Masuda was likely trying to joke as a way of saying he couldnt answer, I wouldnt put too much weight into that.

I think it was a joke, they won't want to spoil the actual number of new Pokemon being introduced.
 
I'm pessimistic, I fully expect the next CoroCoro to have nothing. =D

Hey, better to expect the worse than to get your hopes up. It'll soften the blow for when it doesn't happen, and if there actually is something, it blows you away that much more.

Hey, there will be something. No if about it! But I am expecting something small due to the fact that E3 is two months away and they don't want to give anything away until then.

You sound like some romcom character who is afraid to fall in love again just because of previous heartbreak. When CoroCoro said they will start coverage, they will have something, it's just that we don't know if it's big or small.

I'm expecting and hoping it's just high resolution images of concept art just to avoid disappointment.

I'm serious when I say that it is better to expect nothing than to get your hopes up. Growing too hopeful makes people bitter, and I have experienced that first-hand from other people far too many times than I would like. The reception to Pokenchi is a perfect example. But in the positive light of things, when it does happen, then it becomes a pleasant surprise and it is that much better.

Tuoko has the right idea because they're keeping their expectations small.

It's just an impression. I apologize if I hurted your feeling.
I'm always hopeful, even when I kind of knew that Pokenchi would have no news. At the moment that they showed the same trailer, I was like, "knew it, waste of my time", then I moved on and place my hope on CoroCoro.

That's why I don't put my hope in anything when it comes to Pokemon. I just wait till they give us something and be happy with that. After grey and Z didn't happen I don't trust my opinions anymore.

Wow, you are still distraught over Grey and Z? As far as I'm concern, as long as they announce a new game and give me new Pokemon to enjoy, I'll be happy. Who care if there are Grey or Z or not, they are just some what if that didn't get realize in this timeline of ours.

I'm not at all distraught. Black 2 and white 2 are my favourite games. My point is that I expected those things and when game freak went a different route I was blown away so now I just accept that whatever game freak dies is for the fans and they always make it work. Therefore I don't feel like speculating till we have an announcement.

I know, I watched some Youtuber's speculation sometimes out of boredom, and they are outrageous. Things like believing Magearna to be Steel/Fairy just because they feel like it (not because there are logic to back it up), or wanting GameFreak to add Pokemon fusion like those stupid fusion engine online, or wanting GameFreak to introduce a split evolution line to Frogadier just because they hate Greninja's design(n):mad:. These just get to my nerves.

I know, some people think that it will fit the Sun and Moon theme because of the legend of the Jade Rabbit or Moon Rabbit.
 
It's a shame that Magearna is a Mythical Pokemon. I would have liked to catch her in Sun and Moon. :)
 
Maybe there will be a Magianaq event sometime after Sun and Moon is released. :)

It could always be an event that requires you to go to an area to catch it... The last time they did this was Victini, though, wasn't it?

Yes, Victini was the last one where you could catch it on Liberty Island, I think. This is still an even of sorts, so I hope this isn't the case.
