I don't know, Team Plasma is more likely not appearing for each episode they are not featured in, unless they are hiding in the shadows until the end of time never taking action.

I am actually thinking that Team Plasma will never show up in the anime, unless the episodes were largely edited to fit into current timelines. If so, then they might take place at Twist Mountain and Ocirrus City instead of Desert Resort and Castelia City.
