Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gens 1-7)

Re: Platinum-Missing Heatran

Team Plasma? I think you mean Team Galactic. :p

Anyways, you have to go talk to Buck again in the Survival Area.

Re: Platinum-Missing Heatran

Yeah, Galactic. Sorry, I had several games going at once LOL. I'd just finished Black and White when I played through that one. I know, going backwards. I'll port my mons from it and Heartgold forward to BW when I'm sure all is done. Then they'll all be around for 2.

In the house, all I see is Buck's dad and the four gym leaders. He isn't there.

Also, Cresselia-how do I get the darn thing to stay put? the last two encounters, I used Mean Look with my Gengar and it ran anyway. I know the quick claw isn't a surefire 'strike first' but is there a way to up the chance of a first strike? Would Arena Trap or Block work better? (I use Gengar because it has Hypnosis). I'm on the verge of getting Action Replay just for the masterball cheat. I do not cheat in battle, that should be stated clearly. But, all the masterballs my friend traded me are on BW except one,and I used that on Kyogre in HG,it was driving me nuts KOing itself with Struggle.

GEN V Question: Stats of Lv 100s and EVs.

What the title says. Now I will give you an example to expand on it:

"You get a level 100 Zekrom from an event. So it has 0 EVs, and therefore it's max Attack level isn't maxed out at all, and it's at 380 instead of 420+. Since it cannot level up anymore, but can apparently still gain EVs, will it forever be stacked at a sub-par Attack level stat?"

In Gen V the stats are recalculated after every battle I believe.

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)

You also can still feed a (EV clean slate) pokemon vitamins and feathers, giving the Pokemon the same EVs a properly trained pokemon would get. And if you mess up, feed it a EV reducing berry and just start over from there.

Buck should be in the Trainer Cafe in the Survival Area, next to the Pokemon Center. He only appears there on certain days, though. Is that where you're checking?

As for Cresselia...I'm not sure why Mean Look would fail if your Gengar was faster than Cresselia. Cresselia's speed stat isn't all that great, so your Gengar should be faster than it. What level is your Gengar?

Any Pokemon with Arena Trap or Shadow Tag wouldn't last long against Cresselia. And most Pokemon who learn Block via level up might not be fast enough to keep Cresselia from escaping. So I think your best option is to make sure Gengar is at a high enough level to outspeed Cresselia. I think level 35-40 might be a good start, since Gengar is the fastest Ghost-type Pokemon.

So, exactly where do you find kyurem in the giant chasm? I've been looking for it, but I can't find it.
Edit: lol, never mind. Just found it.

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)

So I played through the main game of "Poképark 2: Wonders Beyond" without managing to befriend Watchog, and now the only place I can find one is in the Wish Park area, where I can't befriend him. Where can I find a befriend-able Watchog after the main game?

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)

What part of victory road can you battle Cheren in black?

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)

After you beat the main game and talk to him on Route 5 (with the national dex), he should be in the final room of victory road (the cave, not outside). It'd probably be easiest to fly to the Pokémon league and go down to victory road that way (first cave entrance you see that way, if I recall on the...right?).

OK! Thanks!

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)

To what extent can you use cheated items at VGC? I know you can use cheated stat-raising items and Rare Candies, but can you give your team cheated held items?

Re: Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Gen 5)

Not easy to explain, but here's my best explaination:

Watchog is in the Cove Area. Go towards the opposite side of the area from the small beach where female Frillish is. On the way to the small beach opposite from Frillish, you'll see an area where there is a roof-like platform above the path (Fracture can be found around this area, sometimes jumping from the platform) and if you take a left around there, you'll see a small path where Watchog is standing, attacking you. There is a treasure chest behind Watchog, and if you open it while avoiding Watchog's attacks, it will be your friend. there's also a ledge you can jump onto in the back of the small path where there is a Vast White Quill, and Emolga.

OK, I think I know where that is. Thanks for the help!
