Seriously. He might not have tried in this episode, but we can't act like his goal since day 1 hasn't been to catch Mew. Its certainly on his mind.

The episode felt very weird and confusing. They had decent ideas but didn'd know how to execute them. I didn't understand the purpose of the crystals and why Mew turned them off, the purpose of the World of Pokemon center, Virizion being useless (at least it appeared, unlike Suicune who is pretty much gone forever and thus a completely pointless controversy) and why was Project Mew disbanded so quickly.
At least it had good art direction, a crazy battle of everyone vs Mew, and a memorable scene in the part where Mew appeared in Goh's hand. Project Mew may have had some strange decisions but at least it's clear that Goh got what he wanted out of it and it turned him into a better person.

Good point I guess. I still wished the battle lasted a bit longer though, felt pretty anti-climactic and rushed for it to end so quickly.

About the split part. I dont know what Mew did exactly.. But in general it looks like 'all is fake' and its using his Psy ability to make some tricks - as creating visual of 2 pokemon at the same time. Im not even sure he is changing his o2n shape and using real attacks but its making us see his power as such, and it more than enough to knockout any pokemon.
About Goh, his conclusion was meh and the Project Mew colnclusion as well. Im fine with the trio not in the chase anymore. Seems like they were able to collect some new data. But maybe the Project can't get enough of it, and wont be able to understand, realy. Or maybe it was just the autor to keep too much offscreen. So whats their next step? For me it doean't mater.
