Customization Thread

I'd say we can, but to a limited degree. The clothing design looks like a uniform with that logo and emblem and all, so I think we won't be able to do much with it. Maybe we'll be able to change into some more casual outfit in certain occasions? I also hope we'll get at least the bare minimum, that is the skin tone etc.

Considering that you get a Hisuian Growlithe outfit if you pre-order, I think customization is going to make its return, though I'm unsure as to what degree. You can also see a building with scissors in the background of one of the clips shown during the Presents, which looks like a hair stylist shop.

Edit:

According to Serebii, some retailers will also offer a Garchomp-themed clothing set. Not sure where he saw that info or where he got the image, but here it is:

So we are getting some form of customization, albeit it's only pre-order bonuses and retailer exclusive stuff. I don't doubt we're gonna have some options though they'll be pretty limited.

The region map also shows people wearing outfits clearly modeled after Dialga and Palkia.

The common theme so far is that Pokémon have inspired the fashion of this era/region. I’m wondering if the outfits will all be based on specific Pokémon (Growlithe, Garchomp, Dialga, Palkia, etc) or if there will also be other themes (seasonal, cool/cute, etc).

I’m also wondering if you can mix and match ( Growlithe top, Garchomp bottom, Dialga shoes) or not.

Based on the whole, outfits being based on specific Pokémon thing. I'm definitely expecting some sort of "Ultimate" Arceus themed outfit you get for beating the games story
(I say ultimate but as they dont have stats or anything its not technically ultimate)

I think we will be able to wear a version of the Dialga and Palkia themed ones since taking a look on the map shows that there are villagers wearing said themed clothes.

I really hope so but I’m kinda worried after seeing the map so empty with barely any cities or shops.

Well, appears as if customization is indeed back, and at the same level as it always has been. Does make the pre-order outfits less interesting in my book but thats just because i prefer the look of some of the other clothes we have seen.

Damn, I can be the root of modern day modelling in this age.

Very nice.
