Starter Pokémon: Lunatone (Chandra) - Genderless, referred to as a male
Appearance: He has fair skin complexion, eyes of a dark gray, and straight black hair. His outfit normally consists of a black longcoat, with an undershirt of a dark purple color. He also wears dark blue pants, dark gray boots, and dark purple fingerless gloves with some sort of obscure arcane symbol on them.
Personality: Dusza is definitely an interesting character. He can come off as distanced and melancholy, but in truth, he is a truly compassionate individual. He is a very noble person, and outright refuses to do anything out of spite, revenge, or impulse. They just aren't a part of his belief system. He sees the difference between what is accepted and what is right. And he simply cannot stand those who manipulate, deceive, and use unnecessary amounts of force to obtain their goals, developing a condescending nature to those particular people. He does an incredibly good job of keeping his temper controlled, and even when he gets angered, he doesn't dissolve into a raging wreck. That isn't to say that he never gets angry, though.
He isn't without flaws, though. He refuses to do anything that clashes with his nobility. He is incredibly persistent, even when it would be a better idea to abandon the plan. He has a major case of insomnia, making his sleep schedule very erratic, sometimes passing out against his will. And he suffers from ophidiophobia, the fear of snakes.
Personal History: Dusza was definitely an interesting person. His sense of justice had been evident even in his childhood, which made him quite a few friends, but made him numerous enemies as well. They mocked him. In his youth, Dusza had not developed the impulse control he has now, so he had a tendency to lash out at them, if only in a verbal manner. He took an interest in the creatures known as Pokemon, wanting to acquire one of his own.
Even though it didn't happen until his adolescence, he got his wish. One day, when he was wandering around town, he caught sight of an enigmatic creature. What appeared to be a rock, fashioned after a crescent moon, levitating off of the ground, its two beady red eyes looking around cautiously. A Lunatone. Nearby, what appeared to be a hole in the ground stood out. Dusza tentatively approached the Pokemon, who gave him a blank stare. Dusza soon determined that this creature was alien to this area.
"Do you know where you are?" Dusza asked. He couldn't stand the thought of a Pokemon in an unknown and possibly hostile environment.
"You aren't scared?"
The voice startled Dusza. It seemed to have no source, echoing within his mind. Apparently this Pokemon had the power of telepathy. "No. Why would I be scared?"
"My eyes fill those who gaze into it with fear...who are you?" The Lunatone's voice was almost frightened.
Dusza nodded, understanding the Pokemon's apprehension. "This is Earth. My name is Dusza. If you would consent to accompanying me, I could familiarize you with this area."
The Lunatone considered this for a moment. "You seem trustworthy, human. My name is Chandra. I suppose I will travel with you, if not for my own safety."
After about another year, Dusza, having finally found a Pokemon, and perhaps finally found one he could call a friend, decided to challenge the Pokemon League. Life in Fallarbor was starting to become far too uneventful for him to stomach. Plus, his parents normally restricted him from traveling anywhere outside of the town, and he was curious as to what the rest of the region was like.

Appearance: Neil has a facial appearance that would make one incorrectly assume that he doesn't go out all too often. He's got baggy and bloodshot brown eyes, disheveled black hair, and is starting to grow a bit of a beard. He generally wears fine fabric clothes, not really caring for money. He generally has a deep-crimson T-shirt on with baggy khaki shorts. His utility equipment includes a belt which carries Pokeballs for him, a bag for his miscellaneous objects, a touch-screen phone, and has a beige shoulder pad to act as a post to his small pokemon. His black tennis shoes have shown very little deterioration, despite his exploits. He uses special (for sentimental reasons) black tough leather gloves for when he's battling. As for his personality and general aura, there are very few times where he won't have a smirk on his face.
Personality: Very impulsive, to put it bluntly. Will willingly endanger himself, just for the slight chance of something exciting. He's a Daredevil who can be very inconsiderate for his acquaintances, but can nearly always ensure that they'll have an experience. He'll be nice to those who he deems as kind, but that's not saying that he'll ever be afraid of stepping up to people who hurt others willingly. He tries his best to keep his temper, but in those cases of people abusing their power or remaining stationary for too long, he may not be able to control himself. Lives life by the experience, and hates wasting time doing anything that's not leading into an experience. He hates associating himself with anything, and has attachment issues to follow suit with that. He's a great wingman, but not a very good pilot. Doesn't really have a care in the world at this point.

Neil had been sick throughout his life. After finally getting the OK, Neil decided that he wanted to go on the journey that he had to miss as a preteen. He was born in the harsh Survival Area of the Sinnoh Region, but had to move around a lot due to his illness. Professor Rowan gave him his starter pokemon, Chauncy when he was 15, due to Neil being sick in the hospital while he was ten. The two have bonded throughout the years they've spent together, but the Chimchar still only knows hypothetical battle experience. He's made most of his friends from the hospital, but there still aren't very many. He's convinced the longer he waits for a pokemon journey, the less time he'll have, so he's got to get going.
Neil, as a child, was rather melancholy. One wouldn't confuse the current and past Neil, despite their similar features. Neil seemed depressed until two years ago, where he suddenly started to take more chances, simply after picking a different kind of Ice Cream and realizing the importance of sensation. Well, it wasn't just that, but I don't want to spoil the story for you. Neil still desperately tries to hide his weaknesses, so he might still be as selfconsious as before. If he's uncomfortable, he'll keep on trying to change the topic for a long time before he'll literally run away from it. He has a tendency to speak in quotes, double entendres, and otherwise poetic speech.

I was somewhat aware of that, but I felt that I'd rather have it as a tool for me to build a template for the character of Neil's pokemon, because I've felt that I haven't given my character's pokemon enough dimensions in that past. I'll delete if you request it, though.

I spent a couple days reading the entire Pokemon Universe: Johto RP thread and I loved every bit of it. Especially how every RPer takes it seriously and how detailed it is. Thus, when I saw that this was going to be set in Hoenn (my favorite region) I couldn't wait. So, without further ado I present to you my sign-up:

Starter Pokémon: Venny the Ralts (Male)
Appearance: AC is 190 cm (which is about 6'2'') and weighs around 82 kg (approximately 180.7 lbs). He has messy, medium length hair. His hair is pitch-black and his hair is quite bushy. His irises are also pitch-black. He does not have any facial hair nor does he want any. His body has a high fat ratio and low muscle ratio. He is not that well-built, but due to his height he does seem thin compared to his actual weight. The majority of his fat is around his thighs.
As for his clothing the following can be said: He has three different outfits that he is comfortable with it. Before leaving Mossdeep to start his journey, he worked in the Space Center. Thus, he has a white labcoat that reaches his feet. Sometimes he is seen with that white labcoat on. His white labcoat has one large pocket over his heart, which he uses to place pens, important cards and other things. In addition, on both sides of his labcoat, near the thighs, are pockets. He usually keeps them empty but he does sometimes use them to keep his only Pokeball. His second outfit is his sports outfit. It consists of a black hoodie with a white eagle (if you say eagles don't exist in the Pokemon World, then think of it as a White-Black colored Braviary) on the back and black sweatpants with three white stripes running down sides. His third outfit is his black suit. It consists of a black top hat with a white stripe, a black blouse and grey tie, a black tux and black pants with black dress shoes. He plans to use his second outfit during his travels (i.e. travelling from town to town). He plans to use his third outfit during his battles as he believes that he needs to look his best when he battles.
Personality: Both of AC's parents work at the Mossdeep Space Center, thus they are barely ever home. What's more is that AC has a younger brother. Since his parents are rarely home, AC had to look after his brother at a very young age. This thought him to be responsible. Furthermore, it thought him to prioritize as he had sacrifice his free time and play time with his friends in order to look after his brother. He learned that duty came before fun. Moreover, since both his parents are scientists, they gave extreme importance to AC's education. Thus, AC's priority as a child was to learn about mathematics, the sciences and other classes rather than Pokemon. Thus, AC did not have the same experience with Pokemon when compared with most of his peers. Instead, he had intimate relations with books from his father's personal library. This resulted with AC being smarter and wiser compared to his peers. Furthermore, all the studying and his perseverance to keep on studying made him extremely determined. This intelligence and wisdom made him someone who everyone looked up to and came to for advice. He became doubly venerable with his radiating smile. He wanted to reciprocate the love he received from his friends, thus he became extremely generous. All in all, he turned into a leader among his peers. However, like every leader, AC also has tragic flaws. First, he still has a cry-baby streak. He sometimes cries when something doesn't go his way. Sometimes he becomes extremely angry and loses his reasoning skills. He starts to yell and can't calm down. His rage is best compared to volcano erupting, however this rage is quite rare. Furthermore, he is not that close with Pokemon which is troublesome for him but through this journey he desires to resolve that problem.

Thus, as a toddler, he spent his days in the Space Center alongside his parents. Thus, at a young age, he was exposed to the Space Center and the tasks of scientists. As he grew a bit older, he began to go to school. He would spend the morning in school and the afternoon in the Space Center. Soon, his brother was born and at the age of 8, he was responsible of looking after his newly born brother. Thus, he barely had any time for Pokemon. His life consisted of looking after his brother, going to school and spending time in the Space Center.
However, all his friends spent time with their parents Pokemon. This caused a longing for Pokemon within AC, but he knew that his parents would say that his studies come first. Nevertheless, he decided to ask for a Pokemon for his tenth birthday and to his surprise his parents accepted. His father took AC to a batch of grass to catch him a Pokemon. AC told his father that he wanted a Ralts. His father called upon his Alakazam and they began to search for a Ralts. They had started the search for a Ralts around noon and as the sun set on Mossdeep during the summer day, his father still had not found a Ralts. He didn't want to let down his son so he promised AC that he would stay up all night looking for the Ralts. AC, too, wanted to watch his father catch a Ralts but sleep overcame him and AC went to bed. When he got up to go to school, he was faced with a surprise. Across his bed stood a Ralts. His father had kept his promise and caught a Ralts. AC was extremely happy. He ran to the Ralts and hugged him. He then said, "I'll call you Venny. That's short for Venerable which is an adjective I hope you'll be given one day just like me." Ralts had taken a liking to AC right away. This was the start of a brand new friendship. It also marked AC's first interaction with actual Pokemon.
However, AC's parents' restrictions prevented him from pursuing his goal to challenge the Pokemon League and travel the various regions of the Pokemon World. He had to first become a scientist as that was his parents' dream. Thus, he and Ralts barely battled but studied together. Sometimes they would practice Ralts' moves but that was it. At the age of 13, AC had finished his education. With his intelligence, he began to work as an assistant to the scientists in the Space Center along with his Ralts. After four years of assisting scientists, AC was finally allowed to become an actual scientist in the Space Center. His parents were also proud of him as AC had fulfilled their dreams for him at the age of 17. Thus, they allowed AC to start living independently. AC could finally do what he wanted. He talked with the director and told him how he had always wanted to win the Pokemon League and travel the world meeting new Pokemon along the way. His director was also a trainer once and he could easily empathize with AC. Thus, he allowed AC to pursue his dream as a trainer only if he was to comeback and work at the Space Center once his journey was over. AC accepted without hesitation. Thus, with his Ralts he set out start his journey to become a Champion. Though he had Venny for seven years, AC and Venny had no battling experience and thus it was as if AC was going to get to know Venny all over again along with meeting new Pokemon. AC consulted his friends Tate and Liza, the gym leaders of Mossdeep City and they told him that the journey would strengthen his bond with his Ralts and teach him true friendship.

It also marked AC's first interaction with actual Pokemon.
However, AC's parents' restrictions prevented him from pursuing his goal to challenge the Pokemon League and travel the various regions of the Pokemon World. He had to first become a scientist as that was his parents' dream. Thus, he and Ralts barely battled but studied together. Sometimes they would practice Ralts' moves but that was it. At the age of 13, AC had finished his education. With his intelligence, he began to work as an assistant to the scientists in the Space Center along with his Ralts. After four years of assisting scientists, AC was finally allowed to become an actual scientist in the Space Center. His parents were also proud of him as AC had fulfilled their dreams for him at the age of 17. Thus, they allowed AC to start living independently. AC could finally do what he wanted. He talked with the director and told him how he had always wanted to win the Pokemon League and travel the world meeting new Pokemon along the way. His director was also a trainer once and he could easily empathize with AC. Thus, he allowed AC to pursue his dream as a trainer only if he was to comeback and work at the Space Center once his journey was over. AC accepted without hesitation. Thus, with his Ralts he set out start his journey to become a Champion. Though he had Venny for seven years, AC and Venny had no battling experience and thus it was as if AC was going to get to know Venny all over again along with meeting new Pokemon. AC consulted his friends Tate and Liza, the gym leaders of Mossdeep City and they told him that the journey would strengthen his bond with his Ralts and teach him true friendship.

The shock of this realization left Enzap not sure of how he felt about Skippy any more since they could hear basically all of the other's thoughts through their bond. Enzap eventually decided to accept their bond and his new-found powers. When they met Team Universe at Mount Silver, Skippy was taken away from Enzap. Enzap felt like a part of him was missing and hurtled into a sort of crazed depression. The only thing keeping him sane are the few glimmers of Skippy's mind that he sporatically feels every few days.
