SwSh Dexit and the DLC

The Mythicals being pushed above common Pokemon makes sense, since - at the risk of being a Geewunner spouting conspiracy theories - that's what most people are gunning for. Still, given the amount of worldbuilding and the fact the layout of SwSh's plot may be a tribute to medieval stories (Leon's the king training his successor, Hop is the faithful squire, Bede is the spoiled noble learning to respect others, Marnie is the town girl people try to defend, Rose as the evil chancellor, etc), it is weird they would be removed.

The rest of all gens 1-7 Pokémon were excluded from Pokémon Sword & Shield, The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. So I'm just wanting to know why you think?

The exclusion of the remaining Pokemon could be a hint for the Sinnoh remakes or a complete update.

Oh I hope so. The fact that *only* gen 4 fossils and mythicals are missing is a bit suspicious... along with some other Sinnoh early mons like Starly, Burmy, Kricketot, Bidoof etc.
the starters on the other hand... IDK, Game Freak has shown favoritism towards Kanto and Hoenn starters before so the fact that Sinnoh's are missing is not that surprising (Johto, Unova and Kalos' starters are missing as well so...)

What's next in Gen 9, Game Freak showing favoritism towards Johto and Sinnoh starters?

Gen 4 isn’t the only generation with absent Mythicals. There’s also Deoxys, Meloetta, and Hoopa.

While I don't know where Meloetta and Hoopa could fit, remember that there's the meteorites in Veilstone City, giving hope for Deoxys.

Unless they're going to suddenly make Deoxys catchable in any DP remakes, I don't think that's very noteworthy as evidence. Until Galar, every region had a place where you could change Deoxys's forme - it's just an obligatory element. No matter what the next game is, if Deoxys is restored (which it almost certainly would be), there'll have to be somewhere with a forme-changing meteorite. (And in that regard, Meloetta and Hoopa don't really need to "fit," since Meloetta's forme change is controlled by a move and Hoopa's is controlled by a key item that can be dispensed by any old NPC).

I could see Deoxys' Forme being changed with a Meteorite Key Item, much like the Rotom Catalog, in the near future.

Honestly just repurpose the Meteorite from the Hoenn games! It wouldn't even be the first time it got messed around with.

And other than formally adding Relic Song to Meloetta's learnset (which I'm sure will happen whenever it does get reintroduced), I think that's really the only form change mechanism that needs to be adjusted. Well, that and adding one for Deerling and Sawsbuck.

Although a lot of Sinnoh Pokemon are already in the game, including the Box Legends and other popular Pokemon. Overall, it's actually Hoenn who's missing the most, and Johto that has a largest percentage of mons missing. The amount of Pokemon that Sinnoh is missing is highly exaggerated.

The ones that are missing, are somewhat iconic though:
- Fossils
- Starters
- Literally all Mythicals of that generation

It's hard NOT to see a pattern.

Even then, 43 is almost half of the gen IV Pokémon missing, though. Percentage-wise, gen 2 misses the most. Seeing how gen 1-4 are well-represented in the Gen IV games, but not in Gen VIII...

Anyway, the biggest evidence is obviously still the Croagunk statue. Why make a Croagunk statue for just your house, while it's such an obvious reference to the ones in Pastoria city?

Anyway, you still think we'll not be getting a remake or another major title next year? I'm curious why you think that.

What's this about what now?

There's a Croagunk statue in your room. The only one in the game.

Only other game with Croagunk statues is D/P/PT, in some shops in Pastoria city.

I don't think I'm seeing it. Where in the room is it?

The player's room. In SWSH, next to the TV.

All I see are a couple of jars(/candles?)

Huh, wait, another room then? The room with the posters. Is that your rival's room? I went into the wrong house then.

EDIT: Yup, Hop's room. Upstairs.
