A thread like this existed years ago so i thought i'd make a revival

Mine:
Wallace and Gromitt is highly overrated mainly looking at Vegeneance Most Fowl the animation is not really my favorite

Finding Dory > Finding Nemo

The 2018 Grinch is the best out of the 3 grinch movies as it introduces more characters

Despicable Me 3 is one of the best Illumination films ever made

The vast majority of movies that people proclaim to be 'hidden/underrated gems' are actually just completely mediocre at best. Not absolute dog shit but also far from being the masterpiece that they act like they are. If a masterpiece film is a 9 or 10 out of 10, most hidden gems are a 6 or 7 out of 10 at best. And that's a low 7, not a high 7.

I actually find Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace quite enjoyable? Maybe it's nostalgia since it was the first Star Wars movie I saw as a kid, but I still have a lot of dumb fun watching it despite it not being a great film overall.

Episode II: Attack of the Clones, on the other hand...

Boo boo tomato, tomato Wallace and Gromitt Curse of the Wererabbit goated. (n) /hj (I still liked that movie tho.)

Here's mine: Osmosis Jones is the worst movie ever made. It's so disgusting I hate it so much. Words cannot describe how uncomfortable this film made me.

I prefer the Goblet of Fire over the Prisoner of Azkaban and this is with the knowledge of knowing that the movie version is different from the book version.

Barbie (2023) is not a good movie. It tried to be too many things at once and ended up feeling disjointed, it was not a "deep movie", and it barely scratched the surface of some of the problems it was trying to tackle. In the end... it was just one giant over glorified commercial masquerading as a movie to sell more dolls, clean up Barbie's image, and make her relevant to a whole new generation.

I agree with this

One has the race & Darth Maul lightsaber duel while the other has Obi-Wan vs Jango Fett & the two Count Dooku lightsaber duels. Pick your poison.

The Goonies is NOT a good movie..
Today’s superhero movies suck compared to the older ones. (Like Spider-Man with Tobey Maguire or Superman with Christopher Reeve)

babylon (2022) was a super messy movie that i can't actually fully confidently say is better than a 6/10 but margot robbie gave the performance of a lifetime. i loved her in barbie but it is not at all her career best. she was fantastic in i, tonya (2017) too
Ngl I think The Lion King should have gotten best picture that year.
i think realistically it should've been shawshank bc the academy loves to go for mass appeal (and they have a vendetta against animation). it is honestly insulting that forrest gump won SIX oscars though

ngl i feel goonies is one of those films where most of its reputation is carried by like...people having watched it as children and nostalgia carries it heavily. i don't even hate it (i saw it on TV in the 2000s when i was a kid) but like watching it as an adult...yeah i can totally see why people who were kids in the 80s back when you were basically like forced to be outside (because what was there really to do inside back then?) would have loved it because it basically was like a wish fulfillment movie for those kinds of kids
