The limitation is in place to prevent loading a post with hundreds of huge images to break the board.

That said, the only one I'm not impressed with is the one with the machoke legs. It just seems too forced together. The rest are fantastic though.
 
These are very good! They don't look mismatched and crude like some other spriters' work.

The Charizard/Breloom splice is my personal favourite.
