balanced manner, I haven't decided yet.

Sheesh, you're asking me to remember that far back? Christ. Uh...lemme see....

If memory serves (and it may not,) I think this was the gist of it:

-Sceptile
-Kyogre
-Absol
-Ninetales
-I wanna say...Swellow, but I'm not sure

That's all I remember. I don't think I had a sixth member.

I was very reliant on my Swampert in my first run-through of Ruby when I was 12 in 2003, so I can't remember if I used a full team of six in that file. I do remember having a Swellow as my second in command, while I also had a Beautifly, Swalot and Walrein that were probably used more sparingly. Latios joined the team in the post-game but didn't gain many levels. I actually still have the very same Swampert that I started out with all those years ago now on my current Emerald file, and he's one of only two Pokemon that i've ever bothered raising to Level 100 (the other being my first ever Pokemon, Charizard, on Blue).

The first full party of Pokemon that I remember assembling on Ruby (and still have to this day) consisted of Blaziken, Swellow, Breloom, Manectric, Azumarill and Flygon. On Emerald, my first team of six was Sceptile, Golem, Magcargo, Altaria, Seaking and Raichu.

At this point I honestly don't remember. I know it had a Swampert and I know for my first run-through of the Elite Four, I brought Kyogre with me. Other than that though, I'm drawing a blank. I think I used an Altaria, Gardevoir, and Walrein as well.

In retrospect, it was a terrible team.

I've played roms of R/S, but never finished either :p I've played Emerald, but only got as far as Victory Road where I stopped since it was my sister's copy and I couldn't save the game. It's also the first time I had a team of over 6 were I rotated team members.

Sceptile
Linoone
Mightyena
Swellow
Breloom
Lairon (Never fully evolved before I stopped) :(
Plusle
Minun

Oh gosh you guys are in for a real laugh....

Blazikin- Level 99

And that's pretty much it. Yeah, I did have other Pokemon on my team. Man it's been forever. Let's see- there was my HM slave Wingull, HM slave Elektrike, and that's pretty much all I can remember. Seriously. I was in like 2nd grade. 1st ever Pokemon game. I have no idea how I beat the elite 4 so easily, especially Drake. Guess Blaze the creatively named Blazikin was just that strong.

Sceptile (lv 100)
Pikachu (lv 90)
Whiscash (~lv 60)
Flygon (~lv 60)

Steven kept crushing me, so I sort of gave up on beating the game and just messed around in Hoenn instead. I finally beat him when we were grossly overpowered, and with about 360 hours in the game. The Berry Glitch had started and then fixed itself by the time I beat the game.

I still take these guys with me everywhere. They're in X now and I'm probably going to transfer them to OR at the start of the game just for fun.

I know Sceptile, Swellow, and Pelipper were there. Probably Aggron and a Flygon as well. Can't really remember number 6.
