I made this thread to see what ships everyone supports and why. And I'm sure that the rest of you are curious of each other's too.

So basicly, you have to list your favorite ships but there are rules:


- Please list at least 3 to 4 ships, we don't want your posts to be spammy.

-When you are telling why you like or support the ship, please put 2 sentences mininum. Again, we don't want your posts to be spammy.

-Please tell us actual reasons on why you like or support the ship. Saying "I like it because they look cute/good/whatever doesn't cut it. Sure you can put it in, just list other resons too.

-Keep your lists organized. I don't want:
I like PokeShipping *explains*. I also like IchiRuki from Bleach *explains*. Oh yeah, I also like PreciousMetalShipping *explains*.​

Oh, yay! I've been wanting a thread like this for ages.

Well, here's mine (spoiler'd 'cause it's huge)

Aniseshipping (Misty x Lyra) Well, I've liked the idea of this ever since I first started to become a fan of Lyra. Misty and Lyra are two of my favorite characters ever, and I think both of them are so adorable, and I naturally think they look cute together. I like the idea of Lyra going to Kanto after she's done with Johto and bonding with Misty when she gets to her gym. Idk, it seems cute.

Bouldershipping (Ash x Brock) Because it's undeniable. :P No matter how many times Brock leaves the show, he always comes back for more. I'm sure lots of people will say it's out of friendship, but come on. He totally wants Ash and you know Ash wants him back. :P It's not like Brock will ever get a girl anyway. XD

Brocketshipping (Brock x James) It's HILARIOUS. I love the scenes they have together, like in The Ghost of Maiden's Peak, Arriving in Style, and the Ping-Pong episode. Those two seem like they could be best friends if it weren't for James being in Team Rocket. I love their interactions.

Chefshipping (Brock x Harley) To be totally honest, I have no real reason for supporting this. I'll ship Brock with anyone that looks good with him, and anything with Harley = win. Therefore, this ship is also win.

ColdCoffeeshipping (Paul x Barry) You can't deny the hotness. Barry and Paul would look AMAZING together, and all that Paul fanboying Barry's done doesn't exactly hurt, either. I'm seriously waiting for the day they finally meet and Barry can express his love admiration in person. I'm dying to see what Paul's reaction would be. 'Twould be awesome.

Collideshipping (Ash x Barry) Very cute. That's really all I can say about this. Barry's adorable, Ash is adorable, so why not pair them together? Two adorable characters make for an adorable ship, which is exactly why I love Collideshipping so much. I love their interactions and everything. It's just great.

Comashipping (Ash x Paul) It's smexy. The guy who can do no wrong and always does what he can to help people with the coldhearted asshole who couldn't care less about anybody? That's a great dynamic. The rivalry between Ash and Paul is so intense, it's fantastic.

Conjunctionshipping (Saturn x Mars) Out of every TG member, my favorite is Mars with Saturn as a close second. Mars is so cute and Saturn is hot, and they just look great together. I know it's looked down upon by a lot of hardcore Team Galactic fans, but I can't help it. I think it's so cute. And Saturn grabbing onto Mars to stop her from going insane in the Galactic finale = <3

Contestshipping (Drew x May) One of my favorite ships ever, this is absolutely undeniable. There are so many hints it's not even funny, and it's one of the most canon ships there will ever be in Pokemon. Drew and May are absolutely adorable together and their personalities fit each other so well. I love how Drew always pushed May to do her best; I honestly believe that without Drew in her life, May wouldn't be the experienced coordinator she is today. Drew helped her to grow, which is another reason I love this ship. I could go on and on about how much I love Contest, because these are only a few reasons. I will always love it, I cannot be swayed.

Cookieshipping (Harley x May) Just because I love love/hate relationships. XD Which is exactly what Harley and May have. Harley's such a jerk to May, but even so May always bounces back with some sort of comeback, be it a contest win or a sarcastic comment. With Harley being the lovable meanie he is and May being so headstrong, I think their dynamics are perfect.

Danceshipping (Rudy x Misty) Fell in love with this a few months ago after watching Misty Meets Her Match again. You could tell that even with Misty's huge crush on Ash, Rudy had Misty charmed. He gave her flowers, danced with her, everything that a girl like Misty could want. And I do believe that had it not been for Ash, Misty would have definitely stayed with Rudy on Trovita Island. I think to think about what would have happened with her and Rudy if she did.

Egoshipping (Gary x Misty) Since Gary and Misty have hardy ever interacted, this is mainly for the cuteness factor. I love how Gary and Misty look together. Not to mention, their personalities would definitely compliment each other, what with Misty being all fiery and hot-tempered and Gary being arrogant and condescending. Plus it has some great fanart, which always makes a ship even better than it already is.

Gymshipping (Brock x Misty) This is another one I mainly like just because I think Brock and Misty look cute together. I did think their interactions were good, they acted like true best friends, which is not a vibe I got from Brock and May and certainly not from Brock and Dawn. While some people think Misty tugging on Brock's ear got old after a while, I loved her sarcastic comments whenever she did so. It was like she was really looking out for Brock, which I love.

HeatTagshipping (Conway x Dawn) Well, duh. XD It's so cute. Dawn fangirling over Conway when they first met pretty much made my entire day when I watched the episode--imagine, the pretty girl fangirling the slightly stalkerish nerd! <3 And their interactions overall were great. I loved how Conway kept showing up from out of nowhere around Dawn during the Summer School Arc, and I loved the scene where Conway came to their room at night and Dawn threw a pillow at his face. XD Great ship right here.

Ikarishipping (Paul x Dawn) Meh, it's cute. :/ I can't actually seriously support it, since I know it's total crack and has no chance of happening, but Dawn and Paul look so great together in my eyes, that I just can't help but like it. I like the conflicting personalities and everything, though I think what really does it for me is the fanart. Ikari has some great fanart if you just look around.

Imageshipping (Misty x May) Well duh, of course I'm going to ship my two most favorite characters together! <3 I obsess over Misty and May, as well as shipping the two of them together. May was such a Misty fangirl when they first met, it was too adorable. I love how excited May got to meet Misty. I honestly wish these two could have gotten more bonding time together, I would have loved for them to grow really close and become best friends. But I guess that's what fanfiction is for!

Impressionshipping (Misty x Duplica) Idk, I just like it. :3 I always loved Duplica's episode, it's one of my very favorites. I think it might be the scene that they're mocking Team Rocket's motto that won me over, but either way, I just think Misty and Duplica are cute together. There's no specific reason.

Kokoshipping (Butch x James) Purely for the lulz. What a fantastic, fantastic ship. I adore it. We all know James is the one behind the whole Botch/Butch name fiasco, which he totally did just to get on Butch's nerves. Not to mention: anyone remember that scene in Pikachu Revolts, where they're like practically making out on screen? Uh huh. :3

Lesetanneshipping (May x Marina) I love the idea of this! Picturing May and Marina together in my mind, they look so pretty together. <3 I also think it's very possible that they've met, since Marina is from Johto and May is currently traveling in Johto, and they're both coordinators. Hey, it doesn't hurt that Marina is top coordinator and May is pretty much on her way to that status too. :3

Marina x Lyra (I couldn't find a name for this) Well, after I started to like Lyra, I compared her design to Marina's and then shippy thoughts started to enter my mind. Before I knew it, I was a huge fan. Again, they're both from Johto, and even though Marina does contests and Lyra does gyms, it's not totally implausible that the two girls might have run into each other at some point. Who knows? It would be awesome if they did. I'd love that. <3

Masumishipping (Misty x Max) I like this one-sided, from Max's side. Max totally had a crush on Misty, and it was so cute. I love how Max ran to hide behind Misty when May was yelling at him, and I also loved their little bonding moment in the cave at Mt. Moon. I didn't expect the writers to have Misty and Max interact that much, but I'm glad they did.

Minamoshipping (May x Kelly) Just watch the episodes with Kelly in them, it's pretty impossible not to love this after watching the scene where Kelly nearly rapes May on the bench. :3 And my reasoning for many yuri ships I like: One cute girl deserves another, right? But of course, we all know the defining line for Minamoshipping: "They're beautiful, May, both of them." And Kelly ain't talking about those contest ribbons!

Missourishipping (May x Lyra) *still wondering why this is called Missourishipping XP) Well, again, it's another cute ship among two very cute girls. And going back once again to the whole "they're both in Johto" thing. I do think it's very possible they might have met. Probably not, since Lyra didn't mention May at all in the anime, but I like to imagine they did meet eventually. They'd look great together.

Neoshipping (Butch x Cassidy) It's so cuuuute! <3 I fell in love with this ship in January of 2008, and I still adore it. I love how they look together, I just LOOK at them and they seem so perfect together. Plus, the Luvdisc episode. That scene with them in the motto is so priceless and so cute that I completely squealed when I first saw it. :D Yeah, I love this ship and I'm damn proud!

Ostentatiousshipping (Ursula x Dawn) I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks Ursula is the best rival Dawn's had so far in Sinnoh. I love the girl, she's a complete bitch, but she tells it like it is and isn't afraid to show her true colors. Just because Dawn seems to be the complete opposite is one of my reasons for shipping this. Ursula would be the perfect coach in helping Dawn toughen up.

Oystershipping (Misty x Dawn) I can't wait for these two to meet! For now I'm just liking this because I do think they look cute together, but once they actually get to interact, I think I'll like it even more. May totally fangirled Misty when they first met, so I wouldn't be too surprised if Dawn fangirled her as well. A sight I'd love to see!

Palletshipping (Ash x Gary) So hot. I've always loved the tension that Ash and Gary used to share, imo it was more interesting that the Ash/Paul rivalry (although I love that too). Kinda similar to Contestshipping, Gary played a huge role in helping Ash do his best (I would say second to Brock and Misty, Gary was the biggest factor in Ash striving to do his best). They look so amazing together, too!

Pokeshipping (Ash x Misty) My OTP, now and forever. Say what you must, say that Pokeshipping is outdated, one-sided, boring, whatever you want. You'll never change my mind. Ash and Misty, in my eyes, were forever meant to be with each other. It seems that if the show ended after Kanto, Ash and Misty getting together would have been the end result--just look at the first movie trailer thing. Pokeshipping is stuffed with adorable hints and moments, most of which WERE NOT CREATED BY 4KIDS, and their interactions with the bickering and everything were the cutest ever. Ash and Misty are adorable together, from the way they look to the way they behave around each other. It's also got some of the greatest fanfiction and fanart in this fandom. So I don't care how many new girls travel with Ash in the future, Pokeshipping will always be number one in my book. <3

Questshipping (Jimmy x Marina) Because who couldn't love a ship that becomes canon in less than an hour and is just so cute? Marina's crush on Jimmy was too obvious, and vice versa. You could tell so easily that they liked each other, but were just too nervous to come right out and say it. Those are the kinds of ships I love the most. :D Need I bring up Jimmy's "YES!" face when Marina wanted to exchange numbers?

Respectshipping (Ash x Drew) It's quite hot. Yes, little to no interactions between these two, but whenever I see Ash and Drew standing next to each other, I'm all, "Holy crap, that is so hot!" So this is one of those ships I purely like just because I think it's incredibly smexy, but what's wrong with that?

Rocketshipping (Jessie x James) This will always be a favorite of mine. Rocketshipping is a ship that is truly beyond compare. Jessie and James have an amazing bond, rivaling most of the other bonds in Pokemon. They've had the sweetest moments together in the anime, and they fit each other so, so well. Always a favorite. I could never forget it. <3

SapphirePearlshipping (Dawn x May) I didn't like this until May and Dawn finally got to meet. After that, I was hooked. Because not only did I realize just how cute together Dawn and May actually were, but then we got to see Dawn fangirl over May and watch the two become best friends within the span of just one episode. I love these two together.

Shoppingshipping (Brock x May) This is kind of cute, and I like how May would always want Brock to take her shopping whenever they got to the next town. Brock and May's interactions did get dull after a while, but it was nice while it lasted, I suppose. I still think it's cute anyway.

Sinfulshipping (Mars x Jupiter) Two reasons for my liking this ship. 1) It's a great way to get Saturn jealous. :3 And 2) Is it honestly possible not to like two girls like Mars and Jupiter together? Is it? I didn't think so. Sinfulshipping is yuri win. :D

Stockingsshipping (Dawn x Lyra) Because I said so. :P Seriously, Dawn and Lyra are very cute together. Lyra took a liking to Dawn right away, which is so cute. It's cute how she purposely gets Dawn's name wrong, and how she's so curious about Dawn's (non-existent) love life. :3 Overall, a very cute ship.

Sundaeshipping (Harley x Max) YOU KNOW HARLEY WANTS THAT ASS! O_O If you pay close attention to the episodes with Harley in them, you'll see that Harley so totally has the hots for Harley. And Max has them right back for Harley. :P Okay, maybe not, but that doesn't stop me from supporting this! And let's not forget: Harley bought Max ICE CREAM! That would so win me over in a heartbeat!

Tensionshipping (Drew x Harley) Yum. <3 My favorite ship for Harley, no doubt. I absolutely love these two together. It's so crack-ish, yet so possible at the same time. If I were to find out that this very second Drew and Harley are getting it on in Johto, I would cry tears of joy! :3 I think this is my favorite yaoi ship right up there with ColdCoffee.

Tiramisushipping (Barry x Lyra) To be honest, I don't know where this came from, nor do I know why I like it so much. What I do know is that Lyra and Barry are my favorite DP characters, and I think their personalities (their AMAZING personalities <3) would go great together. I can imagine them getting on each others' nerves, but secretly loving every second of it. Aww. <3

Twinleafshipping (Barry x Dawn). This is so cute! <3 I love the whole idea of Barry and Dawn knowing each other since childhood, even though Barry seemingly doesn't remember. They look so cute together, and I think Barry is, besides Conway, the perfect guy for Dawn to go with. It would just work so well!

Yamushipping (Jessie x Cassidy) Because whenever I think of this, I think of HOT LESBIAN SEX. No joke. I can totally see that happening between Jessie and Cassidy if they were actually a couple. And personally, I kinda believe that they were one at one point and a bitter falling out. Just a theory, but it works. And two hot girls together = one amazing ship. Oh yeah.

Well, I suppose the only real semi-canon ship that I support would have to be Luckshippng. I loved the chemistry between the two - the bold, somewhat unlucky Brock and the shrinking violet in Lucy. I mean, her reason for liking him (that he had squinty eyes) might seem superficial, but I think that I can move past that and accept the fact that they would look just cute together. (**** - I don't see how anyone could not like it)

Ok, I lied. I'm not going to lie, I'm a rampant supporter of Pokeshipping, as I believe the hep cats are calling it these days (the kids still say "hep cats", right?). I just can't see anyone else being an OTP with Ash. Unless, of course, it's Ash/Misty/May/Dawn/Lyra. Then, Ash would be a lucky guy. (***** - OTP/Borderline obsession)

Just kidding. I do like teh yuri, though, but to expedite the need for a huge list on why every single chick is hot for every single other chick, I'll just list ships that I adore.

First up, the one everyone's got to know about. It's no secret that I'm a Cynthia fanboy (and who wouldn't be?), but I needed the perfect girl for her. It took me a while, but I settled with another old favorite, the Mistress of Darkness herself, Karen of the Indigo Elite Four of Generations II and IV. I'm a big fan of Boadiceashipping because, unlike what my teachings in Media Awareness of Sex, Love, and Romance in Mass Media (I took a class, you see) warn me to do, I'm just swept away by the opposite dynamics of the two ladies. Cynthia's no slouch, but she can be a bit soft-spoken at times, whereas Karen is bold and knows exactly what to say. I think the relationship would be very wonderful to behold. Also, I wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall of their bedchambers. (***** - OTP/ Borderline obsession)

(For added sexiness, try adding Clair into their bedchambers for Shadowedshipping. :3)

For a time, I liked the idea of Shinjushipping (and the part of me that regulates my libido still does), but that was before settling with Karen to by Cynthia's lover; that left poor Candice out in the cold! (Get it? 'Cause it was a rainy night when they broke up. What, that's a joke to you? Meanie.) Well, at the time I was also kind of starting to like Gardenia (a girl I had not taken much interest because she wasn't an Ice Type trainer or the Champion), and I thought the two would be nice couple; thus my love for Evergreenshipping was born. I always though Gardenia was too flirty for her own good. And Candice is too spunky. How could they not start dating? (***** - OTP/ Borderline obsession)

(Although, if Cheryl wants in on the fun, I would not object to a little Airheadshipping. Or, you could make it a Sinnoh Chick Leaders affair with Fantina for Blackberryshipping. Ah, hell, let's make it a harem. Add Lorelei, Clair, Marley & Caitlin in with Gardenia and Candice for some Angrygothstableshipping.)

Khoury x Lyra - JohtoFestaShipping
I just absolutely adore this. I think their interactions are just adorable, and I literally ROFL’d when Khoury said, “Man, that Lyra always comes out on top.” Yeah, I have a dirty mind. Get over it.
But anyways, JohtoFestaShipping also reminds me of another ship I like, which just so happens to be 99.9% canon (see above).
Conway x Dawn - HeatTagShipping
The reason I switched to this from IkariShipping can best be summed up with Misty’s oft-quoted words, “It’s easier to like someone who likes you back than someone who doesn’t” (or something like that, I don’t remember the exact wording. I use this to explain my other one-sided canon het ships, but only the ones where the guy is in love with the girl. The reason for this is because I, being a girl, can put myself in the female character’s shoes. And Conway is so obviously in love with Dawn that it’s just…hilarious, actually. MY OTP. FOREVER. I have no chance of swaying from this one. I will forever support Ash and Pikachu deeply in love. And when people think Pokeshipping is original, let me tell you this: Not only did Pikashipping come before Pokeshipping to begin with, Pikachu NEVER LEFT. EVER. Sure, Ash might've pushed May out of the way of being tackled,`he might've saved Dawn from falling a few times, but think. Has Ash ever jumped off cliffs, gotten attacked, tackled, cut, bruised, even in some cases severely injured, to save anybody BUT Pikachu? Yeah. Thought so. Ash cares deeply for Pikachu, and vice versa. They are MADE for each other, and even though this ship is less loved, it has the most hints of any ship I've ever seen.

Palletshipping- Yeah, the first ship takes the cake. I really wasn't a "shipper" before this and it got me into yaoi. *****

Contestshipping- It's really the only ship that got close to canon. It's also the only shipping that I really care about hints with. So wave goodbye to the het! ****

PreciousMetalshipping- Yeah, I just think it's cute. And it could only ever not be crack in the manga, so yeah. ****

Clingyshipping- Once again, cute. Also all that crashing had to be awkward! ***

ColdCoffeeshipping- Because Jun is a crazy fanboy. And I love unhealthy ships (just ask my Rockman and Forte muses!). **

Sacredshipping- Once again, cute and unhealthy. And potentially depressing too. *

Yeah, I suck.

And ashfangirl, I really hate Pokéshipping too, but don't go around bashing it. If you don't respect other people's ships then they won't respect yours.
