Some of you might be familiar with this thread. Some may have even posted moments in here. On the suggestion of @Joshawott; let's have this sort of thread, but for non-Pokémon games instead.

I'll start this with something I got last night when fighting dozens of Streetpass teams in Fire Emblem Awakening due to going at Japan Expo back in July. I used an Avatar I got from a Streetpass team and paired him up with my own. I went on to try and fight one of the units (female Morgan) of another of the teams that had most units's stats maxed out. Her hit rate was 60 so I thought it was going to be easy to dish out needed damages... Then she activates Lethality. And you know what happened next ? That Avatar simply dodged the attack. Yes, just dodging. No Dual Guard, no Miracle survival. Just plain and simple dodging.

Until that moment, I thought once Lethality activates, it was guaranteed to hit your opponent with it. But since I have never seen any unit dodging a Lethality-powered attack before, I never knew about it. A huge Yes! moment, if you ask me, especially when you kill the enemy right after ! :D

Sorry if this was a long read. Now, it is your turn to express any Yes! moment you had in any non-Pokémon games. :smokin:

Everytime i beat an Unique Monster in Xenoblade Chronicles, specially if i'm underleveled or it defeated my party a bunch of times before i defeated it.

After being stuck in an Ace Attorney game for hours, suddenly being able to proceed after presenting the attorney's badge for some reason :D

On Smash 4 I've been slowly cranking up the difficulty as I take on Classic Mode. I'm glad to see that Master Hand (and Crazy Hand) have new moves, Brawl didn't really give them anything noticeably different from Melee and you can't go having the same boss patterns against seasoned veterans.

But remember how Sakurai posted on Miiverse that at higher difficulties something different for the final boss happens still?

I just ran into that. And beat it on my first try! That's not to say it wasn't challenging (it was rightly epic) ....

It started out as any other final boss match - my Lucario vs. Master+Crazy Hand, Intensity at 6.0. Not long into the battle Crazy Hand explodes early, then Master Hand follows and a cloud of dark energy pours out. It forms into a large quadruped beast-thing with no visible HP meter, I'm rightly afraid of what it's capable of, but I keep fighting as best I can, taking note that at certain intervals of damage it seems to bleed/spray dark energy out. I use that to mentally count my progress...

Then it reforms into a cloud of five large swords. It succeeds in getting one KO on me (Lucario's taken about 200% deamage by now), but with my second stock (of two) I keep fighting, and it dissipates and reforms again, this time into a Lucario-shaped cloud. The ensuing mirror match is pretty frantic, but I do get the lead in overall damage and eventually land a full Aura Sphere on the thing as it's recovering from my last smash. (Insert "super effective" joke here.)

That leaves just the Core, which ... doesn't seem to be capable of anything, but cores have a nasty tendency to regenerate when left alone, so I waste no time racking up damage and then smashing it off the top of the screen.

Plus, I got 100% reveal during the credits minigame.

I recently had one from Smash 3DS that is both a "YES!!!" moment and a "HOLY CRAP!!!" moment: I FINALLY DEFEATED THE MASTER CORE ON INTENSITY 9!!! HELL YEAH!!!

When I beat Time Eater on Sonic Generations was a big "YES!!!" moment for me because I tend to suck at final bosses.Plus,I find him more difficult then Egg Mega Wisp, which I had gotten an S rank on my first try. Also,if I ever get an S rank on one Sweet Mountain level,I will flip out and throw my controller.

When I got all the Celestial Weapon upgrades in Final Fantasy X. Those things were hellish to get, they make you do things like win a race with a negative clear time and dodge 200 lighting bolts in a row without assistance.

When I cleared all challenges in Red Dead Redemption with my last challenge being kill a giant grizzly bear on top of a snowy mountain.

Beating Dante Must Die mode in Devil May Cry 3. Dear god that was hard.

And lastly in Grand Theft Auto 5 killing 4 cops with 1 sniper bullet, shooting down a police helicopter with one blind fired pistol shot, and when I got last week's content update which contained a semi auto sniper, slug shooting shotgun and a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle. Christmas came way early this year ^_^

I remember playing all the way through the original, first on Normal, then Hard, then Dante Must Die. And yes that last run did feel impossible at times. Enemies constantly going into Devil Trigger on you and all. But ultimately was very worth it.

Anyway, on that eShop title, Azure Striker Gunvolt, almost every level has a sequence where you enter a room, alarm goes off and you have to fight off a wave of guards. Going for the "Forbearance" achievement (beat the final level "without using Prevasion" -- the Prevasion Chain is easily the most valuable defensive pendant in the game, and you start with it equipped by default), I made it through the final level's alarm room without getting hit. I subsequently beat the Final Boss without taking much damage either.

I learned that the gate to Hyrule Field is open after you regain your human form in Twilight Princess, and before you enter the forest temple. If I could dodge Midna,I could avoid Skulltulas until Midna's Lament. If there is anyway to skip the Midna trigger, please tell me.I will be forever grateful.

This is an old game, but if anyone has played this game and remembers it, defeating A in digimon digital card battle (PS1) gives you that glorious feeling as your hands tremble.

Having a somewhat difficult battle in a "hacked" situation in 1 sitting without guidance from the Internet on a compulsory part early in the storyline can surely scare players.

Hmmm, there are many

Final battle in Sonic Colors. It took me so many tries, but I finally figured out how to operate in the boss fight. It got more intense as I kept inflicting damage. Then, the battle music changed. I'm pumped, the moment comes where I have all the Wisps, Final Color Blaster. I shake the Wii Remote. It activates, I fire at the boss. The boss explodes. I win. Excitement reaches maximum as I cheer in beating Sonic Colors. There was so much yes in that moment. This was the only time the boss seemed to have exploded from the Final Color Blaster, as my replays never succeeded at that same level again.

Fire Emblem: Awakening
The battle against Priam. So close I was to losing, as it was overwhelming. Then, from the shadows of war, Donnel basically solos most of the enemies, and the entire field is cleared in a few turns, and Priam becomes the target, not surviving the swarm.

Bravely Default
Battle against the second boss before the main boss. So many times I lost that one. Then, I have Agnes charging up her special attack to the max, and deal more than enough damage to defeat the boss after it evaded death twice.

Adventure Quest Worlds: Browser MMO

My quest to get the Blade of Awe. So many time I tried to get the runes, until finally, after a whole month of my summer, I got it.
The quest for the OmniBlade seemed even harder as we had to travel through all 7 of the Artix Entertainment games. That moment of finally getting the last item in the first game they created, Adventure Quest, so much yes.

Super Smash Bros.
After playing a lot with some people, I come back to school to fight my friend, who is a monster with Marth. I use Ike a lot, by the way, and my friend always got the upper hand on me with Marth. This time though, I basically wrecked Marth, it was a close fight, but for the first time I defeated my friend.

Super Smash Flash
My friend accidentally set me to play as Mario, when it was suppose to be him. We both main Ichigo, and we just had an Ichigo v. Ichigo match. Despite never playing Mario, I wrecked him as Ichig, although it was a close match. We were both close to being knocked out, although I had 1 more life remaining, he could have taken that out. I grab a bomb that dropped onto the field , run at my friend, and blow us both up out of the field. I still won.

ah......so many Yes moments.

Well, here's one from Smash U:

I had just finished leveling up my Meta Knight Amiibo (aptly named OP) and I decided to round off its training with a 3 Stock match against me as Meta Knight on an Omega stage to see how much it had improved since the start, when I had a similar MK vs. MK match. Well, unlike its first match, it kinda trashed me. Not losing hope, however, I decided to try again... Only to get trashed again. And again, and again, and again. By that pint, I'd had just about enough - I was determined to beat it. So, with that goal in mind I started the match. It'd take too long for me to describe every little thing in that match, so I'll just say that it came down to one Stock each (at around the same %) after I ended a Special over a cliff. From there it got intense. Both of our damage counts slowly creaping upwards, flying every which way while we're at it. In fact, it was so intense that I forgot exactly how it ended, though I do remember that the final damage counts when I launched it into oblivion were at something like 150%. Needless to say, that was a very good YES!!! moment, even if I didn't describe it well. Oh, and it helped that Meta Knight isn't exactly my best character.

Managing to steal the Mythril Dagger off of the sea lion in Final Fantasy IX on my third or fourth try, and then managing to kill the sea lion!

Finally defeating Master Core for the first time. Took a few failed attempts with a few other characters, until I finally did it with the Duck Hunt duo.

Getting a Quadra Kill using Tristana in League of Legends, heh

Plus, taking down enemy turrets when my team is losing but keeping the enemy team busy, then we win as a result, hah

Defeated Chronodia strongest form in the PSP remake of Final Fantasy 1 on my first try. It was one of my most nerve-wrecking battle ever in Final Fantasy, only Final Fantasy 6 Kaiser Dragon mannaged to do this to me

In Tales if the Abyss there's a boss that'll heal if you're attacking it and I used a full heal on said boss killing it instantly xD

In the binding of issac rebirth I finally completed the head trauma challenge! Hands down the most annoying challenge in the entire game.
