Hehe. Basicly I thought iot'd be fun to type a brief thing on new issues to see how our opinions conflict or agree with each other. I plan on updating with every new batch of comics, so whee higher post count. XP And beware of spoilers!
Four 28: Oh, Four is actually good again! After the crap that was the last ten or so issues, I was hoping this series would be dropped and it will be. But if the stories are like this, I'm now wishing it wasn't! We get a finish to a plotline that was begun at the end of issue four. We get an Antebellum-thing to the Civil War, with Sue even saying "...against the backdrop of a civil war." And we get some sexual assualt issues, a realistic problem that made Four so good at its beginning. Love this ish and I hope that last two don't fail in comparison. ^^
Generation M 5: Speaking of assualt, let's get over to the issue of GM that has a joke about Hank Pym's personal habits! We see Moonstar, the X-Men finally pop up, Angel is revealed to not have been Decimated (yay!), Ghoul finally shows his face, and we get a complete backstory of Sally. All very good, but it isn't old very well. I liked it, but it wasn't too "Wow... that was awesome!" for me. I like Sally, so I'm waiting for Civil War: Front Line impatiently now.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man 6: Judging by this ish and the previous, this series is having a good start (considering I don't count the god-awful Other as its true start.) The new character/hero I kinda went "meh" at, but I'm interested with what will happen next month. I hate Flash's plot-device amnesia, but it's good to see Peter finally discovers it and Flash retains his cockiness from the early 60's. Good continuity there. But the highlight of this issue! The long-awaited answer to whether Millar's run on MK Spider-Man is canon or not! w00t! Someone finally tells us! Thank God, an explination on why Jonah still hates Spider-Man despite thinking him as his own son. YAYNESS. I got all giddy when I read that, if you can't tell. Aside from Wolverine's prescense, a solid issue.
Ultimate X-Men: Sexxors. Between fifteen-year-olds? Realistic, but I'm not sure if I'm confortable with that. Whatever, onto the important things. Oh God, Sabretooth's still evil in one universe at least (although don't think I'm not delighted with him joining X-Men). And why is good old Dr. Cornelius allowed to breath? Is it too hard to track him down and ka-stab his chest? Oh well, at least he'll likely be making Ultimate X-23 juding by the last panel! I love the Phoenix backstory, I can't wait for the Ultimate Phoenix saga to begin! Although wouldn't it be funny if the "facts" of the Shi'ar religion turn out not to be true and Jean's just going nuts? Hahaha. The thing with Magician and Nick Furt feels out of place like it did in the last two issues, but I'm willing to give shirtless-killer a chance. Speaking of which, just about every male character did get bare-chested. Huh, weird. Anyway, all this arc was is set-up so I guess I'll have to judge it by that. I have nothing really to say, except I'm excited with what's to come!
Ultimate Extinction 3: I would be more excited with this if not for the fact that all the other Ultimate titles take place slightly later than this. Besides, we knew they are all going to beat Gah Lak Tus anyway. This issue itself is kinda "whatever" since the only highlights are some Cap/Falcon interaction and more background on Misty Knight. I wonder what Reed's secret weapon is, the Ultimate Ultimate Nullifier? *BRICK* Oh, and Ultimate Silver Surfer really creeps me out.
