Don't see why it wouldn't be possible to adjust some Pokemon's base stats in a future generation. If you transfer them forward, their IVs, EVs, moves etc. can be kept but reapplied to new Bases. Surely a system like that is possible. Also new moves, abilities and evolutions are all possible...

Spotpass and DLC definitely. The chance to update the game post-release is fantastic, and Pokemon and Spotpass is like a match made in heaven, really.
