What is a "minor edit"?

Yeah, stupid question, but I'm not quite sure of the boundry between "minor edit" and "real, proper edit".
A little help? ^_^;
 
Generally, I think of minor edits as not adding or removing content (a.k.a. formatting changes, except for very major style changes in the article) or when the content added or removed is minimal or trivial.

The definition is not set in stone, unfortunately. But that makes it less of a problem the few times one accidently marks a minor edit as major or a major edit as minor (both of which I've done multiple times. >>')
