SV Leaks and/or Rumours Thread

Bug type could theoretically work but I feel like it would need to be on the fire type. Being on the water starter would make it no longer resist the fire starter and being on the grass starter makes it extra weak to the fire starter.
Sounds cool! I can see it now, a Fire/Bug type Stag Beetle starter which everyone insists represents the Bull Zodiac because of the horns, provided that theory is still alive after Fuecoco.

I'm just glad that they're all dual type again even if they are repeats. I was never a fan of the single-typed starters, with the exception of Serperior.

I think its tough for there to be "unique" secondary typings for starters, since Dark, Fighting, Ghost and so forth are among the more powerful and popular typings in the game. As the player's first Pokemon, the starters need to have a slight edge over ordinary Pokemon, and the simplest way to do that is give them a strong secondary typing. Its probably why we have never seen Flying again after Charizard, and why we'll (sadly) never get a Bug-type starter Pokemon.
Flying is one of the most powerful types in the game though.

Hmm, on second thought, I guess I can see that. For some reason I just never associated the Flying-Type with "powerful" Pokemon. The first ones that come to mind are always like Pidgey, Butterfree, and others in that category, which aren't exactly the cream of the crop as far as Pokemon go.

Granbull evolution is not confirmed so far, I think the speculation may have come from the image below, which Kaka supposedly quoted:

In hindsight, Granbull is a Gen 2 Pokemon, and would fit into the slot left empty now that Murkrow is out, provided that slot does not belong to Wooper's Regional Evo.

Isn't a Granbull evolution rumored? I saw it briefly mentioned in a video.
I don't think so. I'm pretty sure Centro or Khu would have mentioned it.

Although Kaka apparently just hinted at one so ... maybe?

Edit:

Seems like Tauros gets 3 forms? Also, we might have actually seen the new earthworm Pokemon in the background of the trailer, its a long, pink thing reaching out of the ground like a geyser.

Knowing Spain I bet one of the typings will be Ghost...or Ground.

Also: possible Shield hint that Gen 9 would be in Spain and Tauros is apparently a carnivore?

Tauros really one upping Meowth and all in one game no less.
I like this honestly. Considering we only have two regional forms, it's fun to find 4 different Tauros while exploring the land. I just wish they also included Miltank in this.

There are apparently 3 different Tauros forms in the game, plus the original one.

One if Fighting. The other two are dual typings, not yet revealed by Kaka.
Finally Khu's bull riddle makes sense. I always wondered why there were 3 bull heads.

Read an interesting theory: what if Miraidon is a paradox future version of Koraidon and vice versa?

I think both are Paradox Pokemon "from" the same Pokemon (that will likely remain unknown like BW's original dragon).
At least Khu confirmed they were bounded. And since they are the Ancient/Future Pokemon, they are obviously tied with the mechanic involving time warp.

Interesting! I like the idea that GF is returning to their own lore to expand on Pokémon designs!

Primeape's evolution could be potentially going down the route that "it gets so angry, it dies," hence the Fighting/Ghost typing or it loses the anger and becomes very zen-like? The idea that Primeape

Now, Tauros with volatile/violent nature and astounding speed? Gold and Ultra Sun Pokédex entries mention battle-scarred horns.

As a side note, I absolutely enjoy reading Pokédex entries, it's soooo fascinating!

I can see a Dark/Psichic/Fighting/Normal quartet.
We also know two of them are dual-type.

No new leaks this morning? I think Kaka did say he was finished for real.

It seems that fuecoco is somewhat of a jobmon after all. Based on a punk rocker I guess.
