I didn't really like this episode too much, it was kinda boring. Meguroco showing up wasn't a surprise to me since I speculated that it would be a reoccuring Pokemon, but it blasting off like the Old TR really made me sad that the Old TR is dead.

I think if he were to lose in the League again that the battle should be on par with his match against Paul by coming down to the wire. They should also have his opponent premiere some 6th Gen Pokemon as well.

Judging by his performance in the GF and SL, he was definitely better suited for Contest.

I was pretty surprised that Dento caught Ishizumai, I never expected him to get that. It was also good to see that Iris has medical skills. This episode wasn't too bad, I enjoyed it.

Nobody cheated, so of course the win was was legit, and I don't think Paul went easy on Ash either. It was already in the writers plans to have Ash defeat Paul, so in reality, it wouldn't have mattered what 6 Pokemon Paul used he still would have lost.

The old TR is dead, they're lifeless and boring drones now who's only goal is to carry out Giovanni's orders. So they probably wont be show any interest in tournaments or contest now.

Yeah, the dialogue and interaction between Ash & Co. and Paul was handled very well. I like how they made him arrogant but also able to back it up with his battling skills. He was truly a great rival that will be hard to top.

I liked TR all the way up until BW, now they're just boring and lack everything that made them great. I liked TR best in OS as a whole, but I voted for Johto TR because I felt like they had a lot more funny moments in that saga than any other.

It's not over-excitement at all, it's Shooti. Since the writers decided to give him a Rookie Trainer as a rival this time around, they had to adjust Ash's skill level to accommodate the rivalry. If Ash would have maintained the skills he had in DP, he would be defeating Shooti with ease, which...

I've liked all the Generations so far, but Gen 3 was a bit of a disappointment for me. Mainly due to the lack of the Day/Night feature and the inability to transfer Pokemon from GSC into RSE.

Ash, Brock, and Misty definitely had the most chemistry. Ash has interacted with all the females pretty evenly, but Misty was the only one I felt Brock had a connection with.

I'm sorry, I'm just not buying this rivalry. When Ash got demolished by Paul, it was understandable since they were on equal footing. But Shooti is a BRAND NEW TRAINER, so I can't help but feel bothered by that. The battle was pretty lackluster with only Pikachu and Tsutarja putting up a fight...

I found Zoey rather bland, so I wouldn't want a rival like that for Ash. But as for Ash having a female rival, I'm all for it.
