Yu Gi Oh 5D’s: New Domino Academy​

Welcome to my Yu Gi Oh RPG, now before I go to explaining the actual rules and plot of this RP, I’m going to explain where it takes place, for those of you who watch Yu Gi Oh 5D’s you’ll probably or maybe don’t know that New Domino City has its own Duel Academy, now unlike the Duel Academy from GX, this academy is like a normal school and it doesn’t rely on ranks only different color uniforms for girls and boys; for example the girls wear red uniforms while the boys were blue ones.

Also, as one of the many perks of doing this based off on Yu Gi Oh 5D’s is that like the anime, this RP will show both dueling with duel disks and duiling with Duel Runners. You can choose whether you want one or not though.

As far I remember that’s all I have to do, now to explain the actual rules of the RP and the academy as well.

You’re an aspiring duelist from New Domino City, or the Satellite who has been accepted in the Duel Academy, you’re reasons for coming are to either become a pro, a teacher in dueling or just to get better, while you’re in this academy you will make a lot of friends and go through a lot of adventures as the mysteries hidden in the academy reveal themselves.

Rules

Well to start off, the rules of the RP should go first. I don’t have many though.

Of course the rules of the RP section go.

Also as you know double posting is out of limits as well as flaming.

Now to get to more pressing matters, if you’re dueling another character (I’ll just use the same rule Lucky Star used when he did his Yu Gi Oh RP) you’ll have to rely on me or a Co GM. If you’re dueling with another character me and the Co GM will PM you on what cards you draw so that it’s fair, after you draw them the way you use it it’s up to you though, you’ll have to PM on who you want to referee the duel. This rule won’t apply if you’re dueling an NPC though.

The Academy:

The Academy is composed of five buildings.

Main Building: The main building is a large sky scrapper like building in the center of the school, it connects with all the other buildings around the school as well as having a lot of space for dueling outside.

Sports Field:

A field where the students get to play sports outside of dueling, mostly baseball and soccer since the field is mostly grass.

Underclassmen Building:

In this building is where first and second years take their classes, since they’re not the most advanced students they have a separate building while the upperclassmen take their classes in the main one.

Turbo Dueling Stadium:

The academy comes with its own Turbo Duels stadium where students are allowed to Turbo Duel and even get their license to drive Duel Runners outside of the academy grounds.

Uniforms:

Boys 1 and 2 year: The boys in first and second year wear a blue blazer with a pair of brown pants, they normally wear either white or blue shirts under them as a red tie around their necks, they also wear a pair of moccasins that go with the uniform.

Boys 3 year: the boys in their third year still wear the blue blazer difference is they don’t wear the tie and they’re blazers seem to be longer than the underclassmen, they also don’t wear a tie.

Girls 1 and 2 year: The girls in first and second year wear a crimson red blazer with a black blouse; they wear a pair of heels, normally black and a bow tie.

Girls 3 year: the upper classmen females wear a red blazer that goes down to their weights, a black blouse the underclassmen, but they also wear tights and long socks along with their heels.

Now, finally time for the Sign Up.

Clothing: You’re character will need the school uniform but since it’s a normal school it means that you’ll get out of it by the end of the day so you’ll be able to roam around New Domino, meaning you’ll need your own clothes.

Deck: You’ll need to put this in a spoiler, also your deck can either be composed of a certain type of monsters of a MISC desk with different types of cards, you can also have Synchro Monsters if you want.

Name: Chase Receiver
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Appearance: Chase has a messy brown hair that covers most of his forehead and the back of his head, he has a kind of tanned skin, a pair of blue eyes and a yellow mark that looks like a square under his right eye.

Clothing: He has the normal underclassmen uniform, consisting of a blue blazer that he normally wears open, he has a blue shirt under it and a pair of brown pants, unlike the uniform rules Chase normally sneaks in with sneakers getting the teachers to get mad at him.

Casual: Chase wears a blue long sleeve jacket, he has a white shirt under it with a sword like symbol on it, he wears torn off pants and the same pair of sneakers he normally wears around school.

Personality: Chase is very laid back with people; he tends to be a bit of a trouble maker when it comes to doing something school related. He tends to act really light headed but he gets serious when he’s dueling, unfortunately he focus shifts up and down so sometimes he might lose it while dueling thus costing him the duel.

Duel Disk: Chase’s Duel Disk is a blue Duel Disk; it has a special system that can redraw his deck meaning he doesn’t have to bother on doing it himself.

Duel Runner: Chase’s Runner is mostly black and looks like a normal bike, it had a space where he can put his Duel Disk and a card stasher where he can put the cards in his hands, it has a special glass on the front which allows him to see his Speed Counters and check the cards that are stashed in his hand and which can tell him the best strategy on how to use them.

Year: 1

History: Chase used to be a member of the Satellite; he lived in an old building with his father who was a drunk that worked at one of the many rundown stores at the satellite, he also had a second job at the recycling facility, unfortunately, he was a still a drunk prompting Chase to do what he could to become the best duelist on his own, he ended up creating a Duel Runner but was captured by Sector Security and was sent to a juvenile center where he got marked.

After he was bailed he was taken into custody by his mother who lived in New Domino with his new husband and their baby son and where one of the families that lived at the Tops of New Domino, even though Chase liked the fact that he was living a better life he still tends to be on his own and not focus too much on how he lives, and thus is still pursuing his dream to be a great duelist, thanks to this step father’s contacts he managed to get his Duel Runner from the Satellite and finish it.

Accomplishments: Chase doesn’t have a lot of accomplishments besides winning a junior Turbo Dueling Contest a year after he was sent to New Domino.

Deck: Chase relies on both normal and Synchro Monsters kinda like Yusei Fudo’s. His deck consists mostly on Warrior monsters and Spells and Speed spells prompting him to not have a lot of trap cards. He also uses Dragon cards

Gender: Female

Appearence: Physical-
She's really short, about a regular 13 year old's height. She has long straight black hair, and has green eyes. She has bangs that cover her left eye. She wears hoop earrings.

Clothing(Casual)-
She wears a long sleeve black shirt, and a skirt with blue and black patterns on them. She has long socks, and wears blue sneakers. Though, sometimes, she wears different clothing, mainly a black T-shirt, and a short sleeve pink jacket. When she is wearing this, her skirt is pink and black, other than blue and black. She also wears black fingerless gloves, for both uniform, and regular clothing.

Personality: Basically, Izumi is michevious, and overactive. Except in class, that is, She loves to slack off during class, but when it comes to duels, she's fired up and ready to go. In duels, she always strives to get better, using her street smarts to her advantage. She's very sensitive, even though she doesn't seem to show it, and always tries to just laugh it off.

History: Izumi was born in the City, and she a natural at dueling, and was very competitive. Her first, and now main deck, consist of Spellcaster cards, she was always supersticious and very fond of magic tricks, her deck was given to her as a birthday present when she was 7, by her father.
When she attended school, at recess, she would always duel against her follew classmates. One day, she lost to a boy named James, and they became friends ever since.
When she was 9, she became hooked to anime, and actually started making her own cards out of the anime she was watching...
At the age of 13, he left to go to the newly built New Domino Academy. Izumi wanted to go along, but her parents didn't allow her. She stayed in the city, practicing, looking for duels, participating in tournaments, and many more. One day, Izumi crossed by the stadium, and saw a sign that said "Domino City's Official- Create and Duel Tournament". She won the tournament with her created cards, but decided to not make them public.
She then attended the school at 15, only to know that James already graduated and made it in the pro leagues. Izumi strives to one day challenge him in a pro tournament, and beat him.

History:
Ryoma came from the Satellite.. Ryoma wasn't interested in duel at first but is known as talented by his friends.. One day, the government wanted to catch Ryoma and his friends, who was innocent, for stealing the one of the rarest card.. Ryoma is the only one managed to escape from the police.. Leaving the best deck created by his friends to him..

He then went to New Domino City to take revenge against the government..

Gender: M

Appearance of your character:

Clothing: He usually wears a white suit and tortoseshell glasses, but only if he's with his family's entorouge. When he's with his friends or alone, he wears a black tee with a crooked red crosshair over his heart, blue jeans, fingerless gloves, aviators, and running shoes. All his glasses are mirrored because he's blind.

Personality: Acts cold when he's with anyone his parents send with him, but is quite friendly and smart, if not occasionally manipulative.

Duel Disk: It covers his entire left arm, resembling the second Snag Machine (the one from XD) with slots on his forearm for cards. His fingers have sensors that indicate what cards he holds.

Duel Runner: N/A, though his family does have one.

Year: 3

History: Used to be an underground dueler, since his parents wouldn't let him compete usually, and he snuck out. He would duel with a mask on, one that hid his features entirely and was opaque both ways, causing his gimmick to be him winning without sight. His original deck was a Masked deck, and parts of that deck are still used in his newest deck.

Previous Accomplishments: High-ranking underground duelist, genius, and major financer of the Duel Academy, though he won't let the other students know and wants no special treatment because of this.

Not to be a buzzkill, or anything, buuuttt...

(The things in bold are most important)

You can't have more than 3 of the same card....
And Mystical Space Typhoon is a limited card, which means, you can only have 1.

I would highly recommend editing your deck, cause you have too many strong cards.
You need low level monsters to summon higher level ones.

Neos is useless without the Neo Spacians.

Blue eyes white dragon is hard to find in anime-wise standards.

Dark Magician is already taken by me. ;_;

Elemental Hero Flash?
Isn't it just "Hero Flash"?
You need to read its effect, cause without the proper cards, its useless.

Toon World is a terrible card if your deck is not an overall Toon World themed deck.


And, if your deck was actually okay, you don't even have 40 cards.

Gender: Female

Appearance of your character:
1. She has silver curly hair similar to Shirley Temple.
2. She has peach skin with rosy cheeks
3. She is a little chubby but she isn't obese
4. Her eyes are almost pure black when reflected in the moonlight.

Clothing: She wears dark blue sweatpants, black boots and a white T-shirt on most days. On days in which she thinks are special she wears a frilly white blouse, silver skirt and gray boots up to the knees.

Personality: She is generally a friendly person to be around. She can lose her temper so watch out. She also gives more than she recieves. She enjoys gambling at casinos because of her parents. She is also a great reciever of luck which she believes us karma so she helps as much as she can

Duel Disk: She has a regular duel disk with a pink border an hearts sorrounding the inside of the disks.

Duel Runner: She doesn't have one

Year: 1

History: Lune loves to hang around at night. Her family always played the dueling casinos at midnight and usually came back rich, so that gave her the conclusion of night time being lucky. She is not the best duelist in the world though. At the age of nine, she dueled with weak fairy cards. When waiting outside for her parents from the casino she was attacked by dueling hoodlums and lost all of her best cards. A year later she redeemed herself and won a card collecting contest to get better cards then she has before. She also decided to give away her cards to people who couldn't afford a deck(she did keep some).

Previous Accomplishments: She won a card collecting contest at the age of 10 and then won a charity contest by donating the cards she had for money to give away which is the reason she has a small deck.
