GASP! A Yugioh Fanfic? On a Pokemon Message Board?

BLASPHEMY!

I'm sure you guys remember my Duel Tech Fic, right (did I even post it here)? Well, I decided to rewrite it since I've been taking some writing classes this semester! And, imo, it's paid off!

Dern Amon, taking MY cloud idea deck...oh well, I decided to have my cloud duelist use Cloudians and be somewhat of a fan of Amon.

The Jewel Beast are also somewhat simmilar to my AniColor monsters.....but....oh well, whatcha gonna do?

Anyway, enjoy. I really want to make this fic popular (for a Yugioh Fic, that is).

Yeah. Some background info, the school in this is called Duel Tech, it's in the sea above North America, so the duelists are American (mostly).

Like Amon, I will make nods to real characters from the Anime, but a cameo in-person is unlikely. This takes time around Season 3 of GX, so I'm assuming Amon is fairly well-known due to him being a School Champion and all.

Oh...and yes, my main character is still as fruity as ever. XD
But don't worry, this won't progress into hardcore Yaoi or anything...thats being saved for my hot Napoleon x Chronos fic, de aru...0.o

So enjoy, constructive criticism (or blind praise) is appreciated. I hope to make this fic fairly interesting. For those rainy sundays when your bored and just need some mindless card games to read about, lol.

And speaking of which, you may noticed Tait says LOL and TTYL in this chapter. Well, he prounces each letter seperately, so I'm not being lazy and using chat speak. It's a character trait...and something most people should never do in real life unless they wanna get beat up (that and wearing Naruto! headbands).

Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Tech
Chapter 1: The Disappointment's Brother

The wind blew through the air as if a giant fan was rotating in the sky. A young boy with hair as purple as an egg plant was quietly sitting with his shoulder on the railing of a giant boat gliding through the night ocean. Around him were many other kids, all about his age, wearing the same clothes as he was.

A neat and proper looking shirt with a bronze collar, and a small pocket was situated near the left arm. Emblazed on it was a fancy looking “DT" which shone in the moonlight. The buttons and the Khakis they wore all had the same color as the collar, somewhat of a dull bronze. The somewhat effeminate boy was fiddling with his buttons when another boy slowly walked up too him, and there was something interesting about him.

"Whoa!? An afro!" said the purple-haired boy in a squeal as he pointed at the silver afro the other boy had.

"Err... yes...I do indeed have an afro," he said as he slowly pushed his glasses a few millimeters up, "my name is Camille Nimson. Have you heard of me before?"

"Nope, sorry. But I mean, it's totally okay! You seem like a cute guy!"

"What?!" Camille said in a sudden outburst, before covering his mouth with his hands. The other boy simply stared with an unnerving grin. This boy is pretty odd!

"L-O-L! You're simply hilarious! My name is Tait, by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you, Cammy!" Camille was somewhat overtaken by the personality of Tait, and even more taken aback by his newly formed moniker. Cammy? Cammy?

"Well...I guess we should go too the center stage already. The Headmaster is about to make an announcement, or so I've been told.

"Ah! I would of missed it if you hadn't reminded me, let's get going!" Tait said as he smoothed his hair using his hand as a brush, and grabbed Camille by the hand (making him blush) and ran off to the middle of the boat.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There were a lot of kids sitting down at white tables, and talking to each other about cards, dueling, and many other interesting topics. Tait and Camille looked for an empty chair, but they were all occupied.

“Guess we have to stand, huh?” Camille said with a slight grin as Tait nodded with a bigger grin.

“Look, some lady is taking the stand.” Sure enough, Tait was right. A tall lady with long, black hair stood on top of a wooden podium that was situated in front of the tables. She was wearing a shiny red dress, and it certainly drew the attention of everyone, especially the boys.

“I wonder who that is?” asked Tait as Camille suddenly faked a cough, and took his eyes away from the women.

“Err…she is…that is to say…ahem,” he said as he regained his composure, “she is Ms. January if I’m remembering it right. She also happens to be the Headmaster, or Headmistress I guess you might want to say.”

“Well, whoever she is, she sure is pretty!” he remarked, with more of a tint of admiration then of teenage hormones.

“Oh yeah! You got that right!” laughed Camille as he went back to staring at her.

“Attention students! Attention please!” she said in a very aggressive, yet inviting voice over the speaker, “my name is Ms. Elizabeth January, and I shall be your Headmistress! Now, as you know, you all have done good enough, some better then others…”

A boy snickered loudly at these words. Ms. January stared for a second, and then went back to speaking, “well, okay…anyway, you all have earned your right to go to this school and become some of the best duelists the world will know. I am excited and very pleased to watch you grow these three years at Duel Tech, and hope one day you will all graduate with flying colors. And to start off this year right, we will now choose two students at random to have a duel!”

Everyone cheered loudly at this and most of them looked anxious to be chosen. The boy who snickered earlier, a quite rude looking boy with jet black hair that obscured his left eye and was spiked straight down in the back, began to brag to some mean looking kids next to him.

“Oh yeah, I hope they choose me, Jet Leon! I can’t wait to show these inferiors who don’t know me (and that is quite unlikely) how good of a duelist I really am. Of course, I don’t mind a challenge either. Will certainly look better then beating some pathetic loser!” he said with a snide, and quite obnoxious voice.

Most of the kids slowly began to inch away, but some thug looking kids stuck around and just nodded their heads in agreement.

“Our first duelist shall be…” Ms. January said as a man in a black suit handed her a slip of paper, “Camille Nimson!”

“Me?” Camille said in astonishment as he pointed at himself. Tait begun to clap, as everyone else followed.

“Good luck Cammy!” Tait said as Camille heroically took the stage, where a man was holding a silver duel disk, and took his deck from his pocket and placed it inside.

“So, why don’t you tell us about yourself!” asked Mrs. January as Camille turned the color of a tomato.

“Heh heh heh…I am duelist good…err,” he said as he regained his composure yet again, “I am Camille Nimson, and I appeared in the October 2006 issue of Young Duelist Magazine! One of my favorite duelists is Amon Garam, and that is because I use a Cloud deck like he does.”

“Amon Garam?” Tait asked outloud as a skinny girl with short, blonde hair and bright blue eyes approached him.

“Amon Garam is a well-known duelist, and the champion of East School Academy. He uses a Cloudian deck, so we can look forward to Camille here playing some as well,” she stated almost instantly.

“Wow, you seem to know a lot. My name’s Tait and you are?” Tait asked as he put his hand out.

“Leighanna Telachus, but you can just call me Leina.” She smiled as she shook his hand, and the two turned their attention back to the stage.

“Young Duelist Magazine? That’s so pathetic, I feel like beating this guy just for admitting to being in such a low class magazine! I bet I could beat that Amon guy as well come to think of it,” Jet said quietly to himself.

“Tait Rainsend! Tait Rainsend!” said Ms. January next, as many gasps were heard among the crowd as Tait stepped up on stage with excitement and grabbed the duel disk from the man and put his deck into it.

“Hey everybody, how you guys doing? My name’s Tait and it’s so totally cool to be dueling in front of you! I hope you find my dueling very pretty and neat! My rainbow deck will knock your socks off!”

Camille fiddled with his glasses as he began to think. Rainsend? Is he Tyson Rainsend’s brother? I feel sorry for him having to be related to such a infamous duelist…but I wonder if dueling skills are hereditary?

“This is gonna be fun Cammy; I really was looking forward to dueling you soon…but not this soon! Good luck, B-F-F!”

“Even if I am your B-F-F, don’t expect me to go easy on you Tait!” Camille said as he felt somewhat uncomfortable at the term of endearment.

“No problem, I don’t want you to go easy on me!”

“Then let’s duel!” yelled Ms. January as everyone cheered.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leina looked quietly at Tait, and with some concern. Poor kid. If he doesn’t win this, he may be labeled as being just like his brother. Although, I am quite interested in this rainbow deck of his, it sounds a lot different then the darkness deck his brother uses.

Meanwhile, Jet was biting on his nail as he looked at Tait with disgust. This brother, if he even is a boy, seems to be even more trash then his brother was. He shouldn’t have even been allowed on this boat because he’s related to Tyson Rainsend. That name is so disgusting to say even!

“Allow me to start,” said Camille with a grin (in the direction of Ms. January) as he drew six cards from his deck, and he placed on card down on his duel disk. A holographic image of the card appeared in front of him. The advantage of going first is I have first dibs on Trap cards, so I won’t have too worry about any attacks on his turn.

“My turn’s over now Tait!” he said as he put his hand to his side and nodded. Both players lifepoints were set at four-thousand, and the first to lose all of them lost.

“No monsters, huh? Well…I guess that is a Trap card then!” Tait said proudly as he drew a card.

“What an idiot, anyone could figure that out,” Jet muttered as he had a disgusted look on his face.

“I’m not the type to rush in, so I’ll just play a monster face down!” said the boy with a eager grin as a card appeared on his side of the field.

“I’ll match your move and do the same!” Camille said when the turn came to him.

Leina looked at the field. It seems neither wants to jump in fast. I’m guessing both of those defense monsters probably have an effect…

“Alright, time for some action already! I’ll summon my lovely AniColor, Violet Peacock!” Tait said placing a card on his disk, as a tall violet bird with rainbow wings emerged on his side of the field with thirteen-thousand attack points. It had a sly look on its face, and it had some odd eye-like feathers on its head. It squawked and the six feathers on its tail lit up in sequence. The rightmost one had one dot on it, and each feather had another dot added.

“Its tail looks like some kind of dice?” asked Camille as Tait giggled like a little girl. Camille was taken aback once again.

“You got it, Cammy! And it looks like it landed on,” the tail stopped glowing on the one dotted tail, “the two feather! That means I can say “T-T-Y-L” to one of your cards, and I’m not liking that trap card!” Tait declared as the bird shot out a rainbow beam from one of the feathers on its head, destroying the card.

“Nice, you got rid of my Negate Attack!” Camille said with a grin as Tait jumped with joy.

“Ohh! You’re such a nice boy!” he said as Camille, yet again, was taken aback by Tait’s funny quirks. “But,” Tait began to say with a happy glare, “that won’t stop me from attacking your facedown! Peacock Peashooter!” yelled Tait as his Peacock shot out feathers when it flapped his wings, destroying the face down monster. The small cloud moaned as it was ripped to pieces. Suddenly, two more clouds with zero defense took its place.

“My Cloudian Sheep Cloud allows me to replace it with Sheep Cloud tokens when it was destroyed! And this will pay off next turn!” he said as Tait slapped a card down in his spell and trap zone, and ended his turn.

Leina once again studied the field. A tribute no doubt and I think I know what is coming.

“I’ll now sacrifice my two tokens for my Cloudian- Nimbusman!” Camille yelled (quite loudly that Ms. January definitely took notice of him he hoped) and a humanoid grey cloud with beady red eyes appeared on his side of the field.

“Only one-thousand attack points? That’s even lamer then that peacock!” Jet yelled as he stood up, looking kind of flustered.

“What’s the matter Mr. Leon?” asked some his flunkies as he took a breath and sat back down.

“Their lame dueling is giving me a heart attack!” he replied angrily as they looked confused.

“Don’t be so blind,” said Leina to herself as she looked at Jet secretly, “that monster has an effect!”

“Kinda…cute I guess, but why so low in attack power?” asked Tait as suddenly the Sheep Tokens appeared above the thing, and began to pour rain. “It’s absorbing it like a sponge!” Tait noticed as Nimbusman grew twice its size, and twice the attack power!

“It gains an extra five-hundred points for each water attribute, such as my tokens, I used as tributes! And…all of your non-water monsters lose the same amount!” Camille said with a friendly laugh as the clouds poured water all over Violet Peacock, who looked a little sick.

“It’s really under the weather now, and the poor things attack is down as well! Only three-hundred left on it!” Tait said nervously as Nimbusman loomed over the weakened bird, and grabbed it in its hand.

“Now attack with Cloud Cover!” Camille yelled as the creature ate the animal in one gulp.

“Oh, I can’t look!” Tait said looking away as his lifepoints dropped down to two thousand and three-hundred.

“Ouch. Game over Tait!” Jet yelled outloud as Leina simply sighed to herself.

“He still has that defense monster, so it’s still okay.” She said to herself. But quite a nice play by Camille, I definitely remember reading about a similar move done by Amon. I wonder if he is as good as Amon even. If so…I fear for Tait. The boy doesn’t seem that great, but I shouldn’t count my chickens…or peacocks in this case.

“Nice move Cammy! Cute, nice, and a great duelist!” Tait said, much to Camille’s embarrassment, “but I got some nice moves as well. I’m not all looks and no brain, kay?”

Tait: Cammy! I like to sing!

Camille: Just don't sing anymore!

Next Chapter. Sorry for the double post, but I didn't want to overcrowd that other post. I believe double posting a new chapter isn't breaking the rules, is it?

Well, time to the conclusion of the first duel of my story. I put some small hints into this of the plot as well...ohohoho.

Chapter 2: After The Storm
“So, I’d like to see some of these so called moves then Tait,” taunted Camille as he adjusted his glasses with his index finger.

“If you ask, then I’ll show you! I play my face down trap, Fairness!” Tait said as he outreached his arm and the holographic image of the card lifted up. Depicted on the pink card were two baseball players shaking hands.

“Fairness?” asked Camille as he suddenly noticed his Nimbusman turn to face him.

“You know, all is fair in love and dueling! This card allows you to take the damage you just gave me!”

“What?” gasped Camille as the fluffy monster blew a big breath of air right at him, dropping his lifepoints to the same amount that Tait had.

Leina smiled at this turn of events. That is quite a rare and nice trap to have. Certainly got the game even again!

“Whoa! Did you see that, Ajax?” asked a short Asian kid sporting somewhat of an Alfalfa hair-cut. The taller, relaxed looking kid beside him (this one sporting a haircut that looked like a hedgehog) simply nodded as he stared intensely at the field.

“Yup,” he answered quietly.

“You’re in the eye of the storm, so you better think of something quick!” said Camille as he ended his turn. Tait looked at the field for a moment, before he grinned.

“I’ll just play a face-down in my S-T zone, and call it a day.”

“I’ll play one defense monster, and then I will get rid of your defense monster!” yelled Camille as Nimbusman floated towards the card on Tait’s field. It flipped over, and a giant blue rhinoceros beetle with a rainbow horn emerged with a roar.

“Its attack is the same as my AniColor Blue Kabuto’s defense, so no damage to me…but as a bonus I can draw two cards when it is flipped face up!” Tait said with an amused smile as he nodded at his monster, and then drew the cards.

“Ah. A powerful defense monster and a draw advantage, not bad Tait!” replied Camille with a smile as Nimbusman floated back to his side of the field. He then ended his turn.

Leina looked relieved, but noticed Jet was squirming in his seat anxiously.

“Tait Rainsend…” he said quietly as he stared at the boy, sick to his stomach. The boy with a brother in the Pro League…

“AniColor, Orange Baboon!” Tait yelled loudly, as Jet quickly jumped back into a very stiff position. A muscular and fierce orange-colored baboon appeared on the field, and beat its chest. Under its eyes were small rainbows, but this certainly didn’t detract from its fierce appearance.

“Hey, look at its butt!” said the Asian boy as he nudged his shoulder against Ajax, who simply looked at him in disbelief. He was referring to the tomato-red butt of the baboon.

“Only nineteen-hundred attack points? I’m guessing you got a spell card then?” asked Camille as Tait gave him a thumbs up, and placed another card on the field. A big cannon appeared and Orange Baboon gleefully aimed it at Nimbusman.

“What is that thing?” asked Camille with a nervous laugh, as Tait put his hands on his hips.

“Rainbow Cannon! It equips and gives my monkey an extra five-hundred attack points! And now, ready…aim…fire!” The cannon made a loud boom as a very sparkly rainbow flew right at Nimbusman, and evaporated it instantly. Camille winced with slight pain as his lifepoints dropped down to nineteen-hundred.

“What a…fruity card…but it certainly was effective!” said Leina who was somewhat tickled by Tait’s personality.

“Guess I showed you, huh?” said Tait as Camille drew a card, and then smirked.

“Guess you did…for now! But you forget I still have a nice little card ripe for sacrificing.”

“Oh…heh, yeah.” giggled Tait, this time much less enthusiastically, as Camille sacrificed the card (a giant pink cloud) and a stream of thin clouds emerged in it’s place.

“Come on out, Contrail Long!” yelled Camille as he pointed in the air, and the clouds formed a dragon-like shape. With two thousand and two-hundred attack points, this thing definitely struck some fear into Tait.

“It looks buff, but it’s not so tough!” rhymed Tait as he pointed at the Rainbow Cannon on the field, “my spell makes my baboon slightly stronger dear.”

“Attack, Dragon Glide!” yelled Camille as the monster started in a streamline movement right at Orange Baboon. The cannon fired…but nothing happened.

“What? It’s not working?” squealed Tait as the dragon wrapped itself around Baboon, and destroyed it and the cannon knocking Tait’s lifepoints down to two thousand.

“All spell and traps are negated during the battle phase,” read Camille off of the card as Tait rubbed the back of his hair and put on a sheepish grin, “and now I’ll destroy your beetle with this!” Camille played a green spell card, and a huge tornado blasted out of it right into the beetle, destroying it instantly.

“My beetle!?” questioned Tait as he looked at the spell card. It had a cow being blown away by a huge tornado.

“Twister Defense Break. Allows me to destroy one defense monster and you lose half of its defense!” Camille answered as he then looked over at Ms. January, who quickly shot him somewhat of a glare. Tait was getting worried as his lifepoints dropped down to only 1000.

“Tait and Camille,” Ms. January stated under her breath as she began to think. Camille seems like a good enough duelist, but Rainsend interests me more. He’s a lot different then his brother…he has the joyful look that I never see Tyson with…anymore that is, at least not since that incident 4 years ago. But those rainbow cards…I remember another Pro Duelist using them once, and caused Tyson his first lost in the Pro League. Is Tait using them as a symbol of how shamed he is of his brother?

“Cammy, before we go on…can I ask you a personal question?” queried Tait as Camille nodded in agreement, before he somewhat got nervous at what exactly Tait wanted to know. “Why do you duel?”

“Oh, oh! Yes, why do I duel you ask? Well, you only have one chance to live and you may as well be known for something in your lifetime,” said the boy as he clenched his fist in the air, “and my wish is to become famous!”

“Wow, that’s a big dream Cammy!”

“Now, why do you duel Tait?”

“I’m not telling you!” laughed Tait as he stuck out his tongue. Camille lightly punched himself in the chest.

“What? I thought if I told you, you would tell me!” he yelled as Tait merely blushed and fanned himself with the cards in his hand.

“Sorry Cammy! I gotta have my secrets!”

“Fine…just get back to the duel!” What is up with this kid?

“Oh yeah, I activate my trap card! It’s called After the Storm!” yelled Tait as the card revealed a ruined city with a rainbow glowing over it.

“Nothing happened,” said Camille quietly as he ended his turn.

“Well, now it does!” Tait pointed to the air, and a huge rainbow drifted down to the field as everyone looked up in amazement.

“So pretty!” yelled a bunch of girls from the audience, as Tait blushed at the praise his card was getting.

“It looks pretty…but is it as good as it looks?” asked Camille as he caught Tait’s attention again.

“Of course silly! And it allows me to bring back all my AniColor monsters you destroyed last turn!” he said as an orange and blue light shot off the rainbow on to the field. Orange Baboon and Blue Kabuto were back!

“So? They can’t defeat my…oh!” Camille said as he came to the realization of Tait’s plan.

“A tribute monster!” yelled Leina, surprising herself at how enticed she was with the duel.

“I’ll sacrifice them for my totally favorite card, AniColor Red Vixen!” yelled Tait as he slapped a card down on the field. His baboon and beetle disappeared in a surge of holographic sparks, and a humanoid fox wearing a black dress and holding a rainbow staff appeared in a glowing red light. Just as she appeared, Violet Peacock and Orange Baboon appeared in a similar fashion.

“The monster you just sacrificed and that bird are back?” Camille sputtered as he wondered what was going on.

“I can special summon two of my AniColor monsters in the graveyard, and now that Peacock is back,” he began to say as the bird’s tail feathers began to light up again.

“Oh no…if he gets a one or two…I’ll lose!”

“And the number today is…five?” said Tait in a disappointed tone as he clutched his chest.

“What happens now,” Camille began to say as suddenly the peacock exploded.

“Heh...it destroys itself!” laughed Tait as Camille was still in shock at the sudden explosion.

“What an entertaining duelist!” Ms. January chuckled.

“Well…my vixen can still attack! So use Red Fox Light!” screamed Tait dramatically as the fox’s staff glowed a bright red color, as Camille covered his eyes. At the same time, his dragon exploded taking his lifepoints down to sixteen-hundred. Camille looked at the field, and then a shocked expression overtook his visage.

“He has a monster left, and I’ve got nothing!”

“Now…my turn’s over!” smiled Tait as Camille looked at him in disbelief.

“You could win!” he said as Tait shook his head.

“Nope! Can’t attack with the monsters I just revived, it’s the effect of my vixen!” he replied as Camille took a deep breath.

“Well...I don’t have much to do but play this little face down,” said Camille earnestly as Tait commenced his battle phase by having his baboon attack it. It jumped it the air and landed square on top of the card, which flipped over and revealed a cute little grey cloud.

“Only three-hundred defense? Take it out Orange!” yelled Tait as the beast punched the cloud as hard as it could. The cloud merely reformed as Orange Baboon jumped back to Tait’s side.

“By discarding one card, such as my Weather Report, from my hand my Cloudian- Stray Stratus is spared!” said Camille calmly as Tait ordered his Red Vixen to attack.

“If I can’t destroy it, I can at least take out your hand!” Tait yelled flustered as his fox held up its staff, and the cloud was destroyed…but reformed quickly and this time there were three of them!

“I discarded my Stratus Sphere spell, and if I do that with my Stray’s effect, I can summon two more of them!”

“Fine…my turn is over,” replied Tait, who seemed was becoming increasingly annoyed by these cloud cards Camille was playing.

“Polymerization, it’s time to fuse all three into my Cloudian- Stratocumulus Skull!” said Camille triumphantly. The three clouds began to swirl around each other, until they grew and grew upon which the cloud was as big as the ship itself. It slowly formed into a skull shape, complete with eyes and a mouth. The monster was in defense mode with two thousand defense points.

“Whoa, kinda spooky! But I’m sorry Cammy, its weaker then my cute fox!”

“Then destroy it if you want! Unless you’re a…sissy?” said Camille ending his turn with a grin as Tait’s face turned as red as his fox. He started breathing heavily, and pointed right at the demonic cloud in the air.

“No one calls me a sissy! I’m gonna totally take down your cloud!” he yelled as Camille was somewhat surprised at this outburst, but also somewhat pleased. Red Fox jumped in the air, and went into the cloud’s mouth. A second later, a red explosion occurred over everyone’s heads as Red Fox landed gracefully back on earth.

“Heh,” he chuckled. I was hoping you would!

“That Tait…can’t he see that Camille was luring him into it. And he took it. Hook, line, and sinker,” remarked Leina on the sidelines.

“Idiot,” whispered Jet under his breath.

“Ooops!” said Tait, suddenly reverting back to normal as he realized his mistake. Small grey clouds fluttered down to the ground, and formed a wall around Tait.

“When my cloud is destroyed, its offspring are summoned to my field! These Nimbus Tokens have two thousand defense points, and cannot be destroyed by battle, spell, or trap cards! And…there is more! They are like time bombs, and at the start of my turn one will explode, taking away five-hundred lifepoints!” laughed Camille as Tait began to count on his fingers.

“Let’s see I have one thousand lifepoints…only two turns left!” he said as he looked very nervous. He looked at his hand, and sighed as he placed one monster in defense mode and ended his turn. One of the clouds burst, sending Tait back a few inches and his lifepoints down five-hundred.

“Well…I guess it is my turn…and I pass!” said Camille cockily as Tait clenched a fist at his side as he held his hand over his deck.

“Draw it,” said a female voice as Tait suddenly looked around. Red Vixen was looking right at him with a smile, and nodded at him.

“You…just talked to me?” Tait asked nervously as the crowd muttered at the odd (odder then usual) actions of the boy.

“Draw the card Tait,” it said once again as Tait smiled and drew the card.
“Hey! The card she gave me before I left for here!” yelled Tait really loudly as everyone stared in wonder.

“Yo…Tait? What are you talking about? Who is ‘she’?” asked Camille as Tait suddenly looked at him, and blushed.

“Nothing! Just how I’m gonna beat you with this card!” he said as he slammed it down, and a huge crystalline palace emerged behind him.

“What is that?” asked Camille as Tait summoned a yellow giraffe from his hand. It had crystal horns, lots of spots, and a flowing rainbow tail.

“Well…that card is my field spell Prism Palace, and this monster is my AniColor Yellow Giraffe!” he said as he then flipped over his face down monster, revealing a humanoid that was made of the same material as the palace.

“A Prisman also? Even with that two-hundred boost to your AniColors from the Palace, you still can’t win!” Camille responded with false certainty as the Yellow Giraffe suddenly burst into a glowing yellow light, and flashed into the palace. The yellow light became extremely bright, and focused right onto Prisman who begun to shine.

“What is that?” asked Leina loudly, as Jet and many of the other students yelled the same.

“This field spell allows me to unlock the super-secret potential of Prisman by reflecting different color lights into him!” Tait said proudly with his hand on his hips as Prisman soon became a yellow-centaur like crystal creature with long, sharp horns.

“A fusion?” asked Camille as the monster jumped in front of him.

“Yup! Meet my lovely Prisman Y-Light, and when he’s summoned to the field you lose eighteen-hundred lifepoints Cammy!” yelled Tait as everyone gasped. Camille slowly backed away as the monster shot forth a stream of light right at him, knocking him down along with the rest of his lifepoints.

“I…lost?!” said Camille as he lay down on his back slightly blinded by such a light show.

“So long, sweetie!” said Tait as he blew him a kiss. All the students (except Jet) stood up and began to cheer and clap as Tait waved to everyone happily.

“What a great duel Tait!” said Ms. January as she approached him. Tait nervously shook her hand in respect as Camille jumped up and ran to her.

“What about me!?” he said as he quickly shook the hand of one of the men wearing suits. The man didn’t know what to say, so he just decided to shake it.

“I guess he hasn’t quite recovered his vision yet?” laughed Tait nervously as Ms. January watched Camille with a grin.

“I think this is a great sign of things to come!” yelled Ms. January as she got back on the microphone and looked at the crowd. Tait took this time to walk off the stage, (and help guide Camille) back into the audience.

“Nice duel you two!” said Leina as she approached them.

“Ah, thank you!” laughed Tait as Camille blinked and realized he could see again.

“And I got to shake Ms. January’s hand! I’m never washing it again! Although, she sure has a nice grip,” he said with a goofy grin as Leina and Tait nervously looked at each other.

“Students, we only have a few minutes left till we arrive! I’d like all of you to gather your belongings and come back here immediately!” said the Headmistress over the mic as an island loomed into sight over the dark horizon of the night. Tait smiled happily as he looked at his deck in his hand.

I guess we become better everyday, huh my friends?

Chapter 3: Ajax and Jennis

Leina, Camille, Tait, and all the other kids were carrying their brown duffle bags as they stepped off the ramp of the boat, and on to a wooden dock. Tait looked ahead of everyone, and could see a humongous white castle rising above the evergreens.

“Attention please! We have now arrived at Duel Tech Island! If you haven’t noticed it yet, that castle over there is the school,” Ms. January said as she pointed to it, “and over on its left is the Gold Dorm. That’s for final year students.”

“Gold Dorm?” asked Tait to Leina.

“You see, the students are divided into three dorms. Bronze Dorm is for new students, like us. The Silver Dorm is where we will go next year. And finally our last year we will reside in the Gold Dorm,” she stated as Tait nodded in understanding.

“Please follow me to the Bronze Dorm, where you will be staying for this year,” instructed Ms. January as everyone marched in an orderly fashion behind her. They followed a path to the right, and passed a huge domed shaped arena.

“Whoa!” yelled Tait as he looked up in amazement.

“That’s the Duel Arena. It’s where they hold exhibition matches and assemblies,” said Leina.

“I can’t wait to duel on that big stage for everyone to see!” said Tait as he put his hands on his face and took a deep breath. They continued to walk until they arrived at a long, bronze building. Farther on they could see the Silver Dorm, and south of the Bronze Dorm were three shops.

“I’ll leave you kids here, I got some important business to take care of,” said Ms. January as she walked off down the path to the school. Camille waved to her, but she didn’t pay him any mind.

“Darn…well, one day she will love me!” he said triumphantly as Tait then stared at him closely.

“Your glasses…don’t have any lens,” he said as Camille chuckled.

“I just wear them to look cool!” he replied as Leina gave him an odd look. Suddenly a fat man wearing a fancy bronze coat stepped out of the door of the building and in front of the kids. He had a curly mustache which gave him a distinguished look, and he was bald except for some spiky black hair around the edge. The most interesting aspect of his character was a small green parrot sat perched upon his shoulder.

“Ah! Hello children, my name is Professor Masson!” he said with a friendly grin as his parrot flapped its wings.

“A parrot!” yelled Tait as the parrot flew over to him and landed on his thick hair.

“A parrot, a parrot!” it said mockingly as Tait giggled. It then flew back to its perch on the man’s shoulder.

“This here is Beak, and he is the pet of the Bronze Dorm…if you will. Now now kids, you’ve had a long day so please enter through this door and proceed to your designated rooms…if you will. Inside, you will find your new Duel Disk, as well as a PDA containing your schedule! Of course, all first years have the same schedule though. Quite. Oh, and boys to the left, girls to the right!”

“See you later Leina!” said Tait as he and Camille proceeded through the doors with the other boys. The main lobby of the building was a beautiful red carpeted floor, with many tables, chairs, and couches.

“Whoa. Nice…so, what room do you have Tait?” asked Camille as the two went down a hallway with the other boys.

“107…what do you have Cammy?” he asked as Camille frowned.

“116…sorry,” he said apologetically as Tait began to tear up.

“My…me and my BFF separated?” he said as tears began streaming down. Camille started to walk faster and called back to Tait.

“I’ll sit with you in class!” he yelled. Oh…my…god. What have I gotten myself into?
“Ok!” yelled Tait rather cheerfully as he wiped his eyes and walked to the door of room 107. He opened it and noticed a boy with hair like a porcupine was sitting on one of the three beds. The room was really nice. A window was situated between the beds that let them see the beautiful forest, and there were three desks, with three computers on them as well. Tait walked over to the corner, and found there was a decent size closet with three compartments.

“So…you’re Tait right?” asked the boy as Tait sat down on the bed adjacent to him.

“Oh, am I famous? Just kidding!” he said with a grin as the Asian boy who was watching the duel earlier walked in and stared.

“Ajax? Is…he our roommate?” asked the boy with a nervous stare as Ajax nodded calmly.

“Hi…I’m Tait! And you are,” he began to say as the boy inspected him top from bottom.

“You are a boy, right?” he asked as Tait pointed to himself.

“If I recall correctly, yes!” he said rather loudly as the other boy frowned.

“I’m Jennis…Jennis Li, and that’s Ajax. And we’re your new roommates,” he said rather flatly as Ajax looked at him oddly.

“Jennis…blood pressure,” he remarked as Jennis turned a bright red.

“Why do we have such a…a…a sissy girly girl in our room!? What kind of joke is this?” he yelled as Tait quickly slapped him across the face.

“What was that?” he said as he stood over the short boy, who simply backed off.

“Sorry,” he said as Tait smiled and walked over to the desk. Well, sorry princess!

“Ah, so is this our PDA?” asked Tait as he picked up a bronze device and clicked it on. A message popped up on the screen.

“Awesome!” said Tait with a grin as he walked over to the closet, and began to unpack his belongings into one of the apartments.

“A purse?” asked Jennis as Tait removed a purple handbag from the bag, and strapped it over his arm.

“Duh silly! Where do you expect me to keep my cards, candy, makeup, and PDA?” he asked as Jennis sighed. What a grade-A weirdo.

“A duel disk,” said Jennis as he noticed one inside the compartment. Tait took the bronze contraption, and put it on his arm.

“It’s time to duel!” he said in a deeper voice as Jennis laughed.

“Hey, nice impression!”

“Thank you Jen!” Tait replied as Jennis yanked his own hair. What the…

“What’s my nickname?” asked Ajax quietly, as he still lay in the same spot.

“A-J of course!” he said with a thumbs up as Ajax nodded.

“Ajax is kinda…laid back, but he’s a nice guy. Been my friend for years,” said Jennis as he began to unpack his stuff as well.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Hello? Roommates?” asked Camille as he entered his room. He noticed a small, pale boy with long and shaggy black hair asleep on one of the beds. Camille sighed as he went to pick up his PDA, when someone else entered.

“It’s you,” said the boy, who turned out to be Jet.

“Oh, hello,” said Camille as Jet stared at him in disgust.

“You lost to that boy earlier. You really are pathetic,” he said as Camille was startled by the rude behavior.

“Excuse me, but Tait is,” he began to say as Jet lay down on his bed and closed his eyes.

“I hate him,” he said venomously as Camille grimaced. What a jerk, and he’s my roommate! At least my other one seems quiet. I wonder how Tait and Leina have it?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Whoa, you’re smart!” said a girl with flowing black hair as she sat on a bed listening Leina recited an entire Shakespeare verse.

“Oh, no it’s nothing!” she said blushing as another girl, with long brown hair, looked at her in amazement. She was about the same size as the other girl, and was slightly tanner.

“I’m glad we have such a smart roommate, eh Krissy?” the black haired girl said with a smile to the other girl.

“Yeah Sadie, I think we got lucky!” she said with a grin.

“Oh, stop! You’re making me blush. Anyway, what do you girls think of Tait?” Leina asked with a grin as she remembered how happy she felt watching him duel.

“Well, he’s kinda…funny, but he seems really sweet,” said Sadie with a small grin.

“It was like, as I watched his AniColor monsters I felt very happy,” responded Krissy, as she then looked kinda disgusted at how lame that sounded.

“I feel sorry for him though…his brother and all,” said Leina frowning, “it must be tough having someone overshadow you, negatively.” They all got in their bed, and decided to go to sleep. All across the island, every light was seen going off as a veil of silence fell.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“LISTEN UP CHILDREN!” yelled a tall and muscular man with short blonde hair as he stood in front of many students. They were all wearing a white T-shirt and bronze shorts. Tait and the rest of the Bronze Dorm had Physical Education in the morning, so everyone was slightly tired as they stood on top of an artificial football field behind the school.

“I’m so sleepy,” moaned Tait as the man stared him down.

“Ahem! My name is Coach Redford and I am your Physical Education instructor! They say a healthy body makes a healthy mind, and that is a must to be a duelist! This year you will run, jump, climb, crawl, and possibly even cry your way to perfection. And, let me make this clear, I do NOT tolerate whiny babies…like you!” he yelled as he pointed directly at Tait who suddenly was alert.

“Me?” he asked politely.

“Ms, come up here for a second!” yelled the coach as Tait looked around for a second, and realized he meant him.

“Um, sir?” asked Tait as he stepped up next to Coach Redford, who simply hushed him.

“Look at this young girl, and how weak she looks! Can you take her as a duelist seriously?” he said as he grabbed Tait’s hand and held it up, “look at this? Painted nails? Lip gloss? Blush? We are not going to a prom Ms,” he stuttered as he looked at Tait expecting his name.

“Oh! Tait…Tait Rainsend!” he said with a giggle as Camille sighed. Lip gloss? Nails painted? Makeup? Tait…you are one odd guy.
“Tait? Well, your name even leaks weakness!” declared Coach Redford, “and by the end of this year your name will be Tough!” he cried with great hope as Tait looked confused.

“I like my name!” he said somewhat angrily as Coach Redford slapped him on the back sending Tait flying on the ground.

“Heh! Sorry little lady!” said the coach as he helped Tait up.

“But I’m a…” Tait began to say as the coach motioned him to go back with the other students.

“What’s this guy’s problem?” asked Jennis who stood beside Tait.

“I don’t know…but he keeps calling me a girl!” said Tait as Ajax made a quiet chuckle.

“Gee, I wonder too,” said Jennis sarcastically.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tait walked into a wide room in the main school for his next class, Duel Applications. He looked around for a moment and noticed it was kinda like a theatre. Arranged going from top to bottom were some benches with desks in a row, and at the very bottom was a teacher’s desk with a high-tech board behind him. Upon the walls were many posters with pictures of Duel Monster cards. He went and sat down at one of the wide desks as Ajax and Jennis sat on both sides of him, and Camille took the seat below him. Leina walked in, with Sadie and Krissy, and decided to sit behind Tait.

“Tait! Camille!” she said with a smile as the two looked up and grinned.

“Who are your friends there?” Camille asked.

“My roommates! This is Krissy Dove and Sadie Lassin,” she said as Camille waved. Tait looked nervously up at Sadie, and she shot him a quick smile. He quickly turned around and blushed.

“Tait…what’s up?” asked Camille quietly as Tait blushed even more. Camille looked shocked. Does he…like her? But…I was so sure he was…like that and had a …crush on…me…

“Yo! I’m Jennis Li and this is Ajax Quillen and we’re Tait’s new room buds,” said Jennis to the girls as they smiled. Ajax looked bored as he looked down at Camille.

“What about your roommate?” asked Ajax quietly as Camille shook his head and pointed at Jet who quietly sat all the way in the back.

“That guy…Jet Leon. He’s a major pain in the you-know-what,” he said as Tait started to wonder what exactly “you-know-what” was, “and the worse thing is he won’t stop talking about you!”

“Me? But why? Does he think I’m cute?” asked Tait with a giggle as Camille once again was shocked. I’m getting confused! What way does this kid go!

“That Jet is pretty well known here. He won quite a few regional championships this year, including the East Coast Junior Tour,” replied Leina, “but I heard him talking about Tait on the boat last night also.”

“Hey! Jet!” yelled Tait suddenly as he turned around and waved happily at Jet, who got angry and gave him a not-so-nice hand gesture.

“What the hell is he doing?!” Jet screamed as he slammed his head down. Everyone simply stared for a moment as they all got quiet as a small old man walked into the room on a cane. He had snow white hair, and was wearing a plain button up shirt with brown pants.

“Ah…hello children! Welcome to Duel Applications, and I will serve as your teacher this year, Mr. Morbid.”

“Mr.…morbid?” said Leina quietly as she was somewhat amused by the name. He looks like he could possibly die at any moment…what an unfortunate coincidence!

“Now this class is a very important class indeed. Here we will learn about tons of dueling strategies, deck types, and various things to help you in your dueling career. Now, how about a Pop Quiz?” he said as everyone moaned, except Leina who looked excited. Mr. Morbid handed out the five question test to everyone and sat back at his desk, when suddenly Leina walked up.

“Mr. Morbid, I finished,” she said as he rubbed his eyes and looked at the paper. He smiled, and then stood up.

“Never mind! I see this class is smart as can be!” he said as he pointed to Leina.

“Ms. Leina Telachus here got everything right in a few seconds!”

“Oh it was nothing,” she said blushing,” those questions were easy!”

“No they weren’t,” laughed Jennis who hadn’t written anything down yet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next two hours took place inside the giant Duel Arena which was quite high tech on the inside. The students all sat down in the blue chairs around the edges as a very scary looking man in camouflage complete with a blonde Mohawk stepped onto the stage and took out a mic. He began to speak in a deep, straightforward tone.

“He makes Coach Redford look like a Kuriboh,” said Jennis to Tait who nodded.

“I heard that,” said the man as Jennis jumped quickly, “my senses are top-notch. Back to business my name is Professor Redford, and I am indeed Coach Redford’s brother. But don’t think I am as soft as he is!” he yelled suddenly causing Tait to jump and squeal.

Camille looked nervously at the man. If Coach is soft, then this guy must be rock solid!

“Come down here!” he yelled as he pointed to Tait who hurried down to the stage.

“Yes Professor?” he said softly as the man stared at him blankly. Tait merely stared back happily. The two continued this until the man’s face turned red.

“You will refer to me as “sir”! Do you understand me Ms?” he screamed as Tait fell back in shock.

“Oh for the love of,” he started to say as he stood up and brushed himself off, “I am a boy! Why do you and your brother mess that up?!”

“You don’t have to yell at me, I didn’t mean it. I’m sorry, okay?!” cried Professor Redford as he began to cry. Tait looked at him surprised, and then gave him a hug. All the other students watched with odd looks on their faces at this bizarre turn of events. It seemed under all that muscle and attitude, Professor Redford was a giant baby.

“Sorry sir! It’s okay, you can call me Ms if you want!” said Tait apologetically as Professor Redford smiled and quickly switched back to his fierce demeanor.

“GET BACK TO YOUR SEAT MS. RAINSEND!” he yelled as Tait giggled and hurried back, amused by this teacher.

“He’s funny!” he whispered to Camille when he got back.

“Anyway,” said Mr. Redford sternly as he took out a large golden duel disk and attached it to one of his huge arms, “this class will take the stuff you learned in Duel Applications and apply it in real life! Your Duel Disk and your cards will be your pencil and paper! Now, let’s get started!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Whew! That was tough!” said Leina as her and the rest sat down in a new classroom. It was set up like Mr. Morbid’s class, except there were pictures of many people on the walls all wearing duel disks.

“This is History of the Duel, right? It looks kinda fun, I mean maybe we will get to learn about Mai Kujaku!” said Krissy happily as Jennis laughed.

“A girl? No way, Seto Kaiba is the bomb!” he replied as Krissy frowned at his sexist comment.

“Jennis, that was mean! Girls can duel just as well as boys, some even better,” Sadie said firmly as Jennis backed up a bit.

“You go girl!” replied Tait with a thumbs up as Sadie returned one back. Tait then blushed again, and giggled to himself.

“Hey…Sadie,” whispered Krissy as Sadie turned to her.

“Yeah?”

“I think our new friend may have something for you,” she quietly said as she broke into a grin. Sadie laughed softly.

“I think you’re just imagining things,” she replied. Krissy shrugged.

“Hey, Camille. Don’t you have two roommates?” asked Ajax quietly as he remembered only hearing about one earlier. Camille pointed over to the shaggy-haired boy who was fast asleep and drooling. The girl in front of him didn’t notice it, unfortunately for her as she was being dripped on.

“Whoa, out cold!” replied Jennis as Camille nodded.

“Been like that pretty much every time I see him. Don’t even know his name, but I guess its better then hearing him complain like Jet.”

“I wonder what Jet’s hang up with Tait is?” questioned Leina as Camille adjusted his glasses.

“I’ll try and find out, I’m wondering myself,” he said as Tait yawned.

“Maybe he’s just jealous?” asked Tait as everyone shook there heads.

“Of you?” replied Jennis mockingly, “who would be jealous of you?”

“Well, he’s not as nice as Tait, that’s for sure!” replied Sadie, causing Tait to blush again. Camille noticed this right away. Oh Tait, you continue to surprise me! Who would’ve guessed you would have a crush on a girl so soon?

Jet was sitting by himself near the top once again, but stared at Tait. Why did he wave to me earlier? Was he mocking me? Does he know why I despise him?

“Hello children, I’m Ms. Belle!” said a busty woman as she walked into the room wearing a black sweater, and a white skirt. Her red hair slowly flowed behind her. All the boys (except Tait who wondered what the big fuss was about) looked at her immediately. They were all staring directly at one area in particular.

“Um…Cammy? What’s wrong?” asked Tait as he noticed Camille was drooling more then his sleepy roommate. The girls shook their heads in disgust.

“Anyway, if you would please stop staring at me,” she said as she slammed a ruler down on her desk causing all the boys to get back into reality, “this is History of the Duel. We will be learning about many duelists, the origin of Duel Monsters, and other stuff that will help you appreciate the game more. Before we start today’s lecture, I’d like to ask you what Duelist you admire the most,” she said with a grin as everyone begun whispering. Many names were heard then, names such as Seto Kaiba, Yugi Mutou, Mai Kujaku, Jounouchi Katsuya, Edo Phoenix, and Amon Garam. Finally, it came to Tait who was still thinking.

“Not going to say your brother, I suppose?” asked Ms. Belle with a smile as Tait looked a little upset for a second before snapping his fingers.

“Hailey Lighton is my favorite duelist Ms. Belle,” he said with a smile as she nodded.

“Interesting choice. She is a Pro Duelist who went her a few years ago, I even taught her myself! I remember her deck being a light deck which had some particularly rare monsters called the AniColors,” she recalled as everyone then realized those are what Tait uses as well.

“You use the AniColors as well, but of course they aren’t the same, right?” asked Leina outloud so Ms. Belle could hear.

“Yeah…but they aren’t the same ones!” Tait said hesitantly.

Camille caught the uncertainty in his voice, but decided not to say anything.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Mummies, curses, pyramids oh my!” said a tall thin man with a pointy black beard and super pointy eyebrows in Tait’s next class. The room was like the other rooms, except with sarcophaguses on some of the walls, and pictures of Egypt, “welcome to Egyptology with your host, Professor Kahn. I hope we can have a fun time learning about the birthplace of Duel Monsters!”

“Birthplace?” asked Krissy as Leina nodded.

“Pegasus J. Crawford, the creator of Duel Monsters, was inspired by an ancient Egyptian game. They even say that Yugi Mutou himself could trace his lineage back to Egypt, and that he dueled with the spirit of a Pharaoh!”

“No friggin way!” yelled Jennis unconvinced as Professor Kahn smiled.

“I’ll change your mind soon, you’ll see!” he said with a chuckle.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next class was in a room with bare walls, and a very pale young man only in his twenties at the desk.

“My name is Mr. Eison, and welcome to Mathematics,” he said dully as everyone yawned.

“B-o-o-oring!” declared Tait as even Leina was missing her usual will to learn.

“Now, please open your workbooks to page one,” said the teacher with little sense of emotion in his voice. A long and boring hour later, the class ended and everyone rushed out instantly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“What do we have next?” asked Sadie as the gang of seven walked through the brightly lit halls.

“Literature! Awesome!” yelled Leina as she rushed off.

“What was that all about?” asked Jennis.

“She is very excited,” Krissy explained, “about literature for some reason. She even can quote Shakespeare!”

“Shakespeare? I’ve never heard of that duelist,” responded Jennis as Ajax slapped him on the head.

“He’s an old famous writer and poet,” he said with a frown as Jennis looked embarrassed at his lack of knowledge.

“I got to go to the bathroom real fast before class,” said Tait as he quickly walked off towards the men’s room, in which he was stopped by Coach Redford.

“Hold it Ms, wrong room,” he said as he pushed Tait to the women’s room on the other side of the hallway.

“Ah…coach?” he said as Redford quickly pushed him inside. Some older girls were in there talking as they saw Tait. They all stared for a second, and then went back to talking.

“Um…hi?” said Tait with a grin as he quickly ran out. That was close, good thing those girls were nice enough to understand it was a mistake!

“Who was that?” said one of the girls with straight black hair and small red glasses.

“I don’t know Mayzie, but she looked kinda nervous. Maybe we should’ve talked to her?” replied another girl.

“She was kinda odd…like, I don’t know but something was off,” Mayzie said as she decided to follow the “girl” out of the bathroom.

“Wait up, purple haired girl!” she yelled as she ran next to Tait.

“Oh…sorry about that, Coach Redford pushed me in there! I didn’t mean to intrude on you girls!” he said with a blush.

“Why would you be intruding?” she asked as Tait giggled.

“I’m a boy, duh!” he said as Mayzie dropped her books and Tait bent down and picked them up for her. Mayzie looked at him, and then took the books.

“You don’t…really look the part,” she said as she pointed to Tait’s glossy lips.

“Really? I never noticed myself,” he said honestly as he then laughed, “oh well, what are you gonna do? My name’s Tait B-T-W and you are?” he asked as Mayzie introduced herself.

“It’s Mayzie Queensdale, and I am a Silver student,” she said as she pointed to her silver collar, “I also happen to be assisting Mr. Champagne with his Literature class and I actually have to be going to it now,” she said as Tait smiled. She began to walk away as Tait followed her.
“I have that class now also!” he said with a grin as Mayzie returned it.

“Oh…well, cool then,” she said as Tait smiled even bigger.

“You are like the coolest person I’ve met!” he said suddenly causing Mayzie to walk a bit faster.

“Is that so?” she said nervously as Tait caught up with her.

“Yeah, you just have this thing about you. I declare you my new B-F-F!” he said giving her a peace sign.

“Achoo!” sneezed Camille as he sat in the literature class waiting for the teacher to come.

“Where’s Tait?” asked Sadie with a worried look, “he’s gonna be late!”

“Here I am!” he said as he ran in with Mayzie following him. He quickly hurried up to his usual seat.

“Who’s she?” asked Camille pointing to her.

“My new B-F-F, Mayzie Queensdale! She is an assistant to the teacher!” he said with a smile as Camille frowned.

“What…but I thought I was your B-F-F?” he asked as Tait simply ignored him.

“How you doing kids?” asked a man lazily as he walked in the room. He was wearing a blue button shirt, and some jeans. His hair was silver like the moon, and curled in a ponytail in the back.

“Hello Mr. Champagne, just getting today’s lesson ready,” said Mayzie as she put some papers in a folder on his desk.

“Why thank you Mayzie! Now go sit down for a bit, I’ll handle this,” he said with a grin as Mayzie sat down on a chair in the corner.

“I’m Mr. Champagne, your literature teacher. This year we will be reading many books from all over the world, which I hope will increase your knowledge greatly, at least make you slightly different then monkeys,” he said with a sarcastic grin, “now if you need any of the books on the list, you can buy them at the school bookstore which is open later in the afternoons. Just stop on by to see me, okay?”

“This is gonna be the best class!” said Leina with a grin as she looked very excited.

“And Mayzie will help teach us also!” Tait responded with a bigger grin as he looked down at his new friend.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Welcome mon amis, I am Mr. Cissapo,” said a very fancy looking man wearing a beret and a white smock. He had short black hair that poked out under his hat, and spoke with somewhat of a French accent.

“Bonjour!” replied Leina as Mr. Cissapo smiled.

“Thank you. Anyway, I’d like to personally invite you to Card Design, the class of expressions! In this class we will be creating our very own Duel Monster cards. Now, you can’t use these cards in duels…but this will come in handy if you decide to go into Card Design as an adult. Plus, it’s fun! Now, I’d also like to mention occasionally we get a call from Mr. Pegasus himself and he may even look at some of your designs. It certainly wouldn’t surprise me if he decided to use one of your ideas also!”

“Neat, I’ll make the best card ever!” said Krissy with a smile. That would be awesome if I was picked, I always use to design my own cards when I was little…so it really would be great.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Over here!” yelled Camille as he was sitting in a huge dining hall at a table. Tait heard him, and walked over and sat down with a tray of food. Leina, Ajax, Jennis, Sadie, and Krissy were their also.

“Hey you guys, so how do you like the school?” asked Tait as everyone talked about how great it was. They talked for awhile and ate the delicious dinner with huge smiles.

“That homework we got in Duel Applications is tough!” said Jennis after he took a bite of a cheese pizza.

“I finished it easily,” replied Leina as Jennis started to suck up to her.

“Can I copy it? You are so smart,” he said with a false smile as Leina shook her head.

“Are you kidding? That’s cheating, and I don’t cheat,” she replied firmly as Jennis frowned. At a table behind him, Camille’s sleepy roommate looked up for a second at Leina, and smile.

“She’s perfect,” he said quietly as he went back to sleep.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later, the seven friends were standing outside the dorm as night began to fall. Tait put out his hand.

“Let’s make a pledge, okay?” he said as everyone put their hands on top of each other’s.

“I’m in,” said Ajax quietly.

“I guess I’ll do this dumb little thing,” replied Jennis jokingly.

“Yeah, it will be fun,” laughed Sadie.

“I agree, it would be neat,” said Krissy.

“Alright, this is just like something from a story,” chuckled Leina.

“And I’m not going to be left out,” said Camille.

“Okay,” said Tait as he closed his eyes, “we will do our bests and all graduate together no matter what. From now on, we will always be friends,” he said quietly as everyone smiled and then threw their hands in the air.

“We’ll all be the next Gaming Kings!” they yelled into the sky.

Chapter 4: Beauty and the Beast!

“That was a long day,” said Tait as he slowly slipped into some tight black sweats, and put on a rather thin, white belly shirt as he laid down for bed, “but now it’s time to hit the hay!”

“Sure was fun…except for math…and homework, but hopefully Leina will wise up and let me cheat off of her,” he said with a grin.

“And people call me lazy,” Ajax retorted under his breath.

“I do like that Sadie girl though, she’s really nice,” said Tait as he stared up at the ceiling as the lights started to dim.

“I guess,” replied Jennis groggily as he fell asleep in a few seconds. Ajax began to snore loudly as well, which was probably the loudest Tait had heard him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Hailey Lighton…ah, here she is,” whispered Camille as he sat as his computer desk, staring at the monitor as Jet was asleep. It says here she is a great duelist, and plays a Light deck…and just like I thought, she hasn’t used her AniColor monsters in awhile. Hey…what’s this?

“Tait,” moaned Jet in his sleep, as Camille quickly cut off the monitor. He didn’t want Jet to know that he too was interested in Tait. Suddenly, Camille noticed his other roommate had been missing.

“I didn’t even notice he was gone, he’s always asleep and all,” he said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the same time, his roommate, Sid Giles, was crawling on all fours armed with his duel disk. He was slowly sneaking up to a door, and quietly opened it and walked inside.

“Ah, this is it!” he said with a grin as he looked at Leina, Sadie, and Krissy all asleep in their beds. He slowly started to walk up to the closet, when he saw that Krissy opened her eyes. She stared at him before he took off, running like an animal.

“Leina, Sadie!” she said quietly as they woke up.

“Darn, I screwed up!” cursed Sid under his breath as he ran outside of the dorm, and to the side of the building. Krissy and the girls were in hot pursuit, after quickly getting dressed and grabbing their duel disks.

“We got to catch him before he sneaks into someone else’s’ room!” yelled Leina as the scruffy boy jumped on a nearby ladder, and quickly scurried up to the roof of the dorm. The girls followed, and when they finally got up Sid was standing, his duel disk ready for action.

“Heh heh! Hey ladies, I know you probably want to turn me in…but you know that would be too easy!” he said with a sneer as he showed his yellow teeth. The girls backed up in disgust, before recognizing him.

“Your Camille’s roommate, aren’t you? The sleepy boy?” asked Krissy as she pointed a finger at him accusingly in which he nodded.

“Yup, the name is Sid Giles. So, what were you doing?” replied Sid.

“We should get the Professor Masson, he’ll take care of you!” yelled Krissy as Sadie stepped in front of her.

“No, we are duelists. Remember, all the famous duelists wouldn’t just be a tattle-tale, they would duel. So, Sid, how about a deal?” asked Sadie as Sid smiled.

“Sure pretty, if you win I’ll give myself in…but if I win,” he said with a funky grin as he peered right at Leina, who shook nervously.

“Win this Sadie, for all our sakes!” asked Leina as she shivered from the cold (and advances of the boy).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Win this Sadie, win this Sadie!” repeated Beak who just so happened to be sitting on a lower windowsill, while Professor Masson was out cold. He was getting restless, so he flew out of the room and down the hall when he smelled a familiar scent. He recognized it as the perfume he smelled yesterday, which belonged to no other then Tait. Tait woke up when he heard the flapping of wings, and smiled as he looked up and saw Beak on his head.

“Beak, what’s the occasion?” Tait said happily as Beak squawked.

“Win this Sadie, win this!” it said as Tait’s eyes grew as wide as the moon.

“What? Sadie is in a duel?” asked Tait as Beak nodded. Tait stood up and slowly snuck out with the bird, as to not wake Tait. He closed the door behind him, and happened to bump into Camille who was also walking in the hall.

“Tait?” he asked with a surprise as Tait waved.

“Cammy, what are you doing?”

“My crazy roommate…well, my other crazy roommate is missing!”

“Whoa? Beak keeps saying something about Sadie…I wonder if it knows anything?” said Tait as he petted Beak.

“Sid Giles, Sid Giles!” it squawked as Camille snapped his fingers.

“I think that’s the name of my roommate!” replied Camille as Beak took off flying to the outside. Tait and Camille followed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So, ladies first,” said Sid as he pointed to Sadie who drew her cards, and then looked at her hand. Sid drew five as well, and the duel was on with both players having four-thousand lifepoints each.

“I’ll start by summoning my Absorbing Kid from the Sky!” she said as she placed the card on her duel disk. A bald chubby cherub appeared, with thirteen-hundred attack points, which looked rather scruffy, “and I’ll play two face down cards!” she added as she placed them on the field. These counter traps will be very helpful later, best to wait for the right moment though.

“My turn I suppose Sadie?” asked Sid with a false tone of chivalry as he drew a card, and sneered, “I’ll lay one monster in defense mode, one face down and end my turn!”

“I wonder what deck he plays?” whispered Leina to Krissy.

“I don’t know, but I think Sadie is okay. Her deck of angels is really good!” she replied.

“The Counter Trap Angels, could that be it?” Leina asked herself.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Look, someone is on the rooftop!” noticed Tait as he and Camille ran outside.
“A duel? Maybe it’s them!”
“Let’s go then!” demanded Tait as the two looked for the ladder to the roof, and climbed up it with Beak flying behind them.

“Tait? Camille?” asked Krissy as she saw them appear suddenly, and walked over to where she was standing.

“Yup, but what’s going on?” asked Camille as he noticed that his roommate was standing on the other side armed to duel.

“Your roommate, Sid, tried to sneak into our room!” yelled Krissy as Camille looked angry.

“Why do I get the bad roommates!” he said as he stomped his foot. Tait then noticed Sadie was dueling, and yelled to her.

“Beat that sicko!” he yelled in support as Sadie smiled back at him. Tait blushed heavily and covered his face in his hands.

“Sadie decided to duel him, and if he loses he will go quietly,” Leina told Camille.

“And if you lose?” he asked.

“Let’s not think about that!”

“I’ll start off by summoning my Guide of Victory- Freya!” yelled Sadie as she summoned a very angelic cheerleader to the field.

“It doesn’t have much attack,” said Krissy pointing to its weak one-hundred attack points, “but it increases other fairy monsters attacks by four-hundred and is protected by them!”

“Such a cool card, so pretty!” said Tait astonished as Freya begun to do a cheer. Absorbing Kid began to follow the motions, and soon he looked pumped and ready to go with the attack boost.

“Attack, assault from the sky!” yelled Sadie as Absorbing Kid jumped into the air as Sid’s lone card flipped over, revealing a small black skunk with four-hundred defense points. It squealed as the kid landed on it, squishing it.

“Oh yeah, owned!” cheered Tait.

“And Sadie gets lifepoints equal to the level of that skunk!” said Krissy as Sadie’s lifepoints increased by six-hundred since the destroyed monster was level two. Suddenly Sid begun to laugh as a green gas surrounded Absorbing Kid.

“What is this?” asked Sadie as suddenly she started to cough.

“Sadie!” yelled Tait from the sidelines as Sid stuck his tongue out at him.

“Your little girlfriend is in trouble,” he said as he held out his tongue.

“She’s not my girlfriend!” yelled Tait louder.

“Whatever. My Small Skunk allows me to put on Stink counter on the monster who destroyed it,” replied Sid with a grin as he made a fan motion with his hands.

“A Stink counter? What in the?” questioned Camille as he noticed Sadie’s lifepoints drop down three-hundred points, back to four thousand three-hundred.

“These Stink counters will slowly erode your lifepoints by three-hundred points at the end of your turn!” replied Sid with a very obnoxious laugh. Sadie gasped for breath as she looked angrily at the rude boy.

“Heh, kinda beginning to stink things up Sadie? Your boyfriend won’t like it if you smell like a skunk,” taunted Sid as Tait’s eyes narrowed. How dare you.

“And now, you’ll smell even worse!” he cried as his face down card popped up, revealing a trap card depicting a herd of skunks, “my Stink Spread will give your Freya a nice Stink counter as well!”

“Not so fast, I’ll play this!” declared Sadie as she too revealed a trap, this one with a small round angel directing traffic, “Saved by an Angel! It allows me, by discarding a Fairy monster to the graveyard, to negate you trap and destroy it!”

“Oh well, so what?” shrugged Sid as he drew a card for his turn, and then summoned a monster on the field with fourteen-hundred attack points. It was a bipedal skunk holding a long red pole in one arm.

“Luckily Freya increases the attack of Absorbing Kid, so Sadie is safe from attack,” said Camille.

“Yes, but I think Sadie should be careful before she attacks it. It probably has something to do with those Stink counters,” she replied as Camille nodded.

“You know…this moonlight really brings out your eyes,” he said suddenly as Leina looked at him, and smiled.

“Thanks. Your hair is pretty radiant right now also,” she said. Krissy and Tait looked at each other for a second, and then went back to watching the duel.

“And after I play my Pole Cat,” said Sid as he pointed to his monster, “I’ll use my Stink Spray! This little spell adds one Stink counter toy one of your monsters!” A small, black spray can with a picture of a skunk appeared in front of Freya, and shot white spray at it. Freya screamed as she coughed.

“Freya!” yelled Sadie looking at her suffering monster. She could see tears in its eyes. I know it’s just a hologram, but I feel something special with this monster. My first card I got.

Sadie slowly began to recall the day she found it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A young Sadie, of about eight years old, was walking through a cracked street as she looked around her. All she could see were broken down buildings, cars turned over and rusted, and a dark sky. It was possibly the gloomiest place she had ever been to, and she felt like crying. The place use to be a town, but it was all but empty now. She was here looking to see if any survivors were left, as the town had been hit by one of the biggest tornadoes in the history of the country. That one day, the sky turned dark and it was like the earth was ripping apart. It only lasted for awhile, but it left a sad story in its wake. Suddenly, Sadie stepped on something and looked down on the ground. A small Duel Monster card was lying there, and right next to it she saw a hand sticking out from under a torn roof.

“Oh my god,” she screamed as she quickly lifted the roof, amazing herself at how easy it felt. It was like someone else was helping her lift it. Under it she found who the hand belonged to, an older boy with spiky black hair and wearing torn clothes lying on the ground almost dead. Sadie picked up the Duel Monster card, and put it in her pocket. This card…Guide of Victory, Freya? I feel strength from it, the strength to help people.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Ah, thank you Sadie,” said the boy as he was sitting in his wheelchair watching cartoons in a small hospital room. Sadie had just walked in and handed him a glass of water.

“Oh, it was nothing Steven,” she said as the boy took a sip and then coughed.

“The prognosis…you won’t be able to walk anymore,” she said as tears began to well up. Steven took his hand, and wiped off the young girl’s eyes.

“Ha-ha, that’s just how life is. I probably would have died if you hadn’t come along like an angel,” he said with a grin. Sadie’s face slowly began to light up.

“By the way, I found this,” she said as she held up the card she found earlier, “near you. Is it yours?” she asked.

“No…but I do collect them. In fact, I was just on my way to a tournament that day,” he said as he then looked down at his legs.

“What’s wrong?” Sadie asked.

“I guess I won’t be able to do that anymore,” he said with a sigh. Sadie got upset again, but then smiled.

“Maybe I should start dueling? After all, that card I found today…it empowered me to help you,” she said smiling. Steven blinked a bit, and then laughed.

“That would be awesome Sadie! You have a big heart, and that’s important for a duelist to have!”

“Really?”

“I’m sure. You can guide me to victory!” he said with a grin.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A present-day Sadie walked into a small red room, with posters of Duel Monster cards all over it, and Steven was sitting in his wheelchair.

“Steven, I’m leaving now.” Steven turned and looked at her, as she noticed tears were streaming down his normally calm face.

“You’re finally going…to become a professional?” he asked as Sadie nodded. Those past couple of years, inspired by Freya, she had become an excellent duelist winning a few local tournaments with her Angel deck. After, she would return to the children’s hospital and tell Steven all about the tournament that day.

“Sure am Steven. I’m off to Duel Tech tonight.”

“Okay. Make me proud,” he said with a smile as both of them broke down into crying, and hugged each other.

“I’ll donate all the money I win when I become a Pro to this children’s hospital, and everyone else that is in trouble,” cried Sadie as Steven patted her on the back, “I want to make a difference in this world, and maybe I can inspire others!”

“You and your angels will make this hospital proud,” he replied quietly in her ear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Steven…I won’t let you down. I pledge to do my best, for you and all the other sick kids in the world, I promise. I’ll lead you to victory! Just like Freya helped me find strength that one day, I’ll help her this time.” she said to herself as she watched her first card suffer in pain back in the present.

“Sadie, don’t give up!” yelled Tait from the sidelines as Sadie snapped back into focus.

“What’s wrong? Too much for you?” laughed Sid with a grin, his yellow teeth glowing in the moonlight.

“I’ll lead my cards to victory this time,” she replied angrily as Freya smiled, almost as if the hologram had a heart of its own.

“Look, her monster is smiling!” cried Camille amazed at the range of emotions a mere hologram was capable of.

“What’s with that cocky grin on your cheerleader, you’re losing!” yelled Sid as he began to freak out.

“We don’t give up to people like you!” cried Sadie as Sid stared nervously.

“Well, you’ll reconsider after those Stink counters begin to take effect next turn!”

Tait looked at the field, and then looked over at the smile Sadie was wearing. Sadie…you look happy. Did your monster reach out to you like mine did the other day?

Card of The Chapter

Today's Card of the day is...

Small Skunk
Dark/Beast/2/400/200
When this monster is destroyed, add one Stink counter to the monster who destroyed it. At the end of the turn, the owner who has a monster with a Stink counter loses 300 points for each one.

Another short chapter, but I think it's pretty good. I noticed my dialouge was kinda stiff in the other chapters, so I tried to improve it in this one. I think I did a good job with that. Anyway, conclusion of the Sid vs. Sadie duel.

Chapter 5: Stench Away
“No matter little Sadie, you won’t win anyway,” stated Sid as he calmed down a bit and ended his turn.

“My turn…and I’ll start off this turn right with my Dunames Dark Witch!” A beautiful angelic woman appeared on the field with eighteen-hundred attack points.

“Sadie’s got two monsters’ that are stronger then that Pole Cat,” noticed Camille as he then remembered what Leina said. Something’s wrong.

“I think Sadie is getting kind of overconfident, like usual,” replied Krissy stating it as-matter-of-factly. Tait looked at them with a frown.

“How come you guys aren’t being very supportive to poor Sadie? We should be cheering her!” he declared as he started spelling out Sadie’s name like a cheerleader.

“She’s getting too overconfident Tait, that’s a flaw of hers. She always gets this way in her duels,” Krissy told him as he stopped cheering and stood still.

“What-ever, you guys need to be more supportive of her! She’s doing fabulous!”

“Show him what we can do Absorbing Kid!” Sadie commanded the fat angel to attack Pole Cat. Freya began to cheer for the kid as it jumped in the air, and was flying right down towards Pole Cat like an Anvil.

“Might not work,” said Sid as a small coin with Pole Cat on it appeared on the field. It flipped in the air, and landed on a picture of Pole Cat’s face.

“A coin toss effect? And it’s on heads! That usually is in favor of the player who used the effect!” yelled Leina as Pole Cat quickly held up its pole to block the attack of Absorbing Kid. He was thrown back, and landed on the ground. More green gas began to come from it, and Sadie began to choke.

“Heh, Pole Cat isn’t destroyed if it lands on heads, but you at least get a nice counter as a consolation!” laughed Sid.

“I’m sure the Goddess of luck will be on my side now if I put faith into her, so I’ll put my faith in my dark witch!” Dunames flew straight at Pole Cat, as the coin appeared and was flipped again.

“Come on Sadie, don’t rush in blindly like a fool!” yelled Leina as the coin landed.

“I can’t look!” said Tait as he covered his eyes.

“Heads, you get another counter Sadie-poo!” declared Sid as Pole Cat whacked Dunames with its pole, sending her flying back. She slowly got up, and green gas began to slowly flow off of her.

“Four counters? That’s a grand total of one thousand, two-hundred points per turn!” Leina said nervously as Camille patted her on the back.

“Let’s try to think this cloud has a silver lining, somewhere or another!”

“Come on Sadie, think! You’re just putting blind faith into your attacks” Krissy shouted as Sadie looked solemnly at the ground. I always get so overconfident, and I just lose focus. I want to help people so much, that I sometimes forget to help myself.

“Don’t worry,” said a voice. Sadie looked up at Freya, who gave her a smile.

“Freya?” asked Sadie as the cheerleader nodded.

“I know we can do this, you’ll lead us to victory like always! We have faith in you.”

“Thank you Freya.”

“What’s going on with Sadie? She’s speaking to someone,” asked Krissy as she noticed Sadie talking to her monster. Tait noticed as well, but smiled. Just like Red Vixen. It’s so neat how close we become with our cards, it’s fantabulous!

“I’ll end my turn,” declared Sadie as burst of gas suddenly filled her side of the field.

“Ah, the Stink tokens take their toll!” laughed Sid triumphantly as Sadie’s lifepoints dropped down to three thousand, one-hundred.

“Eeew, that’s such an icky move!” squealed Tait with a disgusted look on his face, “I hope poor Sadie isn’t as traumatized by this as I am!”

“What a sick roommate I ended up with! He and Jet are like the Gemini Elves of bad roommates!” Camille said as he put his hand on his forehead and shook it.

“Oh, is it my turn now?” said Sid sarcastically as he drew a card, and smiled with the usual toothy yellow grin of his. “I’ll play one monster in defense mode, add a face down as well and end my turn!”

“Sadie, think before you attack this time,” pleaded Leina quietly as Sadie then placed a card face down on the field.

“Is she gonna attack?” asked Krissy nervously as Sadie answered this by commanding her Absorbing Kid to attack Pole Cat. The seventeen-hundred attack monster jumped into the air.

“Heh, a risk taker I see. I like that in a woman,” replied Sid as the coin flipped…and landed on tails. Sid’s mouth dropped wide open.

“Lady Luck is on Sadie’s side now!” cheered Tait as he happily jumped in the air like a little girl. Absorbing Kid hit Pole Cat like a ton of bricks, and it was destroyed.

“You lose three-hundred lifepoints, and thanks to the effect of Absorbing Kid I gain twelve-hundred since that was a four star monster!” said Sadie with a grin as Sid made a raspberry with his tongue as his lifepoints dropped to three thousand, seven-hundred and Sadie’s rose back to four thousand, three-hundred.

“Nice, but what will she go for the face-down card?” wondered Camille as Sadie then ordered her Dunames Dark Witch to attack the face down monster. It flew with its wings right at it, as the card flipped over and a very fat skunk popped out. Like paper, the skunk was sliced in half by the sharp angelic wings. Suddenly, green gas flew out and hit Dunames, Absorbing Kid, and Freya. All three monsters started to wince in pain.

“Heh, you get three for the price of one stink counter combo on all your monsters thanks to my Fat Skunk’s effect!” chuckled Sid.

“This is starting to stink (literally!); poor Sadie has seven Stink counters now. I’m getting worried,” said Tait as he began to cry.

“Tait…are you crying?” asked Krissy as she looked upset with him.

“What! Sadie is losing!” he said angrily as Krissy stared at him, her eyes filled with pity.

“Tait…what happened to you earlier? You were yelling at us for not supporting her. Is crying for her support?” she said sternly as Tait wiped his eyes.

“But…she’s my friend, and she looks in pain.”

“Sadie wouldn’t like to see you cry, she doesn’t like to see others upset. No matter what happens to her, she always says that she is happy when other people are as well.”

“Sadie,” whispered Tait as he blew his nose with a pink hanky he pulled out of his pocket, and smiled again. Kick his smelly butt!

“I still have Freya left, and you don’t have anything! Attack Freya, cheer power kick!” ordered Sadie as Freya somersaulted into the air, and slammed her foot into Sid, causing him to be pushed back a bit. His lifepoints lowered by five-hundred thanks to Freya’s effect boosting her own attack. Sid now had three thousand, two-hundred lifepoints left.

“I’ll play these two spell cards now!” replied Sadie bravely as she placed two identical spell cards on the field. The cards, which had a rather angelic looking lady on it, rose her lifepoints up by two thousand.

“Dian Keto the Curemaster gives her lifepoints a much needed boost, and she still has those trap cards, so I’d say she isn’t out yet,” noted Leina with a hint of worry in her voice. “But now her hand is dry. Hand size plays a big role in this game.”

“My turn’s over,” said Sadie as suddenly green gas exploded on her side of the field, and she began to violently choke.

“Even know it is just a hologram, the mental pressure of direct attacks like this can really be potent,” pointed out Leina as Sadie’s lifepoints dropped back down to only two-thousand points.

“My turn, darling!” laughed Sid as he placed a spell card on his side of the field. The card showed a skunk being protected by hundreds of menacing smiling tomatoes.

“What the heck is that? Attack of the Tomatoes?” wondered Camille as Sid smiled with a grin.

“My Tomato Shield won’t let monsters with Stink counters attack me for three turns!”

“That means…Sadie can’t attack unless she draws a new monster!” said Krissy with a gasp as Tait began to bite his nails nervously.

“Oooh! I never liked tomatoes!” he replied in all seriousness as Krissy giggle a bit.

“And I’ll summon my Rabid Skunk,” he added as a big black skunk foaming at the mouth with zero attack points appeared. Freya, Absorbing Kid, and Dunames suddenly shook as green gas appeared from out of them, and flew into Rabid Skunk. Its attack went up to fourteen-hundred as it snarled. “It gains two-hundred lovely points for each Stink counter you have as well, so thanks!”

“It still is weaker then Absorbing Kid or Dunames, and Freya can’t be attacked, so Sadie is safe from his attacks as well,” stated Leina.

“Ultimate Offering, activate!” chuckled Sid his trap card, with a red monster emerging from a green one, revealed itself at his command. His lifepoints suddenly went down to one-thousand, two hundred. A skunk wearing silver armor, and another Pole Cat appeared at this moment, as Sadie backed up a bit in fear.

“Ultimate Offering, for the price of five-hundred points per monster, allows you to summon extra monsters. These count as normal summons though,” explained Leina again to the group.

“Ouch, that’s three monsters…the field is even now,” noted Camille with a worried look.

“And time to stink it up!” joked Sid as the armored Skunk shot out a spray of smelly vile at Dunames, causing it to erupt in even more green gas. Rabid Skunk also began to growl, as its attack jumped up to eighteen-hundred.

“What? Now I have nine Stink counters?” asked Sadie confused as Sid nodded.

“My Imperial Itachi, bless its soul, adds two stink counters to your strongest monster!”

“Oh no, Sadie will lose even more lifepoints now!” said Krissy panicked as Tait began to feel faint. Sadie…you can’t lose to this jerk, you can’t. I…love you!

“My turn Sid and I won’t give up that easily. My ministers always told me to never give up, and have faith in others,” replied Sadie as she drew a card and placed it in her hand. She then reached into her pocket, and pulled out a small necklace with a cross on it. Ever since Steven gave this to me for Christmas, I take it everywhere. And it looked like it came through for me.

“Sadie? What’s she doing with that cute little necklace Krissy?” asked Tait as Krissy smiled.

“Sadie is very religious. She says that’s what gives her strength,” replied Krissy with a grin. “She always prays with it in tight spots.”

“That’s pretty neat!” laughed Tait. By the look on his face, Krissy realized that he didn’t seem to understand exactly what she meant.

“I’ll end my turn,” she said as green gas began to explode onto her.

“She only has two thousand lifepoints left, and she’ll lose two thousand, seven-hundred!” screamed Krissy as the green gas cleared, and a giant heavenly woman was behind Sadie.

“You have friggin two thousand, three-hundred lifepoints left?” questioned Sid as he noticed Sadie had quickly played a trap card.

“My Divine Protection of Goddess card gives me three thousand extra lifepoints, so haven’t lost hope yet!” declared Sadie as Sid drew a card, and sneered.

“That is a bit risky, if that card is destroyed then Sadie loses the three thousand life points as retribution,” explained Leina once again as Camille eagerly listened.

“You sure know a lot about Duel Monsters!” he said grinning as Leina blushed a bit.

“Oh…I just have a big memory, that’s all”

“Hah! You saved yourself one more turn, but you’ll lose now!” Sid said as suddenly his Imperial Itachi, Pole Cat, and Rabid Skunk began to dissolve into a cloud of gaseous green smog as a figure slowly appeared.

“What in the world is that!?” yelled Tait as the shadowy figure slowly came into clear view. It was a very ladylike creature wearing skunk fur all over its body. It laughed evilly as Sadie looked nervous at its two thousand, seven-hundred points of attack.

“My Skunk Supermodel, Tait! Do you like it? By tributing three of my Skunk monsters, I can summon it to the field. And, say goodbye to all your monsters with Stink counters!” yelled Sid as he began to laugh into the air.

“Darn, she won’t have any monsters left!” cursed Sadie as Tait looked nervous.

“Wait a minute! Sadie has that face down trap still, and looks like we all forgot about it including Sid!” yelled Leina as she noticed Sadie reaching for it on her duel disk.

“Uh-oh, I forgot about that! Shoot, me and my low attention span!” said Sid as he stopped laughing and begin to sweat nervously. Suddenly, a giant lighting bolt shot down from the sky, and destroyed his monster.

“My Divine Protection trap destroys your effect monster,” courageously said Sadie. “And now, since that was a counter trap, I can summon this! The card I drew last turn!” Freya, Absorbing Kid, and Dunames turned into purple lights and shot up into the air. Suddenly, a giant angelic creature appeared in a waterfall of lights, and loomed over the field.

“That thing makes my Stratocumulus Skull look like a Skull Servant!” said Camille, shocked at the sheer grandiose of the monster. Tait smiled.

“Holy-guacamole, that thing looks totally awesome!”

“My Voltanis the Adjudicator can be summoned after a counter-trap resolves! Good thing I drew it last turn,” said Sadie with a grin, as she held one hand over her cross.

“I…end my turn,” Sid said hesitantly. I’ve been screwed over by faith!

“Voltanis…show him how strong faith can be! Judgment day!” ordered Sadie as Voltanis punched its arms together, and shot forth lighting in a cross shape. Sid was struck head on, and flew back a few inches onto his back. He sneezed as his lifepoints dropped to nothing.

“Thank you Freya, and the rest of you guys for giving me strength,” said Sadie slowly as she looked a little faint. She slowly began to drift towards the edge of the roof. Leina gasped.

“All that gas must have affected her balance!” she said as she covered her mouth in shock.

“Sadie!” yelled Tait as he quickly ran and grabbed her by the arm before she fell. He then noticed Sid had grabbed her other arm as well.

“Heh, I don’t want her to die. I’m not that big of a jerk,” replied Sid as Tait smiled with a grin.

“Thank you. I don’t think I could lift her myself with my weak little arms anyway!” he said with a nervous chuckle.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“WHAT!?” yelled Leina as Sid sat down on his knees and pleaded.

“I just wanted to copy your homework since you seem so smart, I always fall asleep during class so I never know how to do the homework!” he cried with tears as Krissy sighed.

“We thought you were some kind of pervert, if you were that desperate you could have just asked for our help.”

“Me? A pervert?” asked Sid with a frown. Well, I do like the ladies!

“You still snuck into their room Sid, so we should turn you in. What you did was rude and annoying” declared Camille as he began to walk towards the ladder.

“Wait,” said Sadie who had recovered from the dizziness induced by the Stink counters. “I forgive him.”

“Huh?” asked Camille as Tait smiled.

“He did help me save her,” he said with a grin as he blushed. Sadie is so sweet.

“Besides, we should give forgiveness to him. That’s what the bible says,” replied Sadie as she patted Sid on the back.

“I’ll never bother you guys again and I’ll even stay awake for class, just don’t turn me in!” he cried. You know…this Sadie girl is kinda cute. Maybe if I brushed my teeth and took showers, I’d have a chance with her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was morning, and Tait whistled to himself as he stood in the Bronze Dorm shower washing his hair. The shower was empty, due to the other boys being somewhat nervous at taking a shower with Tait. After Tait was done, he quickly wrapped himself up in a towel from his chest to his knees, and wrapped his hair up in one as well. He walked out of the shower room as everyone finally looked relieved that he had finished his long shower.

“Thank god, he takes a longer shower then my sister!”

“We really need to get him his own shower!”

“Finally, I can take a nice warm shower!” said Camille as he walked into the shower. He slowly turned on the faucet, and noticed that Sid was next to him.

“Hey roomie, what’s up?” replied Sid with an unusually white smile as Camille stared.

“Your teeth…they're so clean?” he said amazed.

“Yeah, I think I need to work on my image.”

“So, no more night stalking?” asked Camille as he washed his thick Afro with shampoo.

“Nah, I’m gonna stay awake today,” he said as he shook some bugs out of his hair. Camille held back the urge to vomit.

“That’s nice.”

“Yeah, I got my eye on a girl now,” he then said giving a thumbs up as Camille returned it.

“Ah, way to go. Who is it?”

“Sadie.”

“Oh,” said Camille nervously. Seems Tait has him a love rival now, oh boy. This won’t be good. At least my roommate seems to have improved, now only if the other one would.
