What pets do you have? Feel free to brag and post pics!

My family adopted our second border collie yesterday. He is very scared of people, even us, because he was kept in a kennel with no socialization for the first part of his life, but we expect him to get better with love.

Our other dog is 11 years old, is obese, and has arthritis. She's also kind of a grump (and has been her whole life). Earlier this week she had a tumor removed, and we're waiting on the biopsy results to see if it was cancerous or if it spread.

The only other animals in the house (besides humans, heh) are the nine fish I have in a tank in my room.

No pics, but I have a cute black cat (with a white face and feet) named...Sega. :p

She's...um, 12...I think.

Aw. All your pets look/sound adorable. <3

I have a male cat named Rizzo (yes, named after the Muppet, Rizzo the Rat). He's about 4 years old now. He was a stray when I got him. Someone had colored pink highlighter on his forehead (that took /forever/ to go away).

I also have a male robo dwarf hamster named Squint. He was a Christmas gift from my brother.

And the dog is actually my mom's dog, but when I lived at home he was the "family" dog. He's a chihuahua/pomeranian and his name is Mugsy. He's abouts 10 now, I think.

No dog of my own, yet, although that's one of my goals for this year, to get a puppy. :D My cat has been lonely since my older cat died last September. As much as I'd love a bigger dog (Bernese Mountain Dogs are gorgeous <3), at the moment I'm leaning towards something smaller. A dachshund, sheltie or papillon, I think.

Speaking of old animals, the people from whom we got our new dog had a dog that is- I shit you not -19 years old.

Wow. I thought my cat was pretty old. She's 15 this year.

We have three pets, 1 cat and 2 German Shepherds.

I have a 3 year old German Shepard named Rockie. He likes to chase his tail and jump for joy. I <3 him.

My family has 4 dogs, 3 cats, and my sister has 2 rabbits.

Warning for dialup people, this are very large photos.

This first picture is of Cookie, who has many nicknames (one of which is the file name):

This series of pictures show Annie (orange collar) and Happy (yellow collar):

I don't have pictures of the rest of the pets, but we have a another black lab mix named "Princess", an orange/white cat named Orange (I couldn't possibly spell the actual name for this cat which is a very weird mutation of the word "orange") and black/yellow/mix cat named Swirly and a black and white cat named Daisy.

My sister's bunnies are Snowball and Cocoa.

My parrot is my little darlin'. Her name's Athena, but we call her Theener for short. She loves to scream at the cats and dog (also shown). We also have a big foofy Maine Coon named Tabitha, but she's not in the picture.

I currently have three cats: Oreo, Sprinkles, and Comet, and one large dog, Fluke (an Alaskan malamute I adopted from the Humane Society last fall). We also have a freshwater aquarium with some tetras and angelfish.

Pics (images are fairly large):

Barb, your dog is gorgeous.

I have a mean old cockateil named Eric and a betta fish named Trogdor. I don't have pictures right now, but I did show pics of Trogdor off in the chat at some point...

I love the German shepards.

Azure, is your cat winking? Or is it missing an eye?

Anyways, here are my assortment of critters.

First is "Styx", hes a maliuronastyx (or something like that) lizard. Hes about ten, hes eating a grasshoper lol

This is "Sassy", she got blown out of her nest durring a tornado and after waiting for quite some time the mom never found her. So I have had her for about a year now, and plan on releasing her next week.

Also, I have many cats lol, my family and I tend to adopt alot of animals if they are in need of help or injured and we end up keeping them half the time so we tend to have alot of animals at any given time.

At the moment, we only have five animals, lol. These are our pets:

Rocket is a quarter wolf, half labrador, and a quarter husky. He doesn't look it much though, lol. His former owners were native american neighbors of ours, and they abused this poor dog. They kept him tethered to a tree on a ten foot chain night and day for the first two years of his life - in all kinds of weather. I can remember him being out there in two different hailstorms too. It was criminal the way they treated him. Anyway, when they moved, they were going to get rid of him, and we said we'd keep him. His original name was Rocky, but we renamed him Rocket because he never seems to get anywhere any other way - except launching, lol. If you feed him something he likes, he usually has a bit of a smelly "rocket boost" along the way if you know what I mean. :p

Zeus and Cleo are half retriever (their mother) and we don't know what the father was. We suspect basset hound, given their diminunative stature, lol. Cleo is a rotund little butterball who just soaks up all the attention, while Zeus is a mass of muscle and sinew, always wriggling and wagging. We figured we should have named him "Squirm" instead, lol. Zeus got an infection in one of his front feet when he was a puppy, and as a result it didn't develop properly. His front feet are turned backwards when he stands up. It makes us sad to see it, because we know it'll cause problems for him later in life. We've had the vet operate on his leg before, but the dang dog wouldn't hold still long enough for it to set, and he bent the pin they put in there to keep the bone straight, lol. Now an operation will cost us over $5,000, and we just can't afford that. :(

Nuisance and Bother live up to their names. Nuisance is the older tom, having been with us for nearly ten years now. He, like all our cats, was an animal shelter cat, and unlike all our others, he's very skittish and nervous around people he doesn't know. If you ever come to my house, you won't see the front end of this one for at least a week, lol. But he's a big baby, and I've (accidentally) conditioned him to meow every time I say his name. ^^; It's both endearing and annoying, because he also meows every time he's hungry, thirsty, bored, wants out, just caught a mouse, made a mess in his litter box, beat up Bother, etc. You name it, and he brags about it.

Bother was a feral kitten we found at the shelter. He looks a lot like he's got some bobcat in him when you see his face from the front, as the black fur tufts sticking off the tips of his ears and the wild look in his eyes will say. He's become quite docile in the years he's lived with us, but he's still a very independent little beastie. He spends most of his time outside, hunting birds and soaking up the sun. Still, he is also a little attention whore, and I often wake up with him on my chest, purring, kneading, and... drooling. Yes, drooling. Whenever Bother gets comfortable, or if pet him and make him happy, he drools on you. -_- It's the most disgusting thing ever. I have to wash my blanket a lot, lol.

Another interesting thing about Bother is that he grew up with one of our other dogs that's no longer with us - a St. Bernard named Sebastian. Sebastian used to pick up Bother by his head, with the poor cat's whole head up inside the dog's great, slimy jowls. He'd pick Bother up and take him to another area of the yard, where he'd set him down and bathe him. Bother, believing that he was just another dog, took his bathings like a man, and trotted along after the dogs whenever they went out to patrol the yard. He only stopped following along when Sebastian accidentally peed on him one day when he got a bit too close. :p But even now, the first thing he does when he comes in the house is go to the first dog he sees and rub all over him or her. :p They tolerate it pretty well, although his fur gets in their noses and they have to sneeze, lol.

Yes, I have a lot to say about my pets. But my pets are pretty funny. :p Hope I didn't scare you away from the thread, lol.

I have a 12-year-old cocker spaniel named Toto. He was named that because when I was younger I was terrified of dogs. For whatever reason, after I saw the Wizard of Oz, I wasn't afraid of them anymore. He has hearing problems, and he's not as active as he used to be, but he's still fun to be around.

I'll try to put a picture up a little later.

I have three cats and three African Dorf Frogs (not sure if I'm saying that right.)

I don't have any pictures.

It's a zoo around my house: We've got:

2 dogs -- Corgi/Chow mix and Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog
3 cats (I hope, see below)
2 African Pygmy hedgehogs
3 turtles (2 sliders, 1 mud turtle)
3 frogs (don't remember the type)
1 bearded dragon

This is no joke. You try buying all the food and supplies!

Anyway, about the cats: We're watching my mother-in-law's dog while she's on vacation and I think he killed my favorite cat. I'm thinking Akita burgers for the 4th! :banghead:

We used to have two African Dwarf Clawed frogs but they had mysterious deaths. Is this what you have, Ash's SOVA Pika Pal?

Here's my zoo again. Sammy snitching some asparagus from my mom, Rory in his kitty bed, and Theener in a tree.

Theener had a little accident last week, so now she's got to wear a cast. But I don't want to take any pictures of that.
