SwSh Regional Dex Discussion

I've been obsessing over what the right amount of new pokemon should be lately. I think that 86 new pokemon could actual be enough, but Alola really, really squandered it. Not just with the number of legendaries, but also the number of single stage pokemon. Alola had 14 which is the same number that Unova introduced (in a dex nearly twice the size).

But with 86 pokemon we could have:

3 starters
1 regional bird (3 stages)
1 regional "rodent" (2 stages)
1 regional bug (3 stages)
The box trio
The Sub Legend Trio ( I really felt like Kalos was incomplete without one)
6 single stage pokemon
18 two-stage pokemon
7 three-stage pokemon

With this spread; a person could make 6 teams that each had 1 single stage pokemon, 2 three stage pokemon, and 3 two-stage pokemon; all with no overlaps and no legendaries. Also, each typing could be accounted for exactly twice (if every pokemon was mono-type; obviously, it would be more if there were dual types). After much thought, analysis, and color-coded tables; I have decided that this would be my ideal dex composition. It would be more than gen 4, 6, or 7 and pretty comparable to gen 2 minus about 10 single stage pokemon.

I'm kind of worried that Galar is going to go single stage heavy again, though. Drednaw, Alcremie, and Duraludon all look like single stage pokemon. But ultimately, my hope is to have at least 36 evolution lines and a good amount of 3 stage pokemon.

Not understanding what you're saying, could you try to rephrase it? =/
Normally Ditto would revert back to it's original form when it switches out? And so would certain statuses like Confusion and Attraction. But Dynamaxing is not switching out. It would only be in the Poké Ball for a second before it grows and gets sent back out immediately. But switching out would give the Pokémon some rest which is why Ditto would revert back to it's normal form and confused and attracted Pokémon would snap out of it. But that quick moment in the Poké Ball when Dynamaxing wouldn't give any time to rest, so Ditto would still be in it's transformed state as it grows bigger.

Oh- yeah I figure if Ditto can Dynamax, it would probably have to do it using the opponent's form. An untransformed Dynamax Ditto would only have Max Guard, after all.

Then again, it would only last three turns, so if someone wanted to Max Guard their giant blob for three turns, I guess that's their prerogative.

I wonder who's going to be the new pseudo-legendary

EDIT: also, Morpeko reminds me of this:

Some a friend told me Morpeko's ability is likee Truant. In which it switches every turn. Gonna be tricky fighting and using that.

Seems pretty easy to me-use an Electric move one turn, and a dark the next. Its sig move even switches for that.
