I've had Pokerus twice, but that was when I was playing Emerald and using the emulator for that. I haven't gotten it in Pearl at all. But since I'm not into competetive battling that much, it's not so important to me.

True, grass gets badly hurt when it comes to contact with flying ones, but then again grass takes care of the water types, that fire can't do. But it's all up to you. :3 The game is about choices - such thing as a wrong choice in Pokémon games doesn't exist. ^-^ Good luck to you with any starter...
