For some it might not have happened yet, for some it might have. The link goes to a doctor who video(from Japan!) and it was the one I was linked to and found this wonderful update. Can't believe they started to fix it cause I thought they would have made it worse. Some how the seemlessness of the site works.
You know what? I decided to be mean, and changed the link to the next twilight trailer. Have fun.

But I'm afraid I don't see the difference.

By the way, mediocre as the books are, this one was the best.
 
Thank God they changed it back to what it was before.

The new looks that was up for a brief moment was a major failure. Removing all boxes and other linear elements made the page look empty and messy, which was not a good thing at all.

Less boxes, the info is under the video, and its a lot more streamlined.
 
yay for another failtube update. But it looks all flashy and fancy so good job i guess.
 
Agreeing on the fail-part, at least for the recent change. It looks nice...but it's entirely impractical.

Auto-play: I need the option to turn it off indefinitely. If it exists, it's hidden pretty deep (or I'm looking too hard). If it doesn't, bull. Auto-play off should be the default function, and then manually put it on should be the choice.

I don't appreciate that when I wanna copy the url of the video in my favorites that, if I'm not directly on the video itself, I get...I url three lines long, and when I am, it's shorter, but still fluffed with garbage functional crap and not just the simple video url


I do like how when you search away from the video page, the search page is split between the video you thought you left and the results of your search. But otherwise, this really sucks.
 
The interface, it seems... more like facebook.
Minus all the random apps and stuff, I like the clean look, but I'll miss having the video info at the top right. I liked that better since all things relevant to the video appeared in front of you. The info at the bottom kinda gets chopped off because I have a widescreen resolution.

I guess I'm a casualty of this redesign.
 
It showed the new fugly interface when I used it at the school Thursday morning, but I still see the old good interface at home (logged in). I hope we can choose which one we'll use, since DO NOT WANT for the new skin.
 
I actually like the new look and interface. Looks cool to me. And for some reason the videos buffer faster now(Idk if it has anything to do with the new layout, I'm a tech n00b).
 
I dont mind it for the most part with the exception of autoplay. If there is an option to turn it off until I say I want it back on then it needs to be more obvious. If there isnt then there should be.

I'm pretty sure there is a way. When I used it, I turned off AutoPlay a couple times, there should be a link under where it shows the next video.

I didn't mind it, until it started causing videos on people's profiles to mess up for me, so I stopped using it.
 
The new skin looks like a n00b created it, so goodbye new skin, hello old skin!
 
Well, they are slowly upgrading/adding new options to it.
A new option is "CAPTION" which is currently available on only few videos. The BIGGEST ADVANTAGE OF THAT OPTION IS we can get SUBTITLES without uploading a subbed video. I mean if a video is in different language and its subtitles are not available then just click on CC button and select captions and .. BAM .. subtitles are available (They are not accurate for now, coz its only a testing version). I tested a lot of videos but subtitles were not exact accurate but worth reading.
Woohooo, yt is finally adding a useful tool :D
Can't wait for the fully working tool :p

Not related to the theme. They were available before in selected videos as well.
 
The new YouTube video pages are great. It's a real step forward for the website. Particularly the axeing of the 'stars' rating system. The like / dislike options work allot better & give one a good sense of how liked a video is by the YouTube community as a whole. On the whole this creates a less cultred and better user experience.
 
I don't like the new changes to Youtube at all. They're kinda awful. I miss the old classic ones. They should have left it the way it was.
