New Transformation Mask cards revealed after Aichi Champions League Day 1, including an ACE SPEC and several Special Art Rares

Saturday marked the first day of the Aichi Champions League, an event where the best Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game players are pitted against each other to see who the true champion is! The event was livestreamed on the official Japanese Pokémon Card Game channel on YouTube. Several new cards were presented at the end of the first day of the event for the Transformation Mask expansion. A follow-up video summarizing the new cards was also posted to the channel. These cards will be released in Japan later this month on April 26th, and will release internationally as part of the Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade expansion, which comes out May 22nd.

Iwasaki Shugo won this year's Aichi Champions League with his deck based on the Lost Box archetype. Anyone who is invited to this year's World Championships in Hawaii could have a chance to meet him there, if he ends up going.

The new Chansey's regular variant has artwork by HYOGONOSUKE, while its Art Rare variant features artwork by Toshinao Aoki, set in a Pokémon Center. Blissey ex has artwork by Iwamoto05, an artist who also illustrated Reshiram from the Japanese Battle Academy.
All four Ogerpon ex are receiving their Special Art Rare variants with artwork by Yano Keiji. Players can also get excited because Scoop Up Cyclone is getting reprinted. It's a card that we previously saw back in Black & White—Plasma Blast. After Master Ball, it is only the second ACE SPEC card to be reprinted.
