Generation IV Remake Speculation

Will there be remakes in Gen VIII?

Honestly, when I really think about it, the things I'm most interested in will be the new stuff they will introduce that weren't already in the originals. So, I guess my answer is "something new". All of the previous remakes have added new features/locations, so I expect DP remakes to as well. If you specifically mean something that already exists in the game, I don't think that they'd remove Contests or the Underground, but if for some reason they decide to do some fresh new take on Sinnoh and replace those features with something else, I could potentially be okay with that if the new stuff was interesting.

I want the remakes to focus on building on the lore of the region and the legends and characters; especially Cyrus. Its probably the only region where I care about the story the most.
 
Honestly, I want Capsules to return, imagine how cool it will to use that stuff on Gen 5-8 Pokemon. But sadly, I see this feature being cut just for the fact that it would only add to the game in a visual context. It would be even better when you can see other players sending out their Pokemon having the effects they put on their Poke Ball.
 
Yeah the graphics themselves look fanmade, but I have to say, I love the atmosphere created in this! Now I'm hoping Route 216 will actually be this dark when you're playing at night.

Now that's just grasping at straws. But I do want Sinnoh remakes and I want them to include the National Dex as a reward for seeing every Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex just like in the original games, but this time it's expanded from Platinum to include Heatran, Regigigas, Cresselia, Phione, Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus which you should catch in the main story. Yep, I want Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus to get the Deoxys ORAS treatment.
 
If they are still working on improving SwSh with updates, Gen 4 remakes might had to be delayed unless they want to go the Emerald and FireRed/LeafGreen route.

Maybe they could still work on Sword and Shield with updates even while working on Sinnoh remakes to make sure they are compatible?
 
The person who leaked Glastrier and Spectrier tweeted a few days ago a hint as to the nature of the upcoming main series game: apparently, it won't be branded as "Let's Go" but it might still have some features of LGP/LGE. Look up Centro on Twitter and you will find whom I'm talking about.
