Excuse me, I happen to live in the Tohoku Region of Japan (Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture) and I think that your comment regarding it is extremely ignorant.
The largest city in Tohoku is Sendai, which is a designated city. Hiun City's size is not relevant as if it were based within Japan...
Do we want new types?
NO. What for?
Pointless to add a type for the sake of it. The only reason Dark and Steel were added is because of the overpowered Psychic type in Gen I.
17 types is more than enough.
Skarmory doesn't need an evolution, it's a beast.
I would like to see more Eeveelutions. However I would also like to see evolutions for some of the more useless Pokemon.
EVOLVED FORMS WANTED FOR:
Farfetch'd
Dunsparce
Mightyena
Pachirisu
Mawile
Arbok
Marowak
Pinsir
Qwilfish...
I seriously doubt this will be the end for Pokemon. Pokemon is one of Nintendo's biggest money makers and is still massively popular in Japan. It will endure much longer.
I wonder if we will hit the 800 mark in the next 5 years...
I use conversational Japanese every day. I have definitely improved from when I was living in Australia. I've been living in Japan for about two years now and I think I have gone from about 4kyu level to pre 2kyu level (I haven't taken a JLPT yet)
Reading still gives me a hard time, personally...
Maybe someone can answer me this, it's a little thing, but it bugs me:
Why is Empoleon's romanized name written as 'Emperte' on nearly every website?
It's pronounced 'Emperuto' in Japanese and so I figured it would be spelled in the same way, like 'Emperuto' or 'Emperto'.
I know it's a...
Children learn Kanji in elementary school. A typical Japanese student should know just over around 1000 kanji by the time they start junior high.
I've never sat in on a Japanese (Kokugo) class in a Japanese school (only in their English classes), so I'm not sure how many they learn in a week...
I recently got a job in Japan as a JET participant. Whilst it is far too late to become a participant in the programme now, you can always apply for it this year for 2009.
You will work in Japanese schools as an Assistant Language Teacher, helping the Japanese English teacher and the students as...
Paul being power hungry said it all. This brings into doubt his training methods pushing him further to defeat Ash, whom he believes is inferior to him. It can later on lead to Paul even doubting his own methods, etc.
The way I see it, it appears that this series' league follows the games more...
If Munchlax does in face evolve, like many things that change in the anime, I am sure people will get used to it.
Haruka and Hikari really look like they're going to hit it off as very good friends. It makes me extremely hopeful they'll keep Haruka on the show as a rival for Hikari.
Being an...
^ Very doubtful.
I would rather see her recur in Diamond and Pearl as one of Dawn's rivals.
Some Advanceshipping hints would be nice, but I'm not fussed if there aren't any. I'm just happy to see her back for a number of episodes.
It would be nice if he won. A prize could be to face the Elite Four and Cynthia. Which can lead into an extension of the series.
However, if he can make it into the top 2 I will be happy. I don't think he should lose to Paul though. I think Paul should lose to him and pursue a rematch with Ash...
A couple of things bug me about this episode coming up, I'm sure it'll all be revealed but in the meantime it just irks at me a little.
1. In the games, Munchlax cannot learn Giga Impact. (Then again, there's been a few times where some Pokemon have used moves they can't do! i.e. Bulbasaur...
Why is it so 'absurd'? I guess it would be for just one competitio. But what if she's finished with Johto? It's certainly very possible. It took Haruka about 50+ episodes to travel through Kanto, I don't see why it's so ridiculous that she'd be in Sinnoh now. Johto could be finished for her, now...
Yeah, I've noticed a number of Australian authors do it too.
This is only my second fic, and my first one-shot. So I'll definitely keep this in mind for future one-shots.
Thank you very much. I haven't seen many fics that try to give a glimpse of the (potential) future. I basically thought...
^ Not in all books. Some, but not all. Not all novels use dialogue with double quotation marks. A number of books I have read do not use these such as Tim Winton's 'Minimum of Two', Brian Jacques 'The Taggerung', Lian Hearn's 'Across the Nightingale Floor'. Feel free to review the story as well...
