I wouldn't mind a few new bug pokemon. Preferably pokemon being based on different species of bugs besides spiders,beetles, and butterflies. I wouldn't mind a stinkbug or a dung beetle pokemon. Like Oriden said, the dung beetle pokemon could roll around a pokeball, or as another user said, it could roll around a ball of mud and be bug/ground or something.

There are so many animals that could be pokemon,it's crazy. But,GameFreak......where the heck is a dolphin pokemon, already!
 
Hmmm I could see it in terms of a ‘PokéBall mimic” for this Gen, but I also feel like they should move away from the mimics being PokéBalls because the more realistic the games get, the less it makes sense that there are items lying on the ground inside PokéBalls. lol

I liked PLA having those crates on the beach, which look to be returning, and I hope they flat out replace the PokéBall items with something different.

Whatever the ground items look like in SV, it would bd really cute to think you’re walking up to one, notice it slowly rolling, and realize it’s this Pokémon.

Side note- regional Crustle where its shell looks like the beach crates. That would be cool! (Got the idea from the hermit crab machines in the Horizon games).
 
Do you think we are going to get fossil pokemon this gen? If so, what do you want that fossil pokemon to be? I would really like a velociraptor pokemon. That would be sweet.

I'm sorry,but I hate the gen 8 fossil pokemon. Just disgusting to look at. The designs never grew on me.

Gen 8 fossils were pretty lame. Unique idea, but not great pokemon.

I would like to see... oh, a long list of extinct animals. Wooly mammoth, wooly rhino, sabretooth, velociraptor, paraceratherium, basilosaurus, mosasaur, plesiosaur, liopleuridon-- I like the aquatic ones a lot. Gimme more like Lapras, yes please.

Hopefully we'll get some new ones.

Gen 8 had a lot of pokemon that were.....below average. In my opinion,anyway. I would also like a plesiosaur type pokemon. There's just so much you can do with fossil pokemon, i'm surprised GameFreak hasn't made more. But what animal-based pokemon would you like to see in Gen 9?
 
My fingers are still crossed for some ancient variants for fossil Pokémon. Some of them HAD to be different in the past… Galar showed they can mess up the resurrection process.

Tyrantrum covered in feathers, fossils that aren’t part rock type (again, Galar showed that to be possible).

Come onnnnnn “RF” meaning “regional fossils” or something.

I think Khu said something along the lines of focusing more on the "F" rather than the "R". Maybe he is hinting fossils. No idea what the "R" could mean,though.

Lol IDK. I gave up when it was tied to that Diglett, then forgot it was tied to that Diglett, and now here we are.

Maybe it’s not actually tied to Diglett but the concept only? Regional Cradily that shoots up geysers?

I think we only thought it was Diglett because of the Water/Ground riddle, but that’s pointing to Wooper now right?
 
Do y'all believe we are getting another trailer on June 29th if the official Pokemon twitter does post a "Welcome to the Galar Region" video tomorrow? I would say that confrms we are getting a new trailer next week,right? What would be the purpose of the countdown,then?

Water/Ground seems to definitely be Wooper, yeah. The Diglett is something else.

I would definitely bet on a trailer coming on the 29th. That or I guess after the Galar video gets posted they could immediately drop one on our heads.

I think they’ve done multiple countdowns before that have led to nothing. BUT June 29 is also the day of a rumored Nintendo Direct, so I think there is a solid chance of region info being in the Nintendo Direct.

Now if that rumor ends up false, who knows. lol
 
Let's say we do get a trailer on the 29th. What do y'all think it's going to reveal? I'd say for sure the region name and new gimmick. Other than that, maybe we'd get some more new characters such as gym leaders. And as far as new pokemon, if any, maybe the early route bird and bug or something.

I think usually when they do region countdowns when we're due for news, it leads up. Especially at this point, since they still haven't introduced the region, it's kind of a guarantee where this one is headed.
