Definitely Professor Oak. He's the only one I know of among the listed group that did Pokemon battles before becoming a researcher and for that alone I wouldn't mind a pokemon battle with him.
Blastoise is always going to win it out for me. He looks better, in my opinion. My first starter was a Squirtle on Blue version and I raised him to be a level 100 Blastoise.
Charizard will always be my favorite. I don't think I could make a top ten or even a top five list because that would change so often because I have so many I like after Charizard.
