What is your strategy? I played and beat all generation games most all of the games except for a few like emerald pearl and fire red. I red a lot of people sayin that they trained 1 pokemon and got stuck... well, how I do it on all games is I use my starter pokemon and the rest in my party are for hm's only. This is what I do, I get my starter, water(gen l,ll) fire (gen lll, lV) and berore ne battles except the rival fight if I have to I go to the 1st patch of grass and train to lv. 11, then I beat every wild pokemon I run into untill im in my 20's and I beat every trainer I see, or I can find(don't avoid ne at all) and het some items, not a lot, revives, and potions, along with full heals. Wen I get to the pokemon league I get a lot of revives and full restores. And I never black out other then the battle towers. Then I get ultra balls and catch all the pokemon, then exp share to evolve lv up pokemon. I levil up the main ledgendary as a 2ndary pokemon tho but mostly with exp. Share or wen my main pokemon faints I use him before I revive my main guy... it works great for me, no problems

Well at first i just train my pokemon to be x10 the Number of the Gym im at. Yes i do expect my pokemon to be level 80 by Gym 8 because thats how i train. ill also try and EV train in Gold/Silver. and Work on a New stradagy. maybe try and learn how to competetive battle.

btw, what's ev training? I've just about compleated most of the games, im on platinum now and I don't know what that means

It's training a specific stat. Kill gastly to train sp. atk, for example.

I have a team of six always different poke every time i start a new game as it does not really matter in game what your team is as long as they are a higher level and have a good moveset. Until after i have beater the elite 4 by which time i usually ahve them all lv's 60-70, then i usually deposit 2 of them and withdraw 2 to train

have my starter at least at 80 befor the E4

the rest 10 lv lower than my starter

and catch & use pokemon of various types that know healing moves or are extreamly tought in my party

I raise my team somewhat evenly, training them - with one or two exceptions - to hit exceptionally fast and exceptionally hard. I have my entire team at around Level 60 or within five levels either side by the Elite Four, then proceed to beat the crap out of them. Also, with anything I do, Water- and Ground-types are mandatory.

I plan my team of 6 before starting the game, and only train them for battle once I've got them. I train the whole team to Lv15 (though it's usually only 2 Pokemon) for the first gym then +5 levels per Gym.

I plan my team before I start the game, or shortly after starting the game. I level up all my pokemon evenly, and by the time I get to the elite 4 my pokemon are usually around level 60.

-Above all else, Pikachu is in the final team. For GC games, substitutes such as Plusle or Ampharos are acceptable
-Train the whole team of 6 evenly
-Choose who gets to begin the battle based on least experience to next level, also used for training
-Look up gym leader's pokemon, then choose who will battle based on number (if leader has 2, I use 2)
-Pick pokemon based on looks and favortism, struggle with it later

I usually decide on my team as soon I begin, but I rarely go along exactly with it. I'll switch out somewhere along the way. But whatever the case, I make sure that I have super effective attacks against every type. And then, I keep them all within one level of the rest. If there is an unbalance for some reason, I set them weakest to strongest, except for the weakest. I put the weakest in the back with EXP share.

And that's all.

Well...it really varies. My team comes usually together sporadically. Sometimes I plan what I'm going to catch and sometimes I just wing it. I normally try to use at least 3 or 4 Pokemon because if I use less they get overleveled and the game
becomes too easy. I just like to use Pokemon I like and I try to use different Pokemon every game.

I get a full party of six as soon as possible in the game. After I've got them all onto the same level, I play the game until I can replace some of my weaker party members with better ones, again make sure everybody's at the same level, then keep on going.

My Pokémon are always sorted first ascending by level and then ascending by HP. I'll try to get as many different types into my party as possible; in my Pt party I have Water, Grass, Fire, Ice, Electric, Rock, Ground, Ghost, Flying, Steel and Fighting represented. It's also important that the Pokémon can learn moves of different types; my party has at least one damaging move of every type except Normal, Poison, Bug and Dragon.

i pick 4 or 5 befor ethe game and the last couple come togettther later or are legendaries (kyogr, azelf). one is about 10 lvls stronnger than the rest, at about levl 60, the rest are 50ish. The strongest is never a legendary or a starter. For example, my team of pelliper, treeko, macargo and linoone was plannned. walrien and absol wasnt. 1 of my favorite time was when i went thhrough the game knowing id get the regis before the elite 4.

I level one Pokemon, catch the next I want on my team, train to even-ness with first, continue until I have full team. Make sure I'm 10+ levels with the higher trainers around. Such usually takes hours. But I'm Patient.

My strategy is that I have at least two Pokemon that are super effective against the gym leader and my whole team to have one or two Pokemon super effective against the E4. Takes a lot of training but sometimes I don't even bother and just get it on my first attempt

I usually try to keep my pokemon a few levels below the AI. It makes it much more challenging and fun though.
