Doesn't the Pokédex say that it was a virus from space that came to earth on a meteor, and it mutated in earth's atmosphere or something like that? Maybe it detected that it would be able to become stronger and be able to be better at what viruses do best: infection and multiplication.

Yawn. Works just like Sleep Powder, Hypnosis, etc. except it takes two turns instead of one.

The first shiny Pokemon I saw was a Nidoran. Male with female colors. This was in FireRed, and this was the first male Nidoran I saw. I did NOT have Poke Balls with me, so I beat it. I didn't know it was shiny. The first shiny I GOT was Pikachu-colored Pichu.
